Bodies of Russian Medics Killed in Aleppo to Arrive in Birobidzhan on Friday

On Wednesday, an MVD source told RIA Novosti that the bodies of two Russian medics killed in Aleppo by terrorist shelling will be flown to Birobidzhan in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast (EAO) in the Russian Far East on 9 December. According to the source, the funerals will take place on Saturday, saying:

The aircraft with the bodies [of the medics] will leave from Moscow to Khabarovsk at 19.00 MSK [16:00 UTC]. The bodies will be flown from Khabarovsk to Birobidzhan by a helicopter, so, they’ll arrive in the EAO only tomorrow.

On 5 December, terrorist shelling on a Russian mobile military hospital in Aleppo killed two army medics from Birobidzhan, Praporshchik* Nadezhda Durachenko and Starshina* Galina Mikhailova, and seriously wounded Professor Vadim Arsentyev from the Paediatric Faculty of the Kirov Military Medical Academy. Besides that, the terrorist attack injured local residents onsite for medical care. The Minoborony Rossii regards the tragic incident as premeditated murder, blaming the so-called moderate opposition and its Western sponsors.
