1 November 2013. Testimony for Defence in Storheim Case Follows Tattered Papist Playbook

Click here and here for stories on the Storheim defence. This is an old, old story… we heard the same things in all the Catholic sex abuse trials… the clergyman is innocent, the accusers are crazy, and no one believes them. Storheim’s lawyer is a putz if he thinks that he can make this tired old mantra fly. It didn’t work for the RCs and it won’t work for Storheim. Look, the Crown offered a plea… that means that they have damning evidence. Remember, two OCA priests broke the “black wall of silence” and testified against Storheim. This sorry-ass Mexican soap opera is gasping to a spavined conclusion. Yet, I don’t think that we’re going to see “scandal” from the outcome. It’s just one more outré OCA peccadillo… everyone’s just hoping for someone, somewhere, to bring out the humane killer to put this sick beast down.

Everyone’s TIRED of the whole sorry mess and wants it OVER. I don’t mean just the Storheim case… I mean the OCA experiment… it’s a failed prototype. We have a FAILED dysfuctional Church in the diaspora… both the OCA and the ROCOR (Jerome Shaw didn’t resign for nought). It’s time to admit our failure and go home. Our place at table IS waiting…

6 January 2011. A Whisper Heard… Apparently Storheim Offered Plea Bargain… Turned It Down According to Source

I got a concise (but meaty) whisper from an informed source:

I’ve heard that the Crown offered Seraphim plea agreement, but he’s refusing it. Things are getting interesting.

There it is… take it for what you will. If true, that means that the charges will NOT be dropped. If accurate, it means that Fathausen’s decided to “tough this one out”. That’s a DUMB AS DIRT move, institutionally. JP’s unpopular, has no grass-roots support (save amongst the ignorant konvertsy bloc), and is on probation as far as the Centre’s concerned (talking about the Centre, where IS Dickie Wood? What’s the BIG SECRET?). Institutionally, it would’ve been better to take the plea… Storheim would go from “suspended” to “defrocked”… the locum tenens would become bishop, and the matter would end after a short interval of brouhaha. The Church has survived bad bishops in the past, and will do so again in future (case in point being Nikon Mironov in Yekaterinburg). Storheim has decided to stake the existence of the OCA on a crap shoot in the court, and it looks like JP’s stupidly backing him. The OCA doesn’t have much cred to begin with after the escapades of Herman and Fathausen, and if Storheim were to go under, it’d shred the rest of it. By the way, the reason that El Gordo’s hanging tough is that if Storheim were to take the plea, he’d be history, too. There’s no good result for Fathausen personally in all of this. The Centre’s best bet is to get the other bishops to “Vitaly” JP… that is, have a coup similar to the one that gave Vitaly Ustinov le sabot. Otherwise, God alone knows what could happen after the Canadian court finds Storheim guilty… offering a plea means that the Crown has strong evidence. Need I mention how the public HATES paedophiles? People are NEVER boring, are they?

If this doesn’t prove to you that Fathausen’s unfit to command a toy boat in a bath-tub, let alone to be a “First Hierarch” of a generally-despised and errant so-called “Local Church”, you’re dense, and there’s nothing that I (or anyone else) can do to help you. I wonder when oca.org is going to post on this… don’t hold your breath… Lil’ Mizz Ginny holds you in contempt… but they all do, don’t they? You KNOW what to do…

29 July 2010. Sergei Yolkin’s World. Russians Fancy Monarchy

Russians Fancy Monarchy

Sergei Yolkin

The interest of foreign tourists in the British monarchy and its related attractions in the British tourism industry brings an annual income of 500 million UK Pounds (23.571 billion Roubles 780.884 million USD 597.61 million Euros), with Russian tourists loving the royal family of Great Britain more than any of their foreign “colleagues “according to a study conducted by the British tourist organisation VisitBritain. VisitBritain conducted a survey involving 25,000 people in 30 countries to reveal their attitude to the British Royal Family. Russians more often than any others in the poll agreed with the statement, “I’ve always wanted to visit Buckingham Palace”, whilst 83 percent of Russian tourist certainly would like to visit places connected with the royal family during a trip to the UK. At the same time, in France, this proportion was 50 percent, in the USA, 57 percent, and in China, 71 percent. The top five most visited UK (and London) sites associated with past and present of the monarchy are the Tower of London, which was a former royal residence and prison, and is now a repository of treasures and state symbols of the British Crown; the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, the complex includes the Queen’s House, the residence of the wives of James I and Charles I; the Victoria and Albert Museum, which is based on the collection of the Great Exhibition in 1851; St Paul’s Cathedral, which hosted the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, as well as other state ceremonies; and Westminster Abbey, the traditional place of royal weddings and funerals.
