1 June 2018. Today is World Children’s Day… A Wry View From Vitaly Podvitsky

The International Day for Protection of Children is observed in many countries as Children’s Day on 1 June since 1950. It was established by the Women’s International Democratic Federation at its congress in Moscow on 4 November 1949. In other words, it’s a positive Soviet legacy.

6 April 2017. Today is the World Day of Animation… Greetings from the Evil Empire!

Some of the most iconic Sov-era multifilm characters are in the above image. In the centre, of course, is Kot Leopold (Leopold the Cat)… there’s also the Wolf and the Hare from Nu Pogodi (Just You Wait)… Krokodil Gena (Gena the Crocodile) and Cheburashka… the Bremen Town Musicians… just to name a few. The standard of Soviet animation was very high… perhaps, better on average than that found in the USA. There was no profit motive involved, therefore, the artistic standards came first, not commercial greed…

Now, what was Potapov saying about the evil empire? It looks like he misidentified it… yes… its capital is on the banks of the Potomac…

1 June 2016 Is International Children’s Day… A Wish From the Kids in Novorossiya

00 russia we draw peace novorossiya 010616

A peaceful and happy world for all our kids… not just American Anglo Upper Middles! End the wars… end the state-sponsored terrorism… end the funding of religious fanaticism and insurrection… then, our kids could sleep soundly at night. We can extend our hand in peace or draw back the club to strike. Do reflect on the fact that the American Establishment, both Republican and Democratic, chose the latter, and their drooling devotees (both HillyBillys and Trump Chumps) see nothing wrong in that. I call that evil.

Peace for ALL our children… that’s what I work and pray for…
