Cinco de Mayo is a great anti-imperialist holiday… it wasn’t an invention of taco-shack-owning businessmen. On 5 May 1862, an outnumbered and outgunned Mexican force kicked ass on the French imperialist invaders of Mexico. No… it wasn’t the end of the war… but it did buoy up the Mexican patriots sufficiently that they were able to finally kick the French out on their asses. So… whenever you see Cinco de Mayo kitsch… know that there’s real history… real LEFT history… behind it…

Don’t forget our compatriots and coreligionists in Novorossiya as they stand guard against Uniate terrorism and American imperialism. They’ve turned aside the flood of evil that the Anglo Americans unleashed on the world after 1991. The events of the past 25 years prove that the USSR was the innocent party in the Cold War… the USA has spared no effort in its ambition to conquer the world and lay its resources at the feet of the Affluent Effluent.

The Orthodox patriots stand firm in Novorossiya… the people of Syria stand up bravely against CIA-financed and supplied Islamist terrorist aggressors… Iran stands resolutely against American threats and bluster… Russia and China stand united against Anglo greed and rapine. I believe that there’s hope for our world yet…

Of course, the Corporate Media doesn’t point up that either terrorism is a response to aggressive ploys of the great powers or it’s a state-sponsored imposture of the great powers. The Corporate Media “take” is bogus and no decent person should buy into it (Orthodox people… it tells you much about Establishment “journalists” such as S A Schmemann, Terrence Mattingly, S L Kishkovskaya, and Rod Dreher, doesn’t it?). Do note that Anglosphere “conservatives” are by far the most egregious liars on this topic, but Anglosphere “liberals” aren’t far behind them. In fact, Chilly Hilly is far worse than any “conservative” in her warmongering… but then again, both “conservatives” and “liberals” are Classical Liberals of the most obnoxious sort. That’s why I’m a Leftist (I’d call myself a Democratic Socialist with leanings toward Marxism)… neither Liberal ideology is fit for decent people.
