The Easter Feast is still rollin’ on! It’s gonna go on STRONG until Pentecost… 8 June. That is, we have all of May and the first week of June as a festive season. Feast ye BOUNTEOUSLY. We’re Christians… that’s what we do!

It’s a time of celebration and FUN… this is the central day for all real Christians. This is what our faith is all about. Don’t have a long face… this is a joyous time. That’s why so many people reject Christianity; it looks as though some believers were not only weaned on pickles, they’ve been their constant diet ever since. SMILE and pass the pierogies… we’re Christians… that’s what we do! … Yes, I WILL have seconds on the galumpkis, if you please.

In Jerusalem, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Holy Fire appeared yet again. Every year, delegations from Orthodox lands take the fire back to their homelands. Russia is no exception. HH will light his Easter Candle from the Holy Fire brought by plane from Jerusalem. It’s coming… ever the same and evergreen at once.

The above are two young acolytes at an OCA parish… let them remind you that tonight is the Feast of Feasts… the Day of All Days… the Very Centre of our Christian Faith. Easter is ALL that and MORE… don’t let any of the gnarly stuff interfere with that. It’ll still be there on Monday, sadly enough. However, first, there’s a matter of a FEAST…
