7 August 2016. 101 Years Since the “Attack of the Dead” at the Osovets Fortress

00 Anniversary of the Attack of the Dead. Russia. 070816

One of the things that the German found out during the two major wars of the 20th century was that Russian soldiers were tenacious, determined, stubborn, and had an utter contempt for death. The Anglo Americans seem to think that they can just push over Russians. At the “Attack of the Dead”, Russian soldiers attacked, spitting up blood from chemical weapon wounds as they did so. Russians haven’t changed one iota… the Anglos would get a sore surprise if they tried to attack the Rodina. The Americans haven’t faced a peer foe since Korea… when the Sovs and Chinese whipped their ass and won their objective (restoring the status quo ante). Remember, Anglos BELIEVE their rubbishy propaganda… God do spare us…

Today, In Krasnodar, we dedicated a monument to the Cossacks and Caucasian mountaineers who fought in and were heroes in the First World War. Exactly 102 years ago, on 28 July 1914, Russia entered the conflict on the side of the Entente. From the Kuban and the North Caucasus, over 100,000 Cossack and Caucasian volunteers went off to the war and about 30,000 of them died. Two local Kuban homeboy sculptors, Valery Pchelin and Alan Kornaev, fabricated the monument to the war-heroes. It depicts a Cossack and a Caucasian Muslim in traditional national costume, standing side by side, hand in hand. The sculpture symbolises the friendship and mutual support of all the peoples of the Caucasus, even in the face of deadly threats. Governor of Kuban Krai Veniamin Kondratyev, Head of Adygea Aslan Tkhakushinov, chairman of the Kuban Legislative Assembly Vladimir Beketov, Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia Aleksandr Ivanov, Ataman of the Kuban Cossack Host Nikolai Doluda, along with other public figures and Cossacks attended the ceremony. Governor Kondratyev said:

This monument is a symbol of our nation, multinational, but united. In our history, one can see many things, but never cowardice and betrayal. In the First World War, Cossacks and mountaineers fought together, slept under the same tents, and ate from the same pot. We must keep alive this memory of this and of their heroic deeds. We shouldn’t allow anyone to drive wedge between the peoples of the Caucasus.

In the First World War, Cossacks and Caucasian Muslims formed a special combat unit… the Caucasian Native Volunteer Mounted Division. Its officers and men were famous for their battlefield heroism. They earned over 30,000 orders and medals, including 4,000 Crosses of St George, one of the highest awards of the Russian Empire. Ataman Doluda said:

After the war, we unjustly forgot the podvigof the Cossacks and the mountaineers in the First World War. Today, we partly correct the situation. The Caucasian Mounted Division had the nickname the “Wild Division”… it terrified the enemy. At the same time, it was an example of the heroism of the Russian army. I’m sure that our children and grandchildren will come to this monument.

At the end of the ceremony, the Cossack honour guard paraded, and all participants laid flowers at the monument.

  • Podvig: Should NEVER be “Englished”… one of the most powerful words in the Russian language. There are literally no English equivalents strong enough. Podvig has overtones of “epic”, “heroic”, “bravery”, “self-sacrifice”, “victory”, “effort”, and “triumph”. It’s best to leave it as is, and admit that English lacks the necessary material to give meaning to this word.

Grand Prince Nikolai Nikolayevich, commander of the Russian forces in the early years of World War I

Aleksandr Kibovsky, Head of the Department of Culture of Moscow, reported that the work on the Transfiguration of Our Lord chapel in the Fraternal Military Cemetery in Moscow is almost complete, so the reburial of Grand Prince Nikolai Nikolayevich Romanov (the younger) can go forward. On Wednesday, Kibovsky stated at a meeting of a working group in the Gosduma that the chapel now has a working heat and power supply, and it has a functional alarm system. Kibovsky said, “Thus, the chapel is ready for the ceremony”. In turn, S Ye Naryshkin, the Chairman of the RF Gosduma, said that the Grand Prince’s reburial “would be a special event for Russia and for the Russian World. For four months, we did major work both in Russia and France, holding a series of international negotiations with French authorities at both the municipal and governmental levels”.

Grand Prince Nikolai Nikolayevich, the grandson of Tsar Nikolai I Pavlovich, was the supreme commander of the Russian forces at the beginning of World War I. He died in 1929 at age 72 in France. The remains of the prince and his wife are in the Church of the Archangel Michael in Cannes. Earlier, Russian Ambassador to France Aleksandr Orlov said that they’ve resolved the issue of the exhumations. The reburial of the remains of the Grand Duke and his wife will be in a military cemetery in Moscow. The Grand Prince’s family kept alive his last wish… he wanted to lie in his native land, buried next to his soldiers.

11 October 2014. The Mother-Motherland Calls! Four Generations of Courage…

This requires no commentary. Another invader has tried to put their hands around Holy Rus’ neck. It shall fail… as all invaders failed in the end. In this case, the Americans won’t back their neo-Nazi protegés in the Ukraine… there’s nothing left in the larder… they spent it all on bootless land wars in South Asia and in insane tax giveaways to the Affluent Effluent. It’s as it always has been… all those who march on Russia will be put to death. The Banderovtsy Uniate filth will not prevail…

RUSSIANS FORWARD!
