I’ve only one thing to say to my friends:
“I’ve got yer back…. unconditionally”.
That’s all and that’s enough, I’d say. I don’t care if we disagree on this or on that. That’s a mere piffle. Friendship involves love… an understanding that the Other is what they are and that you must love them as they are, with no ifs, ands, or buts. Respect flows naturally when you love the Other for what they are… love doesn’t flow from respect… respect flows from love. Love can only flow when you accept them for what they are and you accept yourself for what you are. It does lead to bumps n’ friction… but it’s real, and that’s always good.
Friendhip is an ontological reality independent of feeling or agreement. Do think on that.
