This was today’s May Day demonstration in La Habana. Far from being moribund, socialism in Cuba is still strong. Why? It’s simple… Cubans don’t want the Anglo filth to dominate and denigrate them like they did from 1898 to 1960. As one Cuban said:
The Spaniards were bad, but they didn’t look down on us. The Americans not only were worse, they made it clear that they were morally superior to us. I’d die before I’d let the Americans back on the island. My dad fought the American invasion at the Bay of Pigs. I’ll fight them too… he was right.
Cuba isn’t “easy picking’s”… the USA will find that out to its cost…
