There’s often talk of human rights, but it’s also necessary to talk of the rights of humanity. Why should some people walk barefoot, so that others can travel in luxurious cars? Why should some live for thirty-five years, so that others can live for seventy years? Why should some be miserably poor so that others can be hugely rich? I speak on behalf of the children in the world who don’t have a piece of bread. I speak on the behalf of the sick that have no medicine, of those denied their rights to life and human dignity.
Fidel Castro Ruz
Address to the UN General Assembly, 1979
Note well that the Western poseurs want us to feel sorry for the rich and bloated… and to kick aside the poor and destitute. Indeed, the “conservative” mindset is unutterably and irredeemably evil… the worst being the so-called “neocons” and “paleocons”. The former believe in violence and rapine in foreign parts; the latter believe in violence and rapine confined to the domestic sphere. Note well that the so-called “paleocons” all defend the Confederacy… a polity that committed political suicide because it wouldn’t abolish human chattel slavery.
Comrade Fidel kept his word and do note how restrained his funeral was; it was without needless pomp and without public puffery. It was as modest as the man himself was. You can emulate Comrade Fidel or you can emulate Donald Trump… it’s clear to me that decency calls out for only one of those named… it sure isn’t “The Donald”…
