5 November 2016. GREETINGS FROM THE EVIL EMPIRE! Kids WILL Be Kids… And Parents… Parents

I saw this on a friend’s wall on vK. I did a Google Search by Image, and it seems that this little one is viral all over the RuNet. Those of us from colder climes do remember how our parents wrapped us up during the winter…

The text is a translation of what my friend posted on her wall along with the image.

8 January 2016. Translated Russian Demot… I Just Laid Down and Got Comfy!

I wrote this to young friends of mine:

Keep the jug at hand. You’ll never know such joy… you’ll never know such frustration. That’s parenthood. They WILL carry on after us, and it’s amazing how much we turn out like our folks (including looking just like them!).

Get it together… even when it seems that the shit has hit the fan in all possible directions. We survived it all… so shall you. Remember… the most important thing is to give your kids “good memories”… that’s the most pressing thing on your agenda. Expose them to all sorts of things… they won’t end by loving the same things that we do… but do your best to make them “lovers” and expectant of the wonder in God’s Good World. You’ll not regret it…

They Told Me That You’re My Mama

Taras Ryazantsev

The Cat from Obninsk became a world celebrity. Her portrait appeared in Russian and foreign media after she saved a baby that the mother abandoned at the entrance. The mother left the boy on a staircase in a box. The cat warmed it for several hours and licked the baby, trying to get people’s attention with loud meows.

Doctors say that Babies Born Now in the DNR are Healthier than They Were Prior to the War

its not just for the babas anymore

Today, Valentina Podolyaka, the ranking physician at Central City Clinical Hospital Nr 3 in Donetsk, told us that compared to last year, the number of birth defects amongst newborn infants is almost half that compared to last year, saying, “Despite the war, the number of pathologies in newborn infants decreased by almost 50 percent. Why that is, it’s hard to say. Perhaps, women take more care to protect themselves in wartime. It seems that they more closely monitor their health, even though sometimes it isn’t easy to do. Since the beginning of the year in Donetsk, there were 244 births, three of them twins. Of course, the birth rate fell by half compared to the same period last year. However, the good news is that most babies born are completely healthy. Now, our hospital is short on drugs; in particular, we don’t have antibiotics, saline dressings, or drugs for premature babies. However, the DNR Ministry of Health drew up a list of drugs in short supply, which we hope to receive in May from humanitarian convoys”.
