The people still reject schismatic Ukrop “Orthodoxy” and Galician Uniatism. Just because the mainstream media isn’t reporting this story doesn’t mean that it isn’t true. Rusins aren’t boastful and loud liars like the Galician Uniate nationalists. They’re a quiet folk, but all the more resolute for that…

Over a Third of All Conscripts Called by the Voenkom in Odessa Oblast Evade the Draft and Refuse to Serve

Deputy Head of the Odessa Oblast Voenkom Valery Ishchenko told a Oblsoviet meeting that more than a third of those drafted in Odessa Oblast refused to serve in the junta forces. Allegedly, about 6,000 conscripted supposedly joined the armed forces, the so-called “National Guard”, and the border guard service during three mobilisation, whilst more than 2,500 evaded service. The Voenkom referred about 900 draft evasion cases to the proper authorities. Protest against mobilisation is growing in Odessa Oblast. Last Sunday, protesters hung a 15-metre-long banner, “It isn’t my War. Say Stop to Mobilisation” over the entrance to the marine station near the Potyomkin Stairs in Odessa.

In the past few days, protests with threats against the Voenkom and public burning of draft notices took place in many raions of Odessa Oblast. About 200 protesters blocked a road in Vinogradovka and prevented the Voenkom and cops from entering. Women at a rally in the raion centre of Tarutino demanded that the authorities stop the war, issuing a formal statement. Thousands participated in anti-war protests Rovnoye and Nadrechnoye. Residents in Limanskoye were ready to beat the local Voenkom members. After the incident, police provided guards armed with avtomats to accompany a local voenkomets, but they failed to prevent protesters from taking the draft notices from him and publicly burning them.

Most protests against the new mobilisation wave took place in southern areas populated by Bulgars and Moldovans. People in the Ukrainian-populated north also protested. On Monday, the Odessa website Dumskaya wrote that people are starting to block roads. It said that almost all men received notices to come to the Voenkom. Even bereaved relatives of Odessa resident Gennady Kushnaryov, who died in the Dom Profsoyuzov arson set by extremist ultranationalists in May last year, also received notices. Swindlers use the situation, posing as military officers, they call parents of draftees, saying their son was mobilised and would go to the war. They attempt to extort money to free the draftee. Odessa newspaper Trassa E-95 wrote, “Many parents are shocked and don’t call their sons to check the information, so, they give the money demanded to the con men”. Minoborony Ukrainy official Yuri Dobrov said that the General Staff and the Oblast Voenkom are aware of the situation.

The latest is the fourth and largest mobilisation in a year. The military plans to mobilise 4,000 people, including 600 reserve officers, in Odessa Oblast alone. It is comparable to the previous three mobilisation waves, when the junta allegedly conscripted about 5,000 men. The Odessa Oblast Voenkom said that 47 Odessa Oblast residents died fighting in Novorossiya and more than 2,000 seriously wounded troops were in a military hospital in Odessa Oblast.

The junta allegations are lies, purely and simply. Note that they said that 47 Odessa Oblast resident died in the war, but that over 2,000 wounded are in a Odessa Oblast hospital. That’s quite disproportionate, if it were true. I don’t believe that they pressed as many men into service as they claim that they have. It’s not conscription… it’s not a draft… it’s outright impressment, shanghaiing… it’s not organised, ergo, the forces are getting the sweepings… either it receives reluctant sorts who don’t want to fight at all or it enrolls Uniate, schismatic, and sectarian fanatics, who’re more trouble than they’re worth.

Most of the forces in the Crimea rallied to Russia… and it appears that most in the LNR and DNR did likewise. That is, the junta army lost a good proportion of its long-service personnel (including the commander of the Navy!) and all of its bases and depots in the Crimea, LNR, and DNR. On top of that, the Minoborony Ukrainy has had five heads in a year… its present head is a militarised cop, not a soldier at all. To say that the junta forces are in chaos is an understatement… supposedly, an American mission is in Kiev. Well… I don’t envy them their task… they’ll do what the mission in Georgia did… lie like hell, punch their tickets, and get out of Dodge when their rotation comes up. The American mission in the Ukraine will be as successful as “Vietnamisation” was or as successful as the current Afghan puppet forces are… but without American boots on the ground to stiffen them.

That is, the recruitment situation for the junta is a gigantic clusterfuck with no redeeming features whatsoever. The American mission will do what it must to not tarnish their careers over this coming disaster. However, the head of the mission will walk the plank as the sacrificial lamb for Congress and the DoD bureaucrats. Crank world that we live in, isn’t it?

Galicians Oppose Uniate Junta Conscription

This is what happened the last time the nationalists ran amuck in Galicia… the people there DON’T want a reprise of that today!

Galicians are rebelling against mobilisation… no one wants to die for the Uniate junta. Throughout the Ukraine, people see military commissions as bearers of bad tidings. Whilst the “conscripts” let them go, they make them destroy their “greetings”. Men from several towns in Volyn Oblast gathered in small groups. They stopped the cars of the military commission on the road before they reached their towns, seized the conscription lists, and destroyed every one. Only when they destroyed all the lists did the locals let the commissioners go. The Genprokuratura Ukrainy opened three criminal proceedings on charges of draft dodging. Interference with the work of a conscription commission carries a 2-to-5-year prison sentence. According to the latest information, they’ve arrested none of the principals in the actions to destroy the lists. At the same time, in Ivano-Frankovsk Oblast, women rallied against mobilisation. In particular, the women of Cheremkhov refused to release their men for the front. In Belovodsk, in the junta-occupied Lugansk Oblast, the local women forced the military commission to barricade itself behind barbed wire; they’d not let their sons and husbands “die for Kolomoisky and Poroshenko”. The junta military commissions are creating lists of “draft dodgers”, which they’ll supposedly send to the MVDU. However, Rada People’s Deputies want to enact a law allowing the affluent to “get out from under the war” by paying a few thousand dollars for an exemption. Other reports stated that the junta is ready to mobilise women.

The junta is truly in the deep kimchi. Galicia was always its “stronghold”… at least, that was the story, anyway. Don’t forget how the Sovs put down the UPA terrorists in the 50s… they crushed the fascist filth with the aid of the locals (who, understandably, didn’t view the murder of their near n’ dearest by the Nazi UPAniki with equanimity) and with former UPA sorts who cooperated with the authorities in return for leniency in sentencing and/or release.

You see, all the Uniate fanatics are at the front or they’ve enrolled in junta bullyboy formations. Most of the Uniate fanatics lie dead in Novorossiya. Slava Ukraina! The folks left back home are the sane sorts… they just want the war to leave them alone, thank you very much. That isn’t even going into the situation in Podkarpatskaya… where you have Uniate and Orthodox Rusins, Calvinist and RC Magyars, Calvinist and RC Saxon Germans, RC and Evangelical Lutheran Slovaks, Jews, Roma, Orthodox Romanians, and RC Poles… what a gemischlichkeit! There seems to be only two things that all of these groups agree upon:

• They all hate the Uniate junta in Kiev
• They all hate arrogant Galicians

Declaring martial law isn’t going to do a lick of good. If they had the stupidity to imprison or (worse yet) shoot anyone, why, the junta’s authority would go south so fast that your head would spin. In Galicia and Podkarpatskaya, Poland, Hungary, and Romania would swoop in to “protect” their “nationals” (they’ve given ‘em all passports, dontcha know!).

The American project in Eastern Europe is unravelling… and rather smartly, I might add. If Vova wants to maintain a “neutral” Ukraine (and he might), do NOT be surprised if he brings back V F Yanukovich to head it. He IS the legitimate President of the Ukraine, after all. That might prove to be the greatest surprise of them all… but do remember, VVP is a legitimatist (as all TRUE Conservatives are… NO American “conservative” makes the cut… they’re all Radical Rightists). Vova is a RED TORY… NOT a Liberal (do remember that the IMF “Austerity” in Greece was a DEEPLY Liberal project… and that American “Conservatism” is the most deeply Liberal ideology out there).

One last thing… do note who’s turned against the junta:

Can you picture it in your mind? A baba hitting one of the Voenkomtsy with her handbag and shouting, “No, you WON’T get my Vanchik! He won’t die in your war! I won’t let it!” The voenkomnik would cower, “No, NO, NO! I PROMISE! HE WON’T GO! Now, leave me alone!” Sanity does reign in the world… pass the jug and cheer!

21 October 2013. The More Things Change… It Was EVER Thus… Russian Woman Sees Her Fiancé Off to the Army

In Russia, there’s really no such thing as “volunteering” for the forces. The officers are “volunteers”, to be sure, and there are some “contract personnel”, but most entries to the forces come in via conscription, and there are two drafts of conscripts per year, one in the spring, the other in the autumn. This dates back to pre-technology times, when the army took in men after the spring planting, and after the autumn harvest. There’s relatively little “draft dodging“; most of that is found amongst those warped by Western ways of thought.

Compare this patriotism with the anti-patriotic filthiness shown by Western Neoliberals such as the US Republican Party, the British and Canadian Conservative Parties, and the Australian Liberal Party. When Marx said, “Capitalism has no homeland”, he wasn’t joking! It means that the righties put money, power, and comfort over the commonweal of community. Willy Romney refused to serve… Ted Nugent refused to serve… Richard Cheney refused to serve… Paul Ryan refused to serve… Rush Limbaugh refused to serve… Scott Walker refused to serve… you get the message. The Republicans (and their foriegn analogues) wrap themselves up in the flag, scream for constant warfare, yet, most of them refused to serve! It tells you much of their character (Orthodox people should note that most of the konvertsy fit that mould… disregard their “patriotism”, it’s shallow and self-serving).

You can choose to honour the patriotism of the Russian conscripts or you can suck up to the godless greed and self-serving cowardice of the Republican Party. I’ve chosen… so should you. Choose well…
