Today, Aleksandr Chumachenko, LNR Minister of Infrastructure, Transport, and Communications, stated that Luganskelektrotransa reopened eight trolleybus routes in Lugansk, saying, “Trolleybus routes in the Southern and Eastern sectors now operate normally”. He also said that it isn’t possible to run the trolleybus route to Yubileiny as combat operations had severely damaged the power substation there and the powerlines for the buses. He noted, “We face many problems in repairing our vehicle inventory, but in the short time that the Chairman of the Government gave us, we did what we could”. Eight months ago, trolleybuses in Lugansk stopped running because the fighting caused shortages of electricity.

Lugansk sure doesn’t look like a warzone to me. What this means is that Choco Loco and his American puppeteers are liars… let’s see… the Anglo American establishment claimed that Serbia was massacring Bosnians and Albanians, Afghanistan was a hotbed of terrorists, Iraq had WMDs, Libya was in the grip of a cruel dictator, Syria is the worst dictatorship in the Middle East, and the people in the LNR and DNR are dirty separatist criminals bent on dismembering the peaceful Ukraine. Such is the narrative one hears in Washington… they echo every lie of the “Ukrainian Catholics” and “Ukrainian Orthodox”. The LNR and DNR (and the rest of tsarist Novorossiya too) simply want to left alone… “Kick the enemy back to their homeland”. They want no part of Galician Uniate nationalist “Consciousness”… they want no part of Galician hillbilly pidgin (“Ukrainian”)… they want no part of the illegitimate extremist fascist putschist junta in Kiev installed by the Americans.

Lugansk wants normality… putting the trolleybuses back online is part of that normality. You can support socialist sanity or you can support American-sponsored fascist lunacy. I prefer to support the socialists of the LNR and DNR. They’re “People’s Republics”, indeed… note well that subsidised public transport is part of the”social contract” in the People’s Republics… the Uniate fascists beat the people with clubs (literally) as they jack up utilities rates and transit fares into the stratosphere (and cut wages and pensions as they do so… can you see why the US Republican Party loves them?). I know where I’d prefer to live if given the choice between the Republics or Banderstan! I’m NOT alone in thinking that way!

DNR Mintrans sez New Donetsk-Moscow Bus Route Would Go Via Rostov-on-Don

00 Donetsk bus station. DNR. 08.04.15

______________________________

Today, the DNR Ministry of Transport (Mintrans) reported that a new Donetsk-Moscow bus-route would stage via Rostov-on-Don {Donetsk to Rostov is 200 kilometres (125 miles) on Motorway M23 (3 hours); Rostov to Moscow is 1,080 kilometres (672 miles) on Motorway M4 (13 hours): editor}. The Mintrans stated, “On 6 April, we opened a new bus-route linking Donetsk and Moscow via Rostov-on-Don. The bus departs daily from the Kryty Rynok bus station at 07.00. The cost of a Donetsk-Rostov one-way is 250 Grivnya (570 Roubles. 66 Renminbi. 660 INR. 10.75 USD. 13.50 CAD. 14 AUD. 10 Euros. 7.25 UK Pounds), to go to Moscow from Donetsk costs 750 Grivnya (1,710 Roubles. 198 Renminbi. 1,980 INR. 32.25 USD. 40.50 CAD. 42 AUD. 30 Euros. 21.75 UK Pounds). Phone numbers to make reservations are on the official DNR Mintrans website”.

NB: The above forex rates are the official ones. The grivnya is actually only half the value of that on most internal markets. That is, the currency is rapidly losing its purchasing power, as the empty shop shelves, intermittent power outages, and chronic arrears in pay testify.

This means that the DNR has control over crossing points with the Russian Federation. As long as that is true, the junta can’t blockade them. As bad as the situation in the Republics is, the situation in Banderstan is even worse. It’s simply that the junta imposed censorship and the Western press plays along with them. THEY LIE. Should you believe them? Well… that’s up to YOU…

31 January 2014. Simply CARLESS for Three Weeks…

00 sick car cartoon. 31.01.14

______________________________

Three weeks ago, Nicky had a slight fender-bender going to work. Luckily for both of us, both of our jobs are on bus lines. We just got the “machine” back. The insurance covered the bills, but we didn’t have the money to rent a car in the interim. Trust me, life in contemporary America revolves around the private automobile, even in urban areas. Thank God, Albany has a comprehensive transport system, but it doesn’t go everywhere that one needs to go, nor is it set up for convenience (mostly, the routes bring in state workers to offices where there’s no parking available… however, one CAN get things done, quite unlike many areas in this country). I’m glad that I don’t live in Republican-misruled areas like Florida and Texas… the public transport sucks, and there are cities the size of Albany without any public transportation at all. Nasty, ain’t it? After all, if you don’t have the money, you’re not a human being… that’s why Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Ann Coulter (and all the rightie shitbirds in general) leave me cold… it’s clear that they spit on all those with moderate means. The country’s been on the wrong track since 1981… it’s time for some justice… in fact, it’s long overdue…

The authorities in Pskov Oblast declared a three-day period of mourning starting on 9 July. This was after a bus carrying Russian pilgrims crashed in the Ukraine on Saturday, killing at least fourteen and injuring 22 people. In an official statement, a Pskov Oblast spokesman said, “We’ll lower flags to half-mast and cancel all entertainment events and light TV programmes for 9-11 July”.

On Sunday, an official MChS spokesman said that two MChS aircraft brought 25 Russian pilgrims injured in a bus crash in the Ukraine on Saturday to Moscow. Fourteen people were killed after a bus carrying 43 pilgrims from Pskov Oblast to the Pochaev Lavra in the Ukraine swerved off the road, crashing into a ditch. The MChS spokesman said that one of the planes, an Il-76, brought 14 people, who suffered serious injuries. Twenty ambulances met the plane, which immediately took the injured to various Moscow hospitals. The other plane, a Yak-42, carried 11 people with less-severe injuries and the bodies of those killed in the crash. Three more passengers from the crashed bus remain in ICUs of Ukrainian hospitals, as doctors prohibited their transportation due to the risk to their lives. One more passenger also remains in the Ukraine, to aid in the investigation into the crash. According to an investigator’s preliminary reports, the accident took place as the driver had fallen asleep, eventually causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
