LNR Opens First Industrial Waste Recycling Facility

At a meeting of officials concerned with industrial waste, Yuri Degtaryov, an agency head of the LNR Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Safety said that Ukroresursy installed the first Fortan 4 facility for recycling of industrial waste under the Ministry’s control:

We have a monstrous accumulation of waste in our Republic. When military operations began in the LNR, we already had 1.2 billion tons of waste. Previously, most of our industrial waste went for recycling in Donetsk and in Dnepropetrovsk Oblast; the rest went for processing in Lisichansk and Rubezhnoe. Since the Ukrainian blockade of the LNR and DNR prevented us sending waste for treatment, it created all the prerequisites for creating a full-blown environmental emergency related to waste accumulation in our territory. Now, we face the task of countering these Ukrainian actions to prevent deterioration in the ecological situation in the Republic.

The “first fruits” of this was Ukroresursy installing a Fortan 4 facility to process rubber waste, including tires. Today, we see the how our business sector is going in that direction. They brought a Fortan 4 unit, made in the Crimea, and put it into operation. It acts using thermal pyrolysis, and so far it’s processed more than 50 tonnes of tires. It also can recycle certain types of medical waste… syringes, gloves, etc. This recycling process turns all waste into raw materials for further processing. The end-products are carbon polymers and steel alloys, along with oil that can be used as diesel fuel.

Andrei Tsereteli, Director of Ukroresursy, went on to say:

We can dispose of any polymer at this facility. By recycling waste rubber and tires, we get nearly 50 percent of the input weight as liquid fuel. For example, 10 tonnes of waste produces 5 tonnes of liquid fuel. Of the rest, 10-15 percent is scrap metal and the rest is carbon polymers. The installation takes 8-10 hours to recycle 2 tonnes of waste. Pyrolysis is absolutely safe for the environment, there are almost no emissions into the air. However, we still have difficulties with dealing with the end-products. For example, we haven’t been able to sell the steel alloy. Almost all of its stuck in the warehouse.

Deputy Chairman of the Government Aleksandr Kravtsov promised:

We’ll help with marketing and creating a demand in the marketplace for these products.

LNR Ministry of Industry staff at the meeting reported that there are 28 companies processing scrap metal in the Republic; they promised to get them and Ukroresursy together.

Here’s how I replied to a post by Igumen Tryphon Parsons:

If you love yourself, that shows up in love for others. If you’re stuck on yourself, that shows up in aggression towards others. You love yourself as God’s creature… then, you love those around you, who are also God’s creatures. However, if you don’t love yourself, you can’t love anyone else. I live by two simple maxims:

1. You gotta wanna

2. You gotta give a shit

All else is commentary. It all flows from love… love of life, love of God, love of Creation, love of those about you, and love for yourself. HT to Igumen Tryphon.

Here’s the progression:

1. God created you
2. God created you to love
3. If you love God, you’ll love yourself
4. If you love yourself as God’s creature, you’ll love all of his other creatures (both human and animal), for that was His intent in making you
5. If you love others, it manifests itself in practical actions
6. That practical love of others will kindle love in others

That’s how the Circle of Love operates. It isn’t sentimental, mawkish, or maudlin at all. It all starts with real Love of Self… not selfishness, not narcissism, not arrogance… a love of oneself as one loved by one’s Creator. Do think on that… what does that tell us of most “conventionally religious” people? How much real love have you seen from them? I haven’t seen a bit of it… I do daresay that I’m not alone in thinking that way…

22 January 2016. Pro-Life Nutters to March Despite State of Emergency

The Republican Pro-Life nutters are marching today… despite the fact that DC will go to a state of emergency at 09.30 this morning. The Metro will shut down tomorrow and Sunday… but the GOP Pro-Life loonies are going to march! This shows you the depth of their fanaticism and lack of regard for their fellow-man. I need to find a corner to be sick in… this is too much of a muchness. This is what happens when religious hobbyists deny reality… I only hope that no one gets hurt. If you’re in the DC area… stay home, put on a pot of coffee, put a shot of something good in it when it’s done, and CHILL. Why can’t these over-religious jabronies do likewise?
