Abbie Hoffman said, “Don’t tell me what you believe, show me what you do, and I’ll tell you what you believe”. That does say it all. It doesn’t matter what we so loudly profess… it’s what we so silently do that impresses itself on our kids. That’s why I hate affected things such as tithing and protest marches… they’re public shows… often, they don’t reflect the secret desires of the heart. God loves a cheerful giver… and not just to the Church! Our kids DO notice what we do and what we don’t do. Give that a thought…

Those complaining of the rise of atheism amongst the young rarely look at themselves nor remember themselves at an earlier age… yes, I AM optimistic about the coming cohort…

16 December 2015. Be WARY of Loud Religious Hobbyists

ALWAYS mistrust the Religious Hobbyist… they don’t give a good goddamn for God or for Man… their actions say so, abundantly!

Be especially wary of nihilism in religious vesture. A Russian bishop called such people “Christian atheists”. Have a care… it’s penetrated amongst us… particularly, amongst those who decry social ills. Do remember Our Lord’s warning… “Not all who cry ‘Lord, Lord’ will win the Kingdom of Heaven”. Beware those who call for a Bonfire of the Vanities. Do remember how Savonarola ended and how ephemeral his “reforms” were.
