13 September 2015. Vote AGAINST the Republican Anti-Life Programme

00 Oppose the GOP Anti-Life programme 130915

______________________________

I wrote this 2½ years ago… it’s still as true as ever…

The so-called “March for Life” is coming up. The usual cast of suspects is making the usual Sturm und Drang concerning it. At one time, before I wised up, I supported the Pro-Life Movement. Then, I looked beneath the surface, and what I saw appalled and repelled me. The same pols who supported so-called “Pro-Life” measures were also for:

  • perpetual warfare in foreign parts
  • the gutting of the social safety net to fund corruption-riddled defence contracts
  • opposition to single-payer healthcare to benefit their corporate paymasters
  • derisory tax rates upon their wealthy contributors
  • the promiscuous use of the death penalty
  • the increasing role of the “security state”
  • using prison as a “solution” to the so-called “drug problem”
  • shitcanning all labour and environmental regulations in favour of libertarian “economic freedom”
  • the extending of personal and human rights to corporations

Whew… and that’s NOT exhaustive! In short, they OPPOSED what the late John Cardinal O’Connor rightfully called “the seamless garment”. There’s a reason why Timothy Cardinal Dolan didn’t come out in favour of Wet Willy in the late presidential election… Willy was AGAINST the “seamless garment”, and Dolan couldn’t support him without ripping up Catholic social teaching.

We have loud sorts amongst us. Follow the money… Potapov is (or was) a mid-level US government flunky (a propagandist targeting the Orthosphere, no less!)… Freddie M-G is (or was) an apparatchik at NPR… Dreher and Mattingly are rightwing stink-tankers… Webster is a stink-tanker and a chaplain in the US Army Reserve. When you add in that Lyonyo’s a member of the CFR (Anne Schmemann works in a CFR office that issues mendacious and self-serving apologias for American aggression abroad) and that Serge Schmemann and Sophia Kishkovsky are part of the New York Times Pravda-machine (the jewel in the crown of the American Corporate Media), well, what does that tell you? They’ve all sold out to the godless powers-that-be for a comfortable life and above-average incomes. You can follow Christianity or you can follow Sergianism. It’s interesting… the ones who loudly accused the MP hierarchy of “Sergianism” during the Sov era now stand exposed as Sergianist cheerleaders for Free Market buccaneering and bloodsucking. Fancy that… what they criticised, they now espouse. God DOES have a sense of justice, doesn’t He? Do you want to honour Christ, or shall you worship Mammon (the Almighty Dollar)?

Choose well… your eternal destiny does rest upon it…

Putin Pledges to Support Perinatal Medicine… Russia SUPPORTS State-Provided Healthcare… Russian Birth-Rate GROWING, not Dropping

00 mother bird and chick. 07.10.12

______________________________

Editor’s Note:

I was looking for a RECENT news item on Russian state support for healthcare. Here’s something from last June. VVP is a TRUE conservative… he supports state-provided healthcare services (as did Bismarck and Stolypin). The Republicans are phony-baloney rightwingers, for they oppose them in favour of anti-people profit-making schemes. REAL conservatism conserves our nation, our people, our land, our resources, our economy, and our towns… that means that the Republicans of today aren’t conservative, and haven’t been since the time of Slobberin’ Ronnie (Wet Willy was the biggest anti-conservative of them all). Using this standard, leftists are conservators, but righties are ravening destroyers and greedsters. There’s more than one devastated and imploded factory town to prove my point. Now, that’s a meaty bone to gnaw upon!

I also wish to prove that the CIA lies (bandied about by the Fox News/CNN duopoly) about the “falling Russian birth-rate” repeated by quisling propagandists like Victor Potapov are fairy tales. I post two articles to prove my point. Potapov is one of the main ideologists of the contemporary ROCOR (he’s certainly one of the leading lights in the archpriestly cabal in the First Families)… these articles prove him a self-serving talespinner and pro-Western running dog. Please, don’t judge ROCOR priests harshly… they have to repeat Potapov’s fibs (and his support of the barmy pretender Maria Vladimirovna) or they get all sorts of grief. That’s why people such as Andrew Phillips post some of the things that they do… they have to follow the party-line… we don’t know the real POV of most of these men as a result, so, be Christian and forgiving.

Oh… the drop in abortions wasn’t due to legal restrictions… it was due to generous state support for poor mothers. Sorry, Pro-Life Movement… you (and the Republican Party) are in the wrong…

At the XI World Congress of Perinatal Medicine, President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian government would support perinatal medicine, develop neonatal surgery, and build perinatal centres. On Saturday, Putin told the Congress, “Our duty is to fight for the life of each child. Last year, Russia switched over to birth record criteria recommended by the WHO”. The Congress convened in Moscow on 19-22 June and gathered over 2,000 participants from 91 countries. Putin stated, “We began investing considerable state funds into this very important branch of healthcare, and will keep doing so”. He said that protection of mothers and children was a priority of Russian state and social policy. Putin noted, “58 modern perinatal centres are actively at work throughout the country”. He said that Russia would build more such centres to make specialised medical help available to mothers and children living in remote regions. He said that a large federal perinatal centre would open in 2014 in Moscow.

On Wednesday, Minister of Labour and Social Protection (Mintrud) Maksim Topilin said that the birth rate in Russia grew 30 percent since 2007. In an interview with Ekho Moskvy, Topilin attributed the trend in part to the introduction of so-called “maternity capital” in 2007. He said, without giving exact figures, “During this period, the birth-rate increased by 30 percent. We attribute this growth to the introduction of maternity capital, amongst other things”. In a bid to encourage families to have more than one child, all women who gave birth to their second child after 1 January 2007 are eligible for a government-issued benefit of almost 409,000 roubles (12,456 USD. 13,246 CAD. 14,019 AUD. 9,055 Euros. 7,580 UK Pounds). The state doesn’t pay the benefit in cash, but parents can spend the money to improve their housing conditions, pay for their children’s education, or put the money towards a pension.

On Friday, Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said that the birth-rate in Russia grew by 5.6 percent year-on-year in 2012, saying, “In 2012, the birth-rate increased by 5.6 percent… from 12.6 to 13.3 births per 1,000 people”. She added that the number of abortions fell by 5.5 percent, or by 53,900, due to state measures to support pregnant women living in difficult circumstances. Skvortsova noted that advanced assisted reproductive technologies aided the births of about 3,000 babies.

Pro Life: Do You Want Socialist Reality or Republican Blathering?

00 Cuba. Pro-Life. 22.06.13

______________________________

Socialist Cuba has much less abortion (by percentage) and stricter laws than the USA does. To wit:

  • 1st Trimester: Abortion on demand
  • 2nd Trimester: Abortion only to save the mother’s life OR for grossly deformed/non-viable outside womb baby
  • 3rd Trimester: NO abortion except to save the mother’s life

EVERY social benefit needed exists to offer a woman the possibility to choose Life. Cuba works with Catholic nuns (as well as secular outfits) to provide adoption or good… well-regulated and monitored… orphanages. Cuba, the demonised little socialist realm to our south, puts Republicans TO SHAME with its REAL pro-Life stance! On top of all this, Russia’s had an uptick in its birth rate due to state supports to poor mothers and increased family benefits. Sensible government intervention WORKS… it isn’t what the Republicans say about it at all. THEY LIE. They lie because they want to put needed money for social benefits into their already-bloated boodle bags. Nasty grasping mofos, aren’t they?

Which party is it that slashes all social aid benefits that offer a woman a viable alternative to abortion? It’s NOT the Communist Party of Cuba! It’s none of the political parties in Russia! It’s the Republican Party with its big talk about “freedom”… you’re free to starve… you’re free to be groped by the TSA… you’re free to labour at a pittance for a crapitalist boss (who’ll tell you that you’ll get pie in the sky when you die if you give yer heart to Jayzuss and be a good little toadie). BIG DEAL… that’s no freedom… that’s SLAVERY. Their life stance is wicked and without merit.

HH is pals with Gennady Andreyevich… he’s NOT pals with the Russian analogues of John Boehner and Mitch McConnell. I wonder why…

Russia’s Birth Rate Up 5.6% in 2012

Editor’s Note:

Here’s where the rubber hits the tarmac:

The number of abortions fell by 5.5 percent, or by 53,900, due to state measures to support pregnant women living in difficult circumstances.

That is, if you march in a so-called “Pro-Life” march or support the so-called “Pro-Life” movement, you attack poor pregnant women and provide backhand support to abortion. The “Pro-Life” movement is nothing but a stalking horse for the worst portion of the rightwing… people who wish to turn the clock back by cutting away all government social spending. Vote LEFT… that’s how you support social justice in all its forms… a fair taxation system that makes the rich pay their fair share… an economy that protects social equity, not greedy “investors”… protections for ALL workers from arbitrary management action… no more aggressive warfare in foreign parts… and the dismantlement of the Bush police state.

The state isn’t an ogre… the Church teaches that it’s better than anarchy is… and do reflect that Paffhausen, Potapov, Dreher, et al are on the side of godless anarchy (libertarian license), not on the side of godly order (legitimate state authority). Many things are NOT what they appear at first glance… take a care…
