Comrade Fidel on REAL Human Rights

There’s often talk of human rights, but it’s also necessary to talk of the rights of humanity. Why should some people walk barefoot, so that others can travel in luxurious cars? Why should some live for thirty-five years, so that others can live for seventy years? Why should some be miserably poor so that others can be hugely rich? I speak on behalf of the children in the world who don’t have a piece of bread. I speak on the behalf of the sick that have no medicine, of those denied their rights to life and human dignity.

Fidel Castro Ruz

Address to the UN General Assembly, 1979

Editor:

Note well that the Western poseurs want us to feel sorry for the rich and bloated… and to kick aside the poor and destitute. Indeed, the “conservative” mindset is unutterably and irredeemably evil… the worst being the so-called “neocons” and “paleocons”. The former believe in violence and rapine in foreign parts; the latter believe in violence and rapine confined to the domestic sphere. Note well that the so-called “paleocons” all defend the Confederacy… a polity that committed political suicide because it wouldn’t abolish human chattel slavery.

Comrade Fidel kept his word and do note how restrained his funeral was; it was without needless pomp and without public puffery. It was as modest as the man himself was. You can emulate Comrade Fidel or you can emulate Donald Trump… it’s clear to me that decency calls out for only one of those named… it sure isn’t “The Donald”…

This came in from a friend of mine; I find it a “read n’ heed” and I’d say it has nothing we need to add to it.

It’d be well to realise that the talk of “humane methods of warfare”, of the “rules of civilised warfare”, and all such homage to the finer sentiments of the race are hypocritical and unreal, and only intended for the consumption of stay-at-homes. There are no humane methods of warfare, there’s no such thing as civilised warfare; all warfare is inhuman, all warfare is barbaric; the first blast of the bugles of war ever sounds for the time being the funeral knell of human progress… What lover of humanity can view with anything but horror the prospect of this ruthless destruction of human life? Yet, this is war… war for which all the jingoes are howling, war to which all the hopes of the world are being sacrificed, war to which a mad ruling class would plunge a mad world.

James Connelly

I’m going to this well again if only to show that nationalism and capitalism lead directly to war while at the same time claiming war can be conducted in a human or just manner. It can’t and the Orthodox Church never claimed it could, and to the best of my recollection, it rejected such notions. From the Roman Empire in Constantinople to Russia, the Church always saw war and sabre-rattling as options of last resort. Instead, it offered the word of Christ to cultures that might raise the sword, knowing that war must be the last option because Christ in the Incarnation saved all human beings regardless of race, colour etc. and as such war destroys the humanity He took and healed. Compare that to the warmongering or potential warmongering done or supported by the majority of politicians from Trump to Clinton. War must be a last resort and we can never consider it civilised or humane from an Orthodox perspective IMHO.

Russell “Texas” Bentley on the One Percent

The “murderous dictator” Fidel Castro Ruz provided free medical, housing, and education to all Cuban citizens, and did that whilst under an economic blockade by the world’s most powerful nation. The “madman” and “terrorist” Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar Gaddafi used the wealth from Libya’s natural resources to provide free housing, medical care, and education to every Libyan citizen. He subsidised food and fuel prices (gasoline was 0.14 USD (9 Roubles. 1 Renminbi. 10 INR. 0.19 CAD. 0.19 AUD. 0.13 Euro. 0.11 UK Pound) a gallon) and electricity was free for domestic use. He also gave every newlywed couple a wedding present of 50,000 USD (3.21 million Roubles. 347,500 Renminbi. 3.41 million INR. 66,750 CAD. 67,200 AUD. 47,500 Euros. 39,400 UK Pounds), and a 5,000 USD (321,000 Roubles. 34,750 Renminbi. 341,000 INR. 6,675 CAD. 6,720 AUD. 4,750 Euros. 3,940 UK Pounds) birthday present to the parents of every newborn child. Think about that for a minute. In addition, don’t try to tell me that we can’t do it, because it has been. Some might say it only worked on a small-scale, for 11 million in Cuba and 6 million in Libya, but they conveniently forget about the USSR, which with all its imperfections did basically the same for hundreds of millions of people for generations. Therefore, yeah, it’s been done, and what’s been done once, can be done again. Moreover, this time, even better. There’s much that we can do, and much to be done, but the starting point is to understand the real conflict and who the real enemy is. The richest One Percent considers us as their livestock, their inferiors. They intend to exploit those of us who are profitable, and to dispose of the rest. They’re the true enemy of Humanity, and it’s up to us, the vast majority of Humanity, to understand this and to do something about it.

Russell “Texas” Bentley

This is an excerpt… the rest of the post is here, for those who wish to see the whole banana.

Editor:

I heartily recommend ANYTHING by Russell Bentley… he’s put his life on the line for his principles… unlike rightwing mercenary filth like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Rod Dreher, and Bill O’Reilly… all loudmouthed shills for war… all gutless yellow cowards who refused to serve their country (that’s right, none of them served in the forces… all of them earned the “white feather” for that). Bookmark this link and this one, and you’ll stay in touch with one of the heroes of our time.

Yes… the Affluent Effluent are our enemies, and the sooner that we realise that, the better off we all shall be.
