Here are some Cabinet ruminations on this pearl of American Working Class Epicuria:
We had fried bologna with an egg. With toast and jam… the best breakfast ever. Easier than bacon.
No, but Dad liked Spam. Mom sniffed at it. I still like it!
Fried Bologna! Does that bring back MEMORIES? My mom used dill pickles, Velveeta, and raw onion… those WERE the days…
Luckily, I never grew up with Velveeta, but I did grow up with fried bologna.
Oh yes! Love that! We used sweet onion.
Yes… good stuff… if you didn’t have it, well, you missed out! Are you ashamed to like Velveeta, fried bologna, or a bag of potato chips with a cold beer? Well… you have some “issues” to attend to! As for me, I like what I like, and if someone sniffs at it and thinks it “low”, they can go and post their images of their precious little yuppie lunches on their blogs all that they want. I’ll stick with the real world and what I truly like. Ponder that…

Comrade Fidel is physically-frail… but his eyes shine with undimmed mental vigour and acuity. These are two old friends… note well that HH does NOT hobnob with godless American “conservative” trash. The good birds DO flock together… isn’t it rich how Potapov, Whiteford, Holland, Webster, Paffso, et al have to commemorate HH at every liturgy? There IS a God in Heaven, kids… He has a fitting sense of justice!

In Havana, on 13 February 2016, on the third day of his visit to Cuba, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev of Moscow and all the Russias called on Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (former President of the Council of State and Ministers of Cuba)… who turns 90-years-old this August… at his home. They discussed various issues of international relations in detail. Castro pointed up how important the historic meeting of Patriarch Kirill with Pope of Rome Francisco Bergoglio was, which took place the day before. Patriarch Kirill thanked Castro for the fact that Orthodox in Havana have their own church building. The Cuban state helped fund the Russian Orthodox Church of the Mother of God of Kazan, which included money given by President Castro himself.
