15 May 2018. Dr Jill Asks… “Who’s the Nuclear Outlaw?”

________________________

Israel screams about Iran’s nonexistent nuclear arsenal. Estimates say that Israel has 400 nuclear warheads. One of these things is not like the other. President Rouhani has no nukes at his disposal. Bibi does… fancy that. Who’s the liar? I think that the answer’s clear…

14 May 2018. The Internet Cassandras are Singing a Dirge For Russia… I’d Say, “Not So Fast”

________________________

The USA is a “rubber lion”, more gaseous bullshit than reality. Russians believe, “Better a bad peace than a good war”. Russia is lying low, watching the situation. That’s wise. The USA is flailing about, with Trump in serious domestic political trouble. His various “advisors” are actually running the show (we’d better hope that Mattis et al are victorious over Bolton, Pompeo, and Haspel). Israel is no better, as Netanyahu finds himself enmeshed in a sticky corruption scandal. Neither one of these two men are in actual control of events, they’re both fighting for political survival, which is always dangerous. They could choose to opt for a “quick little victory” to brighten up their prospects… but such doesn’t really happen in real life, does it? We need only look at the American quagmires in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the Israeli failure to put down Hizbullah in Lebanon to see how such thinking leads to utter catastrophe.

Don’t listen to internet asshats. The play isn’t over yet. Actually, the danger isn’t that Trump has a bad policy. Rather, he has no policy; he’s making it up as he goes along. Add in the fact that both Trump and Netanyahu are in the deep kimchi politically, it gives us a noxious cocktail fraught with danger. The USA or Israel (or both) could do something irretrievable and stupid (like using nukes), as neither one has any conventional leverage on the hotspots now percolating. When you combine that with the precarious domestic situations of Trump and Netanyahu, the potential for a gigantic tits-up is too great for comfort. The worst part is that the clueless have seized the controls and we’re all stuck on the ride until it’s over. There’s a gigantic shit sandwich on the table, and we’re all going to have to take a big bite from it before it’s over. May this chalice pass…

8 May 2018. Bibi Gets VIP Invite to V-Day Shindig at the Centre

________________________

All the antisemitic crud is crawling out from beneath their rocks. The news is that VVP invited Bibi to come to the V-Day festivities in Moscow. The so-called “Anglo-Zionist Empire” touted by “The Saker” doesn’t exist. It never has… it doesn’t… it won’t. At most, Israel allows the USA to use it as a strategic asset in the Middle East… the Mossad cooperates with the CIA, neither controls the other. There’s much less to it than what some think. Israel has its own foreign policy; it doesn’t control the American foreign policy in any way, shape, or form. Nor does the USA control Israel’s foreign policy. Yes… Israel invests a great deal in the American political process… indeed, much more than Russia does, in fact. Israel put much more effort and means into influencing the 2016 US Presidential election than Russia did (or was accused of doing). However, the fact that Israel spends much time and money on spinning the Middle East situation and suborning American politicians doesn’t mean that it controls what Washington does (it does mean that it did much more in the 2016 election to influence the outcome than Russia did… the US Congress isn’t investigating it… which means that Israel can buy off US pols, but that doesn’t mean that Israel controls the policy apparat).

Russia is one of the three major world powers… the USA, China, and Russia. India and Iran are major regional hegemons… not powers, at least, not yet. The USA’s claims of being the “sole hyperpower” were always hyperbole, but the Anglos believe their own bullshit, which is always dangerous. Israel is a minor regional player… Russia is a major world power. There’s no doubt that VVP summoned Bibi, not the other way round. If there’s any backstage player, it’s Chairman Xi (just as he was the major mover in the Korean peace initiative). Bibi’s trip to Moscow would be an opportunity for him to have discreet talks with the Chinese (who are the senior partner in the Sino-Russian alliance… they simply don’t humiliate people publicly like the Anglos do). There’s much more to this than one sees on the surface and the antisemitic lot is getting it all wrong. Bibi is a minor player being summoned by a major one, nothing more.

Trust me, Washington is noticing this… it can do nothing about it…

5 May 2018. Russiagate… Barminess Incarnated

________________________

We hear shouts of:

Russia interfered with our election! That’s immoral!

There’s a problem with that… those shouting such accusations offer no proof… none at all. However, it does enter a paradigm into the conversation:

Interference in the domestic affairs of a sovereign state is evil.

If such is so, then, the most guilty party isn’t Russia or China or Iran… it’s the USA! We have proof of the American interference in the recent Honduran election; we have proof that the USA launched aggression against Serbia, Afghanistan, Libya, and Iraq on specious grounds. Need I point up that Russia, Syria, China, and Iran haven’t launched any such aggression? It beggars the imagination. Can you believe that Anglo Americans truly believe that they’re “exceptional” and that the common rules of decency and fair play simply don’t apply to them? Hillary and Trump are but two sides of the same toxic neoliberal coin.

We live in dangerous times. The Anglos believe their propaganda bullshit. They truly think that they’re a “hyperpower” and that they’re the world’s judge, jury, and executioner. The present moment is especially dangerous, not because the USA and its allies Israel and the KSA are so strong, but because they’re so weak. That could lead to something spiralling out of control. An immature and thuggish crown prince, who can’t run a war against tiny Yemen successfully, leads the KSA (so how could he beat the local hegemon, Iran?)… Bibi Netanyahu faces a serious challenge as his political opponents are using his corruption against him (it’s so serious that it could topple him if he’s not careful)… Trump faces a certain disaster in the coming midterm elections (Paul Ryan tested the wind, found it adverse, and refused to run… what further proof do you need?). Far from being mighty and strong, these countries are in the deep kimchi in one way or another. That’s worrisome… any one of these players could do something stupid to take the pressure off them.

God do help us… the toddlers are in charge of the nursery and they’re playing with live hand grenades. Let this chalice pass, Lord…
