At Tama Cemetery in the southwestern Tokyo suburbs, Russian diplomats held a memorial ceremony at the grave of legendary Soviet spy Richard Sorge on the 70th anniversary of his execution in Sugamo Prison on 7 November 1944. Flowers laid Russian Ambassador to Japan Yevgeny Afanasyev and senior diplomats of the Embassy, as well as students of the school at the Russian diplomatic mission named after the famous spy, laid flowers on his grave. There were symposia and meetings on the Sorge Affair in Japan this month, as there’s still much interest in it amongst journalists and the scientific community. In particular, in particular, a major conference took place at the University of Aichi in Nagoya. On 8 November, at Tokyo’s Meiji University, with the support of the Centre for Studies of Japanese-Russian History, will host an International Symposium, which shall consider the activities of Sorge in China and Japan.

As an agent of Soviet military intelligence, German Communist Richard Sorge arrived in Japan in 1933 and created a highly effective network of agents. He enjoyed the full confidence of the Nazi Embassy in Tokyo, and he managed to receive secret information from the highest circles of the Japanese leadership. Under the code names “Ramsay” and “Inson”, he sent out one of the first pieces of intel on the approximate time of the planned attack of Nazi Germany on the USSR. Of even greater value was his intel about the fact that Japan wasn’t going to enter the war against the USSR in 1941. Historians say that he made a considerable contribution to Moscow’s victory. Japanese counterintel arrested Sorge on 18 October 1941. After interrogation, a court sentenced him to death by hanging. On 7 November 1944, in Sugamo Prison, the authorities hanged Sorge and his closest associate, Japanese journalist Ozaki Hotsumi. Another active agent in his group, Miyagi Yotoku, died in prison in 1943. Another member, journalist Branko Vukelić, received a life sentence, but died shortly afterwards, and US forces released radioman Max Clausen from prison after the war. In 1964, the USSR posthumously made Richard Sorge a Hero of the Soviet Union. Not only has there been a thorough investigation of Sorge’s life and times in Japan, just this year a very successful feature film about Sorge appeared in Japanese cinemas.

Contemporary Russians do NOT denigrate the Soviet past… it’s one reason the godless Republican filth hate them so much. I’ll simply say this… the Church serves Pannikhida for the VOV war dead of the Red Army and it serves Pannikhida on the graves of the Soviet war dead in Spain. You can stand with the REAL Church or you can stand the phonies who suck up to the Republican Party. Choose wisely…

Uncle Iggy’s Army

00 Igor Strelkov 01. 14.06.14

______________________________

They criticise Donetsk People’s Republic Defence Minister I I Strelkov… and that criticism is quite vehement. Pro-junta Ukrainians curse him, calling him “Putin’s damned KGB-man”, “GRU spook”, “murderer”, and “terrorist”. In Moscow, highbrow critics shake their heads, regretting that a “romantic” and “re-enactor” leads the Donbass opolchenie. Firstly, you should attend to the first and second accusations. They’re outright lies. They lie about Strelkov having been in the KGB or the GRU, not to even mention him being a “murderer” and “terrorist”. Igor never served in the KGB and GRU… he’s a retired counterintelligence officer. Sorry, you cunning and wise Moscow know-alls, Strelkov wasn’t a gaybist*. Apparently, they thought that he was a paunchy cussing red-faced “empty suit” in a general’s uniform with fancy braid. Somehow, they don’t realise that years of stern service and participation in at least four recent armed conflicts are behind the polite “romantic/re-enactor” façade. However, one should really pay attention to that!

*gaybist: KGB man, from “GB” (State Security, in Russian)

______________________________

As a result, we see an amazing situation… Colonel Strelkov and several companies of volunteers opposed the whole Ukrainian Army for over a month. Not even the “exploits” of foreign military advisers and foreign mercenaries from private military companies could inspire [the government forces]. This podvig is equal to the defence of the Brest Fortress, but nobody cares! There are hundreds of films about the Brest Fortress, with more to come. Pitiful snotty fools… the audience weeps over those ancient events, about which they plainly know nothing. Today, there are different history books in the schools, and some of them don’t have a single word about the heroic defenders of the fortress. History repeats itself. In the USSR, the curriculum edited out the major victories of the tsarist army, today, they gloss over the podvig of the Soviet people, saying instead that it was due to the Russian soldier.

We haven’t yet started to speak of Slavyansk. We haven’t forgotten how those gents Pozner and Svanidze shed crocodile tears about the Soviet casualties in Afghanistan, not noticing obvious victories, outstanding exemplars of military science and military operations. We haven’t forgotten how, literally, the redhead who read the news on Ekho Moskvy was in almost orgasmic delight reporting the success of the “gallant Mujahedeen” in the North Caucasus. This “Kahal*” claimed that the Russian soldiers were their own worst enemies! “Well, guys, you don’t fight, you only guzzle vodka!” They did it so sincerely and convincingly. So much so that many still believe it, so, they follow rules imposed from abroad. Some journalists did stories about “Russian mercenaries” in Syria; even in far-off Syria, these “mercenaries” managed to “guzzle vodka”. Due to their preconceptions, these journalists didn’t believe that the “mercenaries” waged a successful campaign in Syria; instead, they believed the notorious thugs and bandits that the international community politely refers to somehow as “the opposition”. That is, according to world media… even some Russians… rude drunken mercenaries from Russia fight the freedom-loving democratic opposition.

*Kahal: literally, a Jewish council in 17/18th century Poland and in the Russian Empire until 1893; figuratively, a disorderly meeting, a fractious collection of people… the second meaning is what applies here.

It turned out that these “drunken mercenaries” protected Slavyansk brilliantly, but the “advanced” part of the world, and even some in the Russian media, are uncomfortable with it and somehow ashamed to talk about it. There’s no shortage of stories about these people! For these folks, Uncle Iggy’s Army embarrasses the global political system. In their view, it’s an awkward and strange armed formation, which lives according to the military ethos of the USSR in the VOV. It severely punishes its own looters, but it provides medical aid to wounded enemies and when it disarms hostile soldiers, it releases them “in peace” and says, “Go, and sin no more!”

Our beautiful redhead at Ekho Moskvy and the “masters of Russian journalism” are stubbornly silent about the failures of the Ukrainian military, about the downed planes and helicopters, about the burnt armoured vehicles, and about those junta soldiers who voluntarily rally to the opolchenie. They suffer physically; they can’t believe that some “Orthodox Chekist*” can “beat up” army units trained by “valiant” instructors from Western PMCs. Oh, the PMC staff, as they say, fussed and fumed. Now, don’t accuse me of “super-patriotism”. I’m hip to things, I know better than most that the Donbass opolchenie doesn’t always do the right thing. They have trouble with their old “Grandmas”, let alone the enemy army. They have losses; they know that all of them could die there. Indeed, there may be traitors amongst them.

*Chekist: Security officer, from “Cheka”, the first Soviet security organ… figuratively, a term of contempt

The always level-headed Colonel Strelkov and his faithful comrades see light at the end of the tunnel of their “Mission Impossible”. They’re nothing like the stupid “soldiers of fortune” with their tattered Playboy magazines in their backpacks, who greedily flash the icon of the “Almighty Dollar”. They don’t pose with rubber dolls with bottles in hand; they don’t throw dollars at hot hookers in bars. Calmly, without hysterical hatred, they face their enemies, putting their trust in God; therefore, they unblinkingly look into the eyes of death. Uncle Iggy’s Army draws inspiration from such warriors as Generalissimo A V Suvorov and Admiral St Fyodor Ushakov, who weren’t like A E Serdyukov at all. They imitate the legendary defenders of the Osovets Fortress… what you didn’t learn in school nor see in movies like The 9th Company or the TV series Spetsnaz.

Uncle Iggy’s Army steadfastly and efficiently carries out its mission. Even if the world media and history textbooks ignore this “Siege of Azov” of our day, we’re sure that common folk will appreciate and long remember their podvig. The people implicitly recognise the truth; they won’t forget their heroes, they’ll do their best to support them. They’d do this without support from the “leading elements”, contrary to the machinations of those who want a World Government, which plans to destroy all that’s holy and glorious. They want to destroy everything that’s precious to Colonel Strelkov and to everyone fighting in “Uncle Iggy’s Loyal Army”.

Junta Pigs Rebuffed in Kramatorsk, It Ain’t Over Yet… Uniate Terrorist Yarosh on the Scene in Slavyansk… Donetsk People’s Republic Orders Mobilisation… Right Sector Filth Shoot Unarmed Civilians

00 slavyansk. patriot opolchenie 03. 13.04.14

______________________________

RIA-Novosti reported that the battle for Kramatorsk is over, with one opolchenie member dead and nine others wounded. According to sources, the junta assault failed to enter the city. Fighting broke out in the Yasnogorka area on Friday evening. A junta armoured column blocked by civilians the day before decided to attempt a breakthrough. A local said, “They were afraid that we’d take away their weapons or armoured vehicles”. We have no information on junta losses as of yet. During the battle in Kramatorsk, civil alert sirens wailed, which didn’t happen in the morning, during the fight in Slavyansk, 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from Kramatorsk. Eyewitnesses also reported that junta forces captured a opolchenie strongpoint between Slavyansk and Kramatorsk during the day. Reports indicate that no public transport between Slavyansk and Kramatorsk and within Kramatorsk will run. No buses will run for workers in local factories, even though they’re on a 24/7 production cycle. People finishing the night shift will have to go home by foot.

******

The Odessa Gorsoviet declared three days of public mourning for Friday’s tragic events, which took 41 lives, stating on its official website, “We declare that 3-5 May are days of mourning”. According to updated information, hospitals treated 123 people injured in clashes, admitting 40 to hospital, including 17 in critical condition. Most of the dead died from smoke inhalation, whilst others perished trying to escape by jumping out of windows. All Ukrainian and Odessa flags on state buildings will be at half-mast with black ribbons. The criminal blaze in Odessa was part of spreading violence across the country during the bloodiest day since the Western-backed putschist junta took power.

Editor:

Popular rumour has it that the Right Sector was behind the arson. In this case, it doesn’t matter what the facts are… it matters what people believe. That sounds cynical, but that’s what happens in such circumstances. People believe that the Right Sector did it… so, at the earliest opportunity, they’re going to take it out on all Uniates. Is it fair? NO. Is it right? NO. Is it going to happen? YES. All Uniates and schismatics should flee Novorossiya and Malorossiya as quickly as possible, or, they’re going to face ethnic cleansing that’ll make the Yugoslav Civil War look like a children’s tea party (rank n’ file schismatics could buy their lives by confessing the canonical Church, but Uniates won’t have that option). Their lives are in danger, and no one has the power to stop events… NO ONE, especially, not the USA.

Make no mistake on it, that’d be a direct result of the American-fomented coup, but the Amerikantsy won’t take responsibility or learn from it. The neocons/humanitarian interventionists are satanic baby-killers, and no Christian should coöperate with them. Note well that the fascists torched the trades-union building… the trades-unionists aren’t only pro-Russian, they’re lefties, and the junta are anti-leftist fascists (which is why the US Republican Party slobbers over them).

On Friday morning, the junta launched a failed military operation on Slavyansk involving Right Sector terrorists and other fascist thugs. Arseny Avakov, the so-called MVDU boss, made wild assertions claiming that “Russian spetsnaz” shot down the junta helos destroyed in the failed assault. A opolchenie spokesman said, “This doesn’t correspond to reality. Likewise, Avakov’s statements that the operation isn’t against the Ukrainian people, but against subversive groups of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Russian Federation also aren’t consistent with reality. There aren’t any covert groups in the city, but the residents of Slavyansk, its civilian population, have come under missile strikes. Any road, the opolchenie doesn’t want to share its victory with anybody else”.

******

On Saturday, Nikolai Solntsev, the commissar of the Eastern Front movement, told RIA-Novosti, “Donetsk is mobilising today, we’ve declared full mobilisation. Our security services are ready for full-scale military action. People are currently gathering at the square. We’ll mobilise our people today in a united people’s resistance movement, so that every citizen of the city can struggle for freedom”.

******

On Saturday, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitri Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin extended his profound condolences and sympathy for those killed and injured in the bloody tragedy in Odessa, telling reporters, “Regrettably, we can’t express condolences to official Kiev as there’s no official Kiev as such. [President Putin] has serious concerns on how the situation is evolving and how some countries in the global community interpret it. He feels the deepest indignation at the actions of the Kiev authorities, which one can see as criminal. [President Putin] is following what’s happening [in the southeastern Ukraine] closely, he’s analysing the situation, to consider Russia’s further actions. Information about Ukrainian developments reaches him round-the-clock. All intelligence and related agencies report to him”. Peskov wouldn’t answer questions about possible Russian military aid to anti-junta patriot forces, “I can’t answer this question, of course” said Peskov,

******

Dmitri Yarosh, leader of the ultranationalist movement Right Sector and candidate for Ukrainian President, went to Slavyansk to whip up the morale of his terrorist supporters. On Friday, Yarosh was to appear on TV, to appear on ShusterLive, however, he didn’t take part, as he took off to Slavyansk to take part in the “final stage” of the military operation. Despite bombastic claims from the junta and Yarosh that they’d fully mop-up Slavyansk today, everything is relatively quiet in the city so far. It’s safe to say that the junta forces haven’t engaged in active offensive actions. In the morning, people in Slavyansk heard shots, but, apparently, they came from the outskirts. As for the centre of Slavyansk, the patriot opolchenie is still in complete control of the situation.

Editor:

It’s clear that the Uniates and schismatics are going for an “all or nothing” victory. If they win, they’d win big… if they lose, they’d have to flee to the Lvovshchina (at best) or they’d be dead (I’m not gloating… I’m just predictin’). The latter is FAR more probable than the former is.

The Donbass People’s Opolchenie HQ told Interfax that fighting is underway between patriot opolchenie and junta forces in Kramatorsk, and that they’re checking reports about deaths. The source said, “The security operation in Kramatorsk has resumed and junta snipers are in multi-storey buildings and fire from there. In addition, there’s fighting on the streets. The clashes have killed some people, mainly civilians, who happened to be near the scene”.

******

A opolchenie spokesman, identified as “Vladislav”, told journalists that intense clashes are taking place near Slavyansk, saying, “Currently, Right Sector terrorists and ‘National Guard’ elements are carrying out attacks near Druzhkovka. Locals there are virtually unarmed, and we have no strongpoints there. Besides this, fighting is taking place somewhere near Kramatorsk. Junta forces are massing armoured vehicles around Slavyansk, and Right Sector terrorists are trying to infiltrate the city disguised as local residents”.

Editor:

Its happening as I feared… only untrained, undisciplined, unruly, and unsoldierly Right Sector terrorists and “National guard” Uniate/schismatic thugs-in-uniform remain as reliable “forces” available to the junta. Note well that they turned first on unarmed civilians and fired on them! This tells you about the character of Uniates and schismatics, doesn’t it? The old Cossacks were right… show them no mercy, as they’re turncoats.

Druzhkovka is to the south of Kramatorsk, on the main road to Slavyansk (which is 30 klicks (@20 miles) away). Any forces sent here would weaken any assault on Slavyansk. This is shades of the Battle of Warsaw when Stalin and Budyonny diverted forces to Lvov, which was away from the main battle. Of course, you can see why the Uniate thugs decided to attack Druzhkovka… it’s undefended, which gives the swaggering terrorists full reign. However, if the junta forces ran into a bottleneck in Slavyansk, the forces in the south couldn’t move directly to their support, they’d have to go off-road, which would hamper their logistics support, cut their speed, and increase chances of a patriot ambush (the road to Slavyansk goes through Kramatorsk, still in patriot hands). Besides which, undisciplined and untrained forces, such as those available to the junta, take time to assemble and move out (and are harder to control if one has to leave road march order and go cross-country). In short, this was a stupid move.

Note well that the USA is SUPPORTING the junta pigs… John Bolton… shame on you! You support such shit (your National Review piece makes that clear)… you revealed your true character!

BMD

******

Former Ukrainian presidential candidate and active federalisation supporter Oleg Tsaryov stated, “Instead of disbanding and disarming illegally armed groups, the self-proclaimed government in Kiev legalised their actions, first by creating a ‘National Guard’, then, special units in eastern regions, and other territorial military units. Apparently, their buildup of military forces, aimed to suppress protest in the eastern Ukraine, runs counter to the communiqué signed by Russia, the USA, the EU, and the Ukraine. It’s still possible to end the civil war in the Ukraine, but only joint efforts by Ukrainians and the international mediators who signed the Geneva agreement on 17 April can end the bloodshed”.

******

People’s Governor of Lugansk Oblast Valery Bolotov issued an order, “I declare a state of emergency in Lugansk Oblast. I announce a full mobilisation of the male population and impose a curfew from 23.00 to 06.00”. Earlier, a senior MVDU officer told RIA-Novosti earlier that Anatoly Naumenko, the police commander in Lugansk, told his subordinates to evacuate their families from the city, as there’d be an assault with armoured vehicles and artillery. Meanwhile, patriot sources in Lugansk said, “We don’t have information about any impending assault, but we’re getting ready for any eventuality”.

Editor:

Most of the Ukrainian army stores in the east are in patriot areas… the junta must capture them or run out of munitions, spares, provisions (remember how they sold the American-provided MREs on the internet?), and POL, which would grind its repression operation to a halt. The junta has to win QUICKLY… or face a battle of attrition that it can’t win (it’s only real supporters are the Uniates and schismatics, the first being 8 percent of the population, the second comprising 12 percent). Besides that, the munitions works are in patriot areas, which puts further constraints on the junta. I don’t think that they can do it…

BMD

******

It’s amazing… Euromaidan supporters don’t feel the slightest sympathy for people who died in Odessa and their families. Their biting and even gleeful comments flood the internet. One of the Ukrainian TV channels aired a popular political talk-show right at the time when people were dying in the fire. Its guests expressed enthusiasm about the radicals’ actions and called for providing them with weapons. The fire that killed people in Odessa wasn’t an accident; it was arson. Rossiya-24 TV reported that the internet has a video showing young girls bottling Molotov cocktails right in the street. The girls weren’t embarrassed at all; they even posed in front of the camera. They wore headscarves in the colours of the Ukrainian national flag. Their movements were exact and correct. The girls seemed to be confident of carrying out a high patriotic mission. Later, terrorists cast those bottles at the Trades-Union House, causing the death of over 40 people in a fire. Another 27 are in grave condition. The total number of casualties is over 200.

Immediately after the fire began, and when it became clear that it’d claim many victims, the junta claimed that Russia was behind it all. Social networks posted comments saying that the people who died in the fire weren’t local residents, but Russian extremists, and it was their own fault, good riddance. These monsters called those burned alive “May Day shish-kebabs”. Facebook users overflow with emotions. People feel frightened and helpless. However, bloggers find the situation logical because the Ukraine is the last Nazi-style state in Europe. They think that it’s high time for people to realise this and not to indulge in illusions.

Editor:

You needed proof that the Uniates haven’t changed their spots since supporting the Nazis in the VOV? Silly wabbit… evil is evil. For years, the Uniates blubbered, “It’s all Russia’s fault!” I’d say that’s bullshit. It’s time to kick ass and take names… run ’em back to where they came from, I say.

BMD

******

The tragedy in Odessa has become a moment of truth, when politicians speak without choosing words and nationalists kill without feeling shy of cameras. You can find all of this online, so, one can draw conclusions about the parties’ true nature and intentions. YouTube and social networks show nationalist terrorists shooting at those who found refuge in the Trade Union House. Young girls wearing headscarves the colour of the Ukrainian national flag diligently made Molotov cocktails later cast at the building. A group of people bottled explosive liquid right in the street, as if this were a picnic. Several hours later, those bottles made people burn alive. When the Trades-Union House was in flames, the people there didn’t get prompt assistance. Eyewitnesses said that fire-engines took ages to arrive, almost 20 minutes, which was hardly accidental. Nationalists openly sneered at the dead and injured. They call patriot elements “Colorado beetles” or the colour of their St George ribbons and sacrilegiously refer to the fire victims as “May Day shish-kebabs”. Two Ukrainian Rada People’s Deputies, both female, didn’t hesitate to praise the radical attack on their Facebook pages. They said, “Bravo, Odessa!” as if it was a theatrical show and not a tragedy with dozens of victims.

Editor:

We should run out on a rail all Orthodox who abet the Uniates… that means JP, Jillions, Freddie M-G, the SVS gang, and New Skete. The Uniates aren’t only attacking the Church, they’re exulting in it. I have to walk away from this shit… what gets me isn’t the Uniates (their organisation was crank from the git-go), it’s the Orthodox who sidle up to them and stroke them. That’s EVIL…

On Saturday, 10 people died and more than 40 injured in a bloodbath staged by ultranationalist Right Sector terrorists in the village of Andreyevka on the outskirts of Slavyansk. Slavyansk People’s Mayor Vyacheslav Ponomaryov said that the incident wasn’t accidental. Extremists opened fire at unarmed people, not at a roadblock, but on a road in the middle of the village. He said, “People blocked the way to the Right Sector column and tried to talk with the militants. In reply, they got automatic gunfire”. Earlier reports said that the villagers tried to prevent Right Sector gunmen from going towards Slavyansk and formed a living chain across the road to stop trucks and APCs. Reports said that the villagers parlayed with the gunmen, who agreed to fire their ammunition into the air and leave. However, after several bursts of fire into the air, the gunmen turned their weapons against the unarmed people.

An Exchange for Bout in the Works?

______________________________

An exchange may be in the works for Russian citizen Viktor Bout, convicted in an American court, for former FSB Colonel Valery Mikhailov, sentenced in Russia to 18 years in prison for cooperating with the CIA. Today, Moscow is insisting on the return of two Russians serving sentences in US prisons, Viktor Bout and Konstantin Yaroshenko. Its Mikhailov’s only chance for freedom, for his sentence is for high treason. Exchanges of prisoners between Russia and the USA isn’t uncommon, it’s often of mutual benefit to both governments. Most commonly, the sides exchange spies. The last open example of this was in 2010, when the USA expelled ten “exposed” GRU agents to Russia in return for four Russian citizens serving prison sentences for treason and spying for the United States. Moreover, at the time, the US State Department called the 10/4 exchange “an equivalent swap”, and “a benefit to American national interests”.

Lawyer Vladimir Yurasov said, “Now, it’s in the hands of the two sides. In terms of present theory and practise, an American spy sentenced under the RF Criminal Code must serve their sentence in the usual manner, but they could be exchanged for Bout on the basis of agreements at the highest diplomatic level; the two governments could handle the situation in that way. It’s extralegal; it’s a question of a political nature. If the leaders of both countries decide to do so, it’ll be a completely legitimate exchange”.

Today, Moscow seeks the release of at least two Russians serving sentences in American prisons… Viktor Bout and Konstantin Yaroshenko. The Americans abducted Viktor Bout in Thailand and an American court sentenced him to 25 years in prison for trying to sell weapons to the Colombian leftist group FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia: Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia). In addition, a US court sentenced pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to smuggle five tons of cocaine. Both pleaded not guilty, and Russian diplomats are in talks with their American counterparts to bring both Bout and Yaroshenko home.

Not long ago, US Attorney General Eric Holder made it clear that there can be a positive outcome for all of this. However, obviously, it’s not possible yet. It’s not prudent for the Obama administration to bring up any espionage-related theme right before the American election. Apparently, Mikhailov hoped that the CIA didn’t forget his achievements, and that they’d rescue him from a Russian prison. On Tuesday, the Moscow District Military Court sentenced Mikhailov to 18 years in prison for passing top-secret information to the CIA from 2001 to 2007. He passed them classified documents meant for President Putin and other high officials. Mikhailov pleaded guilty; he agreed with the verdict. Now, he has a chance to gain freedom in an exchange. However, would Bout agree to take part in such a course of events?

Law professor Janis Yuksha said, “After all, most people would assume that would mean that Bout was guilty, and that the action of the American court was legitimate. In this case, an exchange of a Russian citizen, who hasn’t, we argue, committed any offenses against the American government and, therefore, in principle, the Americans had no right to try him in the USA, for a former FSB officer who’s simply a traitor… it’s difficult to say that this is the right step”. In the meantime, the Americans suddenly transferred Bout from the Supermax, USP Florence ADMAX, to an ordinary federal prison, USP Marion. Neither Bout himself nor his lawyer nor family received any warning of his place of detention. Moreover, US federal authorities usually transport prisoners only on Tuesdays, but in this case, the movement occurred on Wednesday. Why this was is a mystery; we can only guess at the reason.

Editor’s Note:

Not to put a fine face on it, the US abduction of Bout in Thailand was illegal and without warrant. Its proof, yet again, that the USA is the main rogue state in the world. US law does NOT extend over the entire globe. Shit such as this is pushing Russia and China into a tight alliance to protect themselves against American barbarity, violence, and lies… there was a reason for 9/11, and Americans refuse to see that their own smarmy bullying was the cause (their kneejerk support of the most violent elements in Israel did find a response in the 9/11 strikes). The same was true in this case.

I spoke of a possible swap for Bout here and here in late May. The Russians also nicked a guy in Yekaterinburg for working for Langley. Ergo, this smells likes an “even swap”… the Russians get Bout and Yaroshenko in return for the USA getting the two Langley assets. One wonders if the two Russian traitors are going to be guests of Potapov and Paffhausen once they’ve hit the District. It wouldn’t surprise me. Cookie the Bookie’s laying good odds that Potapov’s going to be the go-between in settling these two jabronies in the USA; after all, Potapov’s a “made man” for Langley, and has been for years…
