Three weeks ago, Nicky had a slight fender-bender going to work. Luckily for both of us, both of our jobs are on bus lines. We just got the “machine” back. The insurance covered the bills, but we didn’t have the money to rent a car in the interim. Trust me, life in contemporary America revolves around the private automobile, even in urban areas. Thank God, Albany has a comprehensive transport system, but it doesn’t go everywhere that one needs to go, nor is it set up for convenience (mostly, the routes bring in state workers to offices where there’s no parking available… however, one CAN get things done, quite unlike many areas in this country). I’m glad that I don’t live in Republican-misruled areas like Florida and Texas… the public transport sucks, and there are cities the size of Albany without any public transportation at all. Nasty, ain’t it? After all, if you don’t have the money, you’re not a human being… that’s why Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Ann Coulter (and all the rightie shitbirds in general) leave me cold… it’s clear that they spit on all those with moderate means. The country’s been on the wrong track since 1981… it’s time for some justice… in fact, it’s long overdue…

There’s this gross wisdom among Teapublicans that they’re always just one candidate away from winning the big one, which is a belief hardwired by their inert ideological purity [it’s interesting to note how these opponents of “political correctness” embody the early-20th-century meaning of the term. Mirabile dictu!: editor]. Their imagined saviour is embodied in the mindset of conservative consciousness… Limbaugh, Beck, and Hannity… a flag-bearing trio of virtuous rightwing demagoguery.
There’s an interesting fact about these three great paladins of “patriotism”… all three REFUSED TO SERVE IN THE FORCES, but they beat the war-drums constantly. It’s interesting to note how TPers lionise such cowards. After all, they’re always telling us how patriotic and self-sacrificial they are… it’s another lovely story murdered by ugly reality.
However, don’t argue with TPers… it won’t do any earthly (or heavenly) good, it won’t help them to see to the truth, and (above all) they enjoy fighting! That’s why I stopped corresponding with Whiteford… it wasn’t doing either of us any good; all that he was doing was browbeating me to agree to his loony-tunes rightie nonsense. Step up to that booth, mark your ballot, and put in the box! That’s the only language these creepo supremos understand. Jim DeMint saw the meaning in the tealeaves and left the Senate. What does he know that we don’t?

Remember how Willy Romney was going to win in 2012? All the rightwing pundits said so… Fox News said so… the rightwing blogosphere said so. Barack Obama handed Romney a resounding defeat. This year… the GOP is going to win the Senate… all the rightwing pundits say so… Fox News says so… the rightwing blogosphere says so… in fact, their verbiage appears to be a rehash and regurgitation of what they wrote two years ago. Too bad Andrew Breitbart kicked the bucket… at least, he was interesting, and he never repeated himself… he wasn’t a Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, or Glenn Beck. He’ll be missed. There’s such a thing as a worthy foe… he was that. He gave no quarter, but he asked for none, either. That’s not seen much these days. That’s why I don’t sweat Ukie and konvertsy trolls… they say what they say… my stats haven’t gone down. As I say, I loved Breitbart’s attitude… he was a HAPPY WARRIOR. His positions were shitty and his methods slimy, but he wasn’t a crybaby, and that goes far in my book. I think that there’s gonna be some surprises on Election Day…
