Few people are as dangerous to humanity as those who consider themselves righteous defenders of virtue. Far too often, they have been the authors of state terrorism. Look at Cromwell, Robespierre, Ayatollah Khomeini, Stalin and Mao (who claimed to guard the purity of Communist virtues), and Wahhabism, which spawned ISIS and most of the other virtue-spouting terrorists of our own day. By the way, does anyone question the US leadership’s assertion that Iran is behind much of the world’s Islamist terrorism, even though Sunni, and not Shi’ite, Muslims carry out that terrorism? Why aren’t Christians making a real defence of the poor and downtrodden? Because the leading and loudest voices in American “Christianity” want to see “virtue” enforced by law, and they don’t care at all for those for whom Christ cared. “Enforcing virtue” consumes them, even though they have little respect for the virtues that Christ taught. They fancy themselves “righteous defenders of virtue”, but have no use for the teachings and example of Christ. American Evangelicalism is merely a rightwing political movement that uses Christ as a cheap frontman for their extreme politics and displays little that would commend them as followers of Christ.

HH offered a similar viewpoint on the Sunday of Orthodoxy in 2009:
Never did the Lord say, “My teaching or death”. None of the Apostles said, “Orthodoxy or Death”. Because Orthodoxy is life eternal, it’s joy in the Holy Spirit, it’s the joy of life, but death is decay that came because of the Fall and the devil’s action. Now, we see, from time to time, false teachers who seduce people by calling to save Christianity, to save its purity, who repeat this dangerous, sinful, and self-contradictory slogan “Orthodoxy or death”. In the eyes of these people, you won’t find love; there burns a fire of demonic pride, a desire for power, which destroys the Church’s unity. Of course, they put on a good show, they hide behind pious visages, and they enjoy adulation from a certain set of people.
If one needed to describe all-too-many konvertsy, the above says it all. Beware the “pure” and the “crusader”… all too often, they’ve allied themselves with and sold out to evil.

Through my wife, the editor of The Nation magazine, I’m close to… if not close, at least I see and hear them… leading figures of the Democratic Party. Moreover, the Democratic Party, particularly the Hillary Clinton wing of the Democratic Party, has already made it clear that it’s going to push this Trump-Russia story, at least until the Congressional elections in 2018. They think it’s a winning issue, and I think it’s clear, that this is Mrs Clinton’s hope to run again because she’ll say:
They’re going to push this at the grassroots, it’s already there at the town meetings, at Democratic grassroots, and they’re going to push it and push it at least until the elections, off-year elections, we call them, in 2018. Therefore, this is a given. No matter what facts emerge, the Democratic Party is going to push this as they are now every day.

Madame Shillary’s Upper Middle robots are shuffling down the Road to the Abyss, like lemmings. Don’t argue with them… it’s fruitless. They were the only group to profit from NAFTA (the rich always profit under a capitalist system)… they think that the Clintons are hunky-dory. They don’t know or care what ordinary folks think or want. The deaths of our sons mean nothing to them. It’s a Bizarro World that we live in, no?
