2 November 2017. VVP to Students: “Don’t Forget the Moral Component of Work”

V V Putin said the following to young people gathered in Sochi for the World Youth and Student Congress:

Don’t forget the moral component of work… of any job. We spoke about biology and medicine here. Undoubtedly, genetic engineering will open up incredible opportunities in pharmacology, new medicines, and by altering the human genome if a person suffers from genetic diseases. All right, that’s good. However, there’s another part to this process. What does it mean? It means that mankind can acquire the ability to get into the genetic code created by nature… or as religious people say… by Our Lord. What practical consequences can this entail? It means that it’s possible to create an individual with desired features. This may be a mathematical genius, this may be a talented musician, but it can also be a soldier, who can fight without fear or compassion, mercy, or pain. What I’ve just said may be more terrifying than a nuclear bomb. When we do something, whatever we may be doing… we should never forget about the moral and ethical foundations of our work. Whatever we do should benefit people, make them stronger… not destroy them.

That’s good. Note well that rightwing filth in our country (including Orthodox) are attempting to hijack VVP’s words. These words are against the essence of Anglo “conservatism”… a life-denying and self-serving ideology. These words are against “religion”… yes, they’re against “religion”. There’s a real faith in the Living God and there’s “religion”… a made-up simulacrum of Faith composed of rules, ritual, and repression (the Three R’s of Evil). Yes… the Church has rules… but it often relaxes them for this or that individual. Yes… the Church has ritual… but it isn’t the essence of what She IS. However, the Church NEVER represses… it frees us… it’s the freest form of religious expression there is. Reflect on that when you hear spiritual midgets bloviate on inconsequential points of liturgy or theology… reflect on that when you hear religious bigots pontificate on some minor point of the canons and rules.

VVP isn’t an American-style “conservative”… if he were, the American Establishment wouldn’t hate him so. Take the ranting of certain elements in the American Right (and amongst we Orthodox) with a great deal of scepticism…

2 May 2015. A Point to Ponder…

00 the truth. 02.05.15

Need I add more? You CAN tell the lovers of rightness and truth from the paid hack sellouts without a scorecard. It’s rather obvious, isn’t it? Yet, they think themselves “important”, “respectable”, and “authoritative”… God laughs… after all, Objective Truth and Orwell’s Ministry of Truth are two rather different concepts, aren’t they?

Texas Anti-Abortion Bill Repealed Following Protests

00 06.10.12 Oppose the Republican Anti-Life Programme

Public outcry and major disapproval surfaced over Texas anti-abortion legislation, which the State of Texas revoked only hours after it passed into law. After Democrats tried to filibuster the bill for 13 straight hours, the tactic seemed unsuccessful, as the new was voted in. However, now, Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst reversed his initial decision after pointing up that Republicans missed the deadline to vote. Reports claim that protestors yelled at them during the last 15 minutes of the voting session. Republicans believe that they began voting before midnight and did pass the bill on time. Records on the computer’s database reveal that they were out of time. If the new law had passed, it would’ve prohibited abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Clinics also would have had to change their facilities and categorise them as “ambulatory surgical centres”. People against the bill believe the new requirements would’ve forced 37 of the 42 abortion clinics in Texas to close down.

Editor’s Note:

Let’s keep it simple. Christ’s Church doesn’t believe in using the police power of the state to coerce people. The Grand Inquisitor’s Conventicle does believe in so doing. We have no right to ram our beliefs down other people’s throat through the means of the law. In any case, Orthodox shouldn’t be joining with Anti-Christian forces such as Evangelicals, Mormons, and Pentecostalists in anything. If you’ve been to any of their meetings (none dare call them services), you know that what goes on bears NO resemblance at all to real Christian liturgy. Lex orandi, lex credendi… as you worship, so do you believe. As the named groups don’t worship in a traditional Christian manner, they’re not Christians, full stop. We should have nothing to do with such loud poseurs and their causes. That’s what I see…

25 January 2013. There’s Good Shit Out There… A Link to Consistent Life: Voices for Peace and Life

Barbara-Marie Drezhlo. Respect for Life from Beginning to End. 2012

One of the Cabinet made me hip to a website called Consistent Life… click here to go there. These people aren’t rightwing anti-abortionists, they’re real deal prolifers. They don’t cheerlead for foreign wars, the DHS Gestapo, or the Affluent Effluent… they stand up against the Rightwing Culture of Death wherever they find it. That includes so many in the so-called “Pro-Life” movement… if you want to be Pro-Life, you have to stop shilling for the extremist agenda of the Republican Party, full stop. Oddly enough, it’s the rightwing “social conservatives” who’re the greatest enemies of real Pro-Life through their support of greedy pols who want to dismantle the social safety net… they scream about the “Culture of Death”, yet, they’re its greatest enablers through their votes for rightwing politicians. Interesting paradox, isn’t it?

If you want to call me a “socialist“… go ahead! I’m a Leftist, and proud of it. Interesting… for many years I was schizo… I was a union member (and walked the picket line) and, yet, remained a Republican. The meltdown of ’07 opened my eyes. I saw the objective evil in the anti-life and anti-people ethos of the Republican Party… it IS a Culture of Death (when sick people are refused healthcare if they have the “wrong” insurance, that’s evil, yet the Republicans smile at it all). I saw how my Nicky was treated shabbily by his employers… and it was “legal”.

There’s Pro-Life and there’s Anti-Abortion. They’re NOT the same thing. Think on that, if you will…
