There’s a real difference between a longing for our real tradition and the efforts of ungrounded converts to “recapture the Tradition”. The two aren’t the same at all. One is a longing for what one once had, but lost due to “reformers”. The other is a prideful attempt to erect what one never had. There’s a world of difference between the two things. The first is a real effort to grasp the living and life-giving Tradition found in the Russian liturgy. The other is an attempt by untutored former Prods to erect a prideful and stultifying liturgical superstructure over their Evangelical Anti-Christian Weltanschauung. Any grounded Orthodox Christian can tell the difference.

May God see and judge…

4 October 2016. If You Receive a Phone Call Claiming to Be From the IRS… It’s a Phony Baloney

I received a bogus “IRS” call today. It demanded my “immediate attention” and it came from Washington DC (or a repeater there). NEVER REPLY TO SUCH FLIMFLAMMERY! It’s just the latest iteration of the Nigerian Scam. No government agency acts in such a manner. IT’S FAKE… IT’S PHONY BALONEY… IT’S A SCAM AND FRAUD! Always be leery of anyone who phones you from out of the blue… especially, those who purport to be official and who DEMAND personal information. Have a care… we live in a feral unregulated world, where Libertarians, Dems, and Repugs all slobber their admiration of the rich and their money. Pecunia non olet… “money doesn’t stink”… that’s their motto. To think that yahoos like Rod Dreher cheer on deregulation… they call themselves “conservatives” to boot (a true conservative would never back deregulation, as a bedrock of true conservatism is that mankind is fallen and in need of regulation). It does take all kinds, doesn’t it?

OCA Synod… here’s another example of the Convertadox Conventicle spitting on your order. I think that you should find out who posted this… then, warn all concerned (all posters, Grigorenko, Dominick, and Ryan Hunter, amongst others) that you’d ban them from the Chalice if they continued to defy you. These disobedient little pricks are beyond words… yet, as I stated before, they have the consummate gall to lecture all of us on OBEDIENCE! Here is what one of the Cabinet wrote me:

Not sure who runs this site, but the OCA SOBs needs to contact them and tell them to pull it down. There’s more to sainthood than incorruption of body, and as yet there aren’t too many, if any at all, reports of miracles attributed to his prayers. If Archbishop Dimitri is a saint, the Church will recognise that in due time, but at the moment, too many people are jumping the gun, either out of personal love for him or out of the desire to have another American saint (as if that proves something or another about the state of Orthodoxy in America).
