30 September 2017. Socialism and Orthodoxy Live Together in the Donbass… Why Isn’t the ROCOR GLAD About That?

Implicit in calling communists (and by inference, all leftists) “murderers” is an assumption that communism (or the Left in general) is opposed always and everywhere to Orthodoxy. Nothing is further from the truth. During the VOV, St Serafim Vyritsky prayed on a rock for several years for the victory of the Red Army over the fascists. G K Zhukov was an Orthodox believer. During the Nasty Nineties, who stood up for and defended the canonical churches in the Ukraine? THE KOMSOMOLTSY DID. They ran off the American-paid Uniate and schismo mobs; they protected the canonical bishops and clergy. Remember… at that time, Victor Potapov was a paid propagandist for the CIA-run “Radio Liberty”; he helped bring questionable elements into the ROCOR (like the CIA mole Pashkovsky in Odessa). The REAL Church and the KPU became very close, indeed… Comrade Simonenko received many honours from the Church.

Then, why did the ROCOR label all communists “murderers?” I’d say that we should watch some elements of the ROCOR… they might even try to split the Church if they can’t make the ROCOR a subsidiary of the CIA’s effort to undermine the Rodina. Do recall how nasty Potapov was to Patriarch Aleksei when the then-Patriarch was in Georgetown for an award. I’d say that he hasn’t changed his spots. This man and those like him bear watching. After all, HH is friends with Comrade Zyuganov and was friends with Commandante Fidel… not Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, or Steve Jobs.

One of these men is not like the other…

30 September 2017. We Do NOT Have an “Uncompromising” Church… Thank God!

Our Lord Christ is the GOOD SHEPHERD… not a jackbooted prison warder. Thank God… the Church is NOT “uncompromising”…

Many unformed recent converts natter on about how the Church is “uncompromising”, which is why they “converted” to Orthodoxy. Patriarch Kirill said the following about those who advocate “uncompromising faith”:

Never did the Lord say, “My teaching or death”. None of the Apostles said, “Orthodoxy or Death”. Because Orthodoxy is life eternal, it’s joy in the Holy Spirit, it’s the joy of life, but death is decay that came because of the Fall and the devil’s action. Now, we see, from time to time, false teachers who seduce people by calling to save Christianity, to save its purity, who repeat this dangerous, sinful, and self-contradictory slogan “Orthodoxy or death”. In the eyes of these people, you won’t find love; there burns a fire of demonic pride, a desire for power, which destroys the Church’s unity. Of course, they put on a good show, they hide behind pious visages, and they enjoy adulation from a certain set of people.

We don’t have a wrathful God. Our God offers all of us the “onion”… that’s Dostoyevsky for them not in the know. God is MERCIFUL… not vengeful. Only the spiritually shallow believe in a vengeful God. Read St Chrysostom’s Easter Homily and get your mind right. One wonders if these jabronies have really converted in their heart-of-hearts… the Church has always been willing to bend the letter of the law if it helped someone’s salvation. I ask, “If they don’t like accommodation, why did they convert to Orthodoxy, which has oikonomia as one of its bedrock beliefs and practises?” It does make one wonder, doesn’t it?

30 September 2017. This is What Capitalism “Creates”

To “punish” the unionised workers of Detroit, the capitalist oligarchs moved many factories abroad or to jackbooted neofascist Southern states (where Evangelicalism supports a vicious and cruel kleptocracy). They showed no sense of obligation to the people and cities who created their wealth… they simply cut them off and let them die. They then accused the decline on “socialism”… not their greed, cupidity, and self-centred sense of power. This is why Capitalism is evil, objectively so… it’s why all forms of accommodation with Big Capital are doomed to failure. It’s why all forms of “distributism” are nothing but capitulations to Capital and its all-consuming Greed (it simply throws a few more scraps to us workers… nothing more).

Socialism didn’t die with the USSR. Socialism had nothing to do with its collapse… nor did the USA play a role in that collapse. It came about due to Gorbachyov’s feckless and erratic personality. Russia learnt many lessons from that collapse. The USA didn’t… it’s allowing Big Capital to run amuck and destroy wide swaths of the USA. I’d note that such policies never work over the long haul… a spectre is haunting Mar-a-Lago…

30 September 2017. As Seen by Vitaly Podvitsky… Yet Another Invader in the Dustbin

The Anglo Americans are fond of shouting about how “powerful” and “exceptional” they are. I’d note that Russia has a history of defeating “stronger” states. 1242 was the defeat of the Teutonic Knights… 1612 was the defeat of the Poles in Moscow… 1709 was the defeat of King Karl of Sweden at Poltava… 1812 was the defeat of Napoleon and his disastrous retreat from Russia… 1945 was the defeat of the German fascists. Russia (and the USSR before it) always prepared for an American sneak attack. Firstly, this is how all Western attacks on Holy Rus started. Secondly, Russians are close students of history and they note that Anglo Americans are brazen and mendacious liars who never keep their word (as the Anglo history of dealing with Native Americans showed).

What held true in 1242 still holds true… “Those who march on Russia with sword in hand, by that sword shall they die”. I hope that Anglo hubris doesn’t lead to war… God alone knows if we’d survive.
