11 October 2018. Bart Goes For All or Nothing… the Centre Breaks Communion with the Phanar

Today, Bart lifted the anathemas on two schismatic Ukrainian clergy figures. He did this unilaterally, without consulting any of his brother First Hierarchs. As all will recall, one First Hierarch after another got up and said:

This is far too important for one hierarch to act unilaterally. Let’s sit down and talk about this like brothers.

None of the First Hierarchs issued any threats. None of the First Hierarchs insulted Bart personally. None of the First Hierarchs threatened him. The consensus that arose out of this was:

Before we do anything that may harm Church Unity, let’s sit down, and let’s talk about this man-to-man as equals.

In short, the consensus wasn’t unfavourable to Bart at all. Everyone wanted him to explain his reasons for his actions and to be upfront with his intentions. In the face of this, Bart went ahead and lifted the anathemas on two schismatics, presenting his brother First Hierarchs with a fait accompli. This mystifies me. Bart is usually more circumspect and cautious. He doesn’t do things rashly. He isn’t a nutter or a fly-by-night. Yet, when he saw a united front against his plans, he either panicked or his American minders panicked. I vote for the latter.

The Americans wanted to drive a wedge into the Orthosphere, leaving their minion Bart with a larger voice in world Orthodoxy. That didn’t happen. The American plan flew to pieces because they don’t understand the dynamics of Orthodoxy as opposed to Papism or Protestantism. In the former, the Pope of Rome can shut down all discussion with an ex-cathedra statement. In the latter, a leading personality can either quell debate or cause another schism in the Protestant ranks. Orthodoxy isn’t like either one of those. Orthodoxy is a feuding family. We often don’t get on with one another, but we recognise one another as a family, and we keep the channels open to the others. There’s no “Orthodox Pope”… no one man sits at the controls. The Ecumenical Patriarch is the First Amongst Equals. No Local Church can interfere in the affairs of another unilaterally.

The American project in the Ukraine is a bad replay of its actions in Vietnam. If you remember, the Republic of Vietnam was a sorry enterprise from the git-go. On the other hand, the leaders of the DRV were the leaders of the resistance to the Japanese and to the French. The RVN leaders were collaborators and the sons of collaborators. Hard-core patriotic Vietnamese were followers of Uncle Ho, and that was that. The USA tried to prop up its golem-state from 1954 to 1975, failing in the end. In fact, the American defeat in Vietnam was a catastrophic blow to the Anglo ruling class… it hasn’t truly recovered to this day, for the spectre of the Vietnam defeat haunts their every move (it’s why the USA won’t reintroduce conscription… the rulers remember how their conscripts almost mutinied).

The Americans are trying to prop up another fictive and illusory pseudo-state. They’re doing everything to try and obtain victory for their protégés. The coup was an attempt to seize the naval base at Sevastopol. That failed. Then, the USA sicced its Uniate attack dogs on the new Peoples Republics in the Donbass. That failed, too.  Then, the Anglos tried to insert its own forces into the fray… they used US special ops forces disguised as mercs (a common Langley ruse… it isn’t secret… Philip Agee let that out aeons ago) at the Donetsk Airport. The plan was to seize the airport and fly in junta troops stiffened with Polish units. Well, when the locals found out that Poles were with the Americans, it ignited a patriotic firestorm. It was 1612 all over again. The homeboys and the Cossacks got motivated. To make it short, the locals and the Cossacks kicked the shit out of the Americans and their Polish and Uniate stooges. In 2015, the Anglos tried again. They “trained” their Uniate thugs and threw them at Debaltsevo. That failed too… everything that the Anglos gave their Uniate minions fell into the hands of the patriot Donbass forces.

This means that the Americans are desperately looking for a way to hurt Russia. This goofy plan in the Ukraine appears to a desperate gambit to weaken Russia by splitting the Orthodox world. However, because they don’t understand the dynamics of Orthodox life, they badly miscalculated. Some sources say that the Americans have dirt on Bart… other sources say that there was chicanery with the money raised to rebuild St Nicholas Church at the WTC site. In normal Orthodox practise, Bart would’ve had a sitdown with his fellow First Hierarchs. Everyone would have a say. Even if Bart stormed off afterwards, he would’ve shown adherence to the rules. After all, that’s how he handled the Estonian affair and got away with it. By mooning his fellow hierarchs by acting unilaterally without any consideration of the accepted rules of Orthodox communication, Bart declared war.

I truly don’t know what’s going to happen. This is the evening of the first day. However, I’ll say this. Things are now in motion that were best left untouched. God alone knows what the end result will be. As I stated earlier, I fear that no good will come of it and that the main victim won’t be the Church in the Ukraine (it’ll stand tall and weather the crisis), it’ll be the Orthodox Church in America. Shall it last the storm to come? You’d need a Houdini Hat to know…

EP Exarch Served Fully-Vested With Uniates

Let’s keep this simple and short. One of Bart’s exarchs in the Ukraine served fully-vested with Uniates. This disgusting action means that Bart is winking at concelebration with papist schismatics. This is against all canons, usages, customs, and traditions of the Church. This by itself is grounds for breaking communion with the EP. However, Moscow is waiting for Bart to announce his false autocephaly. It’s giving him every chance to reconsider, repent, and desist from this action. However, the signs aren’t good. This may portend a schism as profound as the Schism of 1054. The USA is pushing this. How will this play out in the end? No one knows, least of all, me. I’ll say this though… it’ll be a replay of the obnovlentsy (Renovationists). Bart can proclaim a fictive autocephaly, and his minions can even seize the church buildings. That happened in the time of the obnovlentsy, too. The people and clergy simply worshipped outside the church buildings and had nothing to do with Renovationist nonsense. I confide that much the same will happen here. May God protect the real Orthodox Christians of the Ukraine and protect their real shepherd, Metropolitan Onufry Berezovsky of Kiev. The lights are going out, and the Anglo toddlers are mucking with things that they don’t understand in the least. I fear that no good will come of this at all.

26 April 2018. “Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the USA” Issues Delusionary Statement

This action may mean that the USA is losing in the Ukraine and is trying desperately to recover the situation. It seems ill-considered and hasty. Remember… Bart is a lapdog of Langley… look at the above image…

Read this. This means that Bart may grant “autocephaly” to the uncanonical UPTs-KP. Bart is a creature of the American special services… the Ecumenical Patriarchate has been such ever since the CIA toppled Patriarch Emmanuel Vaportzis in 1948, as Patriarch Emmanuel was a socialist and an opponent of the American-fomented “Cold War” (the USA replaced him with the reliable lickspittle American Archbishop Athenagoras Spyrou). The Yanks may be planning something… remember, the fascist collaborator Galician Uniates and “Orthodox” have been on the Langley dole since the end of World War II. The fascist spymaster Gehlen brought them into the American service when he flipped sides in 1945… they served the German fascists loyally, they’ve been loyal running dogs for the American capitalists… no difference, really, is there?

This is absolute delusionary rubbish. This isn’t only a danger to the Ukraine and its loyal Orthodox Christians (85 percent of whom remain true to the canonical UPTs-MP), it’s a danger to the unity of the Orthodox Church. Not only is this disastrous in Church terms, it means that in secular terms, the USA is upping the ante in its gambit to take over the Ukraine and use it as a springboard to threaten Russia. I’d point up that this is laying the groundwork for a repeat of 1612 and 1709… both Poland and Sweden wanted to use traitorous elements in Malorossiya to attack Russia. The Hapsburgs wanted to use this scenario against Russia in the 19th and 20th centuries. That died with the end of the Dual Monarchy in 1918… then, as now, the Uniates were the main collaborator with the Westerners (the so-called “Ukrainian Orthodox” are mostly drawn from the same Galician cohort). One of my interlocutors put it this way:

This is beyond bullshit. Tony Scharba and his fake church would be a joke if this didn’t have serious ramifications.

This is beyond delusion… it’s a sign that things aren’t getting any better. It’s why the mood in Moscow is “grim” (how my local contacts put it). The mood isn’t depressed, it isn’t scared, it isn’t bitter… my contacts say “grim”… that is, serious… a sense of foreboding… but not yet a crisis, not yet an actual conflict, yet, the possibility of untoward events is too high for comfort. This has ramifications far beyond its religious setting. It’s a deliberate provocation and an increase in American aggression on Russia. The times are “grim”… my Russian interlocutors are right. I have no idea how this is going to end… no one does. In religious terms, it could end with a schism in the Orthodox Church at large and it could lead to the rupture of the union between the ROCOR and the Mother Church (the appointment of the CIA lickspittle Webster to the J’ville seminary doesn’t give much hope, does it?). In secular terms, it means that the USA may cross the line, which would force Russia’s hand.

As I say, this is a volatile situation. Bart was reckless in doing this. It sets up such an unstable situation, both religious and secular, that no one can really chart a reliable course. May God have mercy on us.

Moscow Celebrated Despite Coldest Christmas Night “In 120 Years”

Bitterly cold temperatures didn’t stop worshipers from celebrating Epiphany and Orthodox Christmas. Christian believers across the globe joined in celebrations. Those who attended midnight liturgy at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour had to bundle up for the bitter cold as temperatures in the capital dropped to about -30 (-22 Fahrenheit) on Christmas night. In Moscow Oblast, temperatures dropped below -32 (-26 Fahrenheit). Extremely cold weather hit the whole country, with some regions such as Siberia and Yakutiya recording temperatures of -40 (-40 Fahrenheit). In Moscow, the MChS deployed around 500 emergency personnel to help worshipers. Authorities provided around 200 mobile food tents with hot meals during the Christmas celebrations due to the cold. RIA Novosti quoted a meteorologist from Fobos weather centre:

This Christmas night was the coldest in the last 120 years, although the absolute record was more than 130 years ago in 1881, it was -35 (-31 Fahrenheit).

The Orthodox Church follows the Julian Calendar, which is 13 days behind the Gregorian Calendar adopted by the Catholic Church in the 16th Century. This is why Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on 7 January, and not on 25 December. The Local Churches of Jerusalem, Serbia, Poland, Czechia/Slovakia, and Georgia, as well as the so-called Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (Uniates) and some Protestants, use the Julian calendar, so they also celebrate Christmas on 7 January.

On Friday, in Serbia, where temperatures dropped below -15 (+5 Fahrenheit), Orthodox Christians celebrated Christmas Eve in front of St Sava Cathedral in Belgrade with a traditional oak log fire.

In Turkey, Orthodox Christians also joined the celebrations despite sub-zero temperatures. On Friday, believers jumped into the Golden Horn strait in Istanbul in a traditional ceremony celebrating the Orthodox celebration of Epiphany, or the baptism of Christ. Traditionally, Orthodox Epiphany is on 19 January, according to Julian Calendar. However, some Orthodox Christians celebrate Epiphany on 6 January as they use the Catholic calendar for fixed feasts.

Orthodox believers in Bulgaria waded into the icy waters of the Tundzha River and danced the Hora, in a traditional male-only event to celebrate Epiphany. The men dressed in folk costumes and dived into the freezing waters to find a crucifix thrown in by the priest, before handing it to the youngest participant of the dance. The folk belief is that the person who retrieves it will be healthy all year.
