On Friday, Republic of the Crimea (RK) Information Minister Dmitri Polonsky told ITAR-TASS that kids from the besieged city of Slavyansk in Novorossiya arrived in the Crimea, accommodated at present in area summer camps. Polonsky said that RK authorities are doing everything possible to make the children welcome, saying, “Not all camps of the Artek youth centre can now receive children due to objective reasons, so, the children who arrived from Slavyansk are now in institutions where we’ll create comfortable conditions for them. Certainly, we’ll do everything to help those who’ve come to us”. Unofficial reports say that, overall, some 200 children from Slavyansk arrived in the RK on Friday. One of the group’s the escorts, Olga Gadyatskaya, told KrymInform, “172 people arrived, 25 of them adults, others are children aged 8-16”. Earlier, another small group arrived at the Artek international children’s centre; then, the children went to another camp. Gadyatskaya said that there were no problems from junta forces when her group crossed the border.

Some of the best kid’s camps in Sov times were in the Crimea. Under the so-called “Ukrainian” state, they all went to seed… oligarchs like P A Poroshenko stole the money for them or the “government” used it for potty projects in hillbilly Galicia (the poorest and most backward part of that notional country)… like subsidising a “Catholic University” in Lvov. Now that the Crimea is back in Russia, the RF authorities are putting things to rights, and communist volunteers are amongst the most active people. You have a choice… you can support patriotic community-minded communists or you can support grasping Me First crapitalistic thieves in the Ukrainian Civil War. Can you guess which side the Republican Party supports?

On Saturday, ITAR-TASS reported that Stella Khorosheva, spokesman for People’s Mayor of Slavyansk Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, commented that junta artillery briefly shelled the city, saying, “They’ve fallen silent now. They usually fire at us in the morning and in the evening. We have no information on damage or injuries yet. They shelled the city centre”. Earlier, a opolchenie source told ITAR-TASS that the gunfire came from Karachun Hill, stating that “intense fire from mortars and howitzers” lasted a few hours. The shelling hit Artyoma and Semyonovka. According to the opolchenie, one could hear gunfire near the Kramatorsk airport and near the Kharkov-Rostov road intersection near Krasny Liman, near junta positions.

On Friday, spokesman for the RF Investigative Committee (SK RF) Vladimir Markin said that the SK RF would indict those guilty for the death of civilians and children in the former Ukraine, saying, “We must prosecute those guilty in causing the deaths of civilians and children according to international law. If no one else in the world admits the evident fact that the Ukrainian authorities acted in a criminal way, the SK RF would take on this responsibility by opening a criminal case. The SK RF will start collecting evidence on each person involved in crimes against the peace and security of humanity and not just admitting facts of crimes against civilians. If politicians in Kiev and the West prefer to live in their propaganda reality, like the children’s story about the emperor’s new clothes, well, that’s their problem. Here, in Russia, we’ll look at the facts with sobriety, including the obvious reality of the country’s collapse and the Ukraine’s failure to protect the interests and freedoms of its citizens. The SK RF opened a criminal case over instances of banned methods and tactics employed by unidentified servicemen, the “National Guard” (sic), and ultranationalist Right Sector terrorists in firing on Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Donetsk, Mariupol, and other localities in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR), under Article 356, Part 1 of the UK RF, ‘Use of Banned Methods and Tactics of War’”.

Vladimir Rogov, Co-Chairman of the Donbass People’s Front, told RIA-Novosti that world champion kick-boxer Nikolai Leonov was one of the Donbass People’s Opolchenie fighters killed in the fight for Donetsk airport on 26 May. On Friday, the morgue identified Leonov’s body and sent it to his hometown of Dnepropetrovsk. Leonov, 31, won the World Cup in full contact karate in Odessa in 2005. In 2007, he became the IAKSA and WTKA kick-boxing world champion in Marina di Carrara, Italy. He was a world-class athlete, working as a training manager. Leonov was a Cossack and a church Reader; he composed Orthodox raps.

Pavel Astakhov, Children’s Rights Commissioner for the RF President of the Russian Federation, who accompanied a group of refugee children from Slavyansk, stated in his microblog on Twitter that Ukrainian border guards refused to let his bus pass into Russia. He wrote, “The passengers… 38 people, including 21 children aged from 7 to 13, and a mother with a two-month old baby… were forced to take their things and go on foot. In Russia, the Rostov Oblast authorities fed them and sent them on to children’s camps in two air-conditioned buses”.

Alexander Borodai, Chairman of the DNR Government, said in an interview with RIA-Novosti that the junta intends to ratchet up the repressions in Novorossiya, to complete them before they inauguration their new boss, P A Poroshenko. He said, “The fighting will resume shortly, as the Ukrainian presidential election took place, but the inauguration hasn’t happened yet. I think that Kiev’s manoeuvre is to continue operations against the DNR and LNR, then, hold the inauguration, so their new President (sic) wouldn’t have the blame for anything. They’ll say, ‘He did nothing himself. He gave no orders. Here he is… clean, spotless, in apple-pie order’. Can they pull it off? That’s another matter… I don’t think that they can do it”.

Alexander Borodai, Chairman of the DNR Government, said in an interview with RIA-Novosti that the junta would be able to repress Novorossiya only if it makes extensive use of combat aircraft, saying, “The only way that [Kiev can repress Novorossiya] will be if they use combat aircraft in a major way. Still, I believe that even that has little chance of success. Our only problem is that we have nothing to oppose their aircraft. In fact, this is their only advantage. However, taking into account the skill-levels of their pilots, any bombing would lead to numerous deaths amongst the civilian population”.

Opolchenie sources told RIA-Novosti, “Intensive fighting broke out in several areas on the outskirts of Slavyansk and the enemy’s using attack helicopters. About 7-10 helicopters are circling over the battlefield, from time to time they fired decoy flares and strafed our positions with machine-gun fire”. Earlier this afternoon, junta forces resumed shelling civilian areas with mortars, killing at least two civilians, one of them a 40-year-old woman.

On Saturday evening, in Milano, in northern Italy, a group of Ukrainian nationalists and Right Sector toughs attempted to disrupt a group of Italians, Russians, and Ukrainians protesting the violent neo-Nazi policies of new junta boss P A Poroshenko. The Italian activist group Against War and local Russians and Ukrainians organised the protest. About 100 people gathered at the protest, whose organisers had gotten approval from city authorities, in front of the Ukrainian consulate general in Milano. One of the rally’s participants, a Russian named Svetlana whose relatives now live in Slavyansk, told RIA-Novosti, “We were participating in a peaceful protest. Italians, Russians, and Ukrainians, we all wanted to hold a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the Ukraine. Then a small group of Ukrainians, about 15 in all, moved right in front of the consulate’s front entrance and started waving Ukrainian and Right Sector flags, chanting nationalist slogans, and singing. We asked the policemen who were present at our rally for help, but they did nothing. One of the rally’s organisers, an Italian, tried to calm the group down, but they screamed ‘Heil Hitler!’ and ‘Sieg heil!’ at him. Things were about to turn violent, but the police intervened. Following that, another police van carrying reinforcements arrived at the scene. I saw some of these pro-Western Ukrainians at other rallies supporting Kiev’s actions”.
Along with the protest in Milano, a rally in Rome supporting the actions of Russia and President V V Putin in the Ukrainian crisis also backed Russian-Italian economic coöperation. The State and Power movement, along with the Trans-regional Civic Organization for Preservation of Homeland Cultural Legacy and Traditions VECHE, sponsored the rally, which also had city approval. It drew about 100 Italians, Russians, and Ukrainians at Holy Apostles Square. Stefano Bonilauri, a State and Power spokesman, said, that the rally’s goal wasn’t just to support Russian actions in the Ukraine, but to express dissatisfaction with the Italian government’s policy and its decision to “join the insane program of sanctions aimed against Russia”.

This illustrates why one MUST be careful in one’s dealings with Uniates and “Ukrainian Orthodox”… most are innocent, but the minority that isn’t is violent, crude, and uninhibited. I’d say that the safest course is one of cautious avoidance… don’t go looking for trouble, in this case, “trouble” is very bad indeed. However, don’t be silent in the face of Uniate lies… remember, most of the symbolism and history that they use they stole from us… like Cossack imagery (no Cossack EVER countenanced the Unia) or the “Rus-Ukraine” fiction (there are no references to that fairy tale until the 19th century). The rest of their “history” is a farrago of lies… do note their SILENCE on the willing collaboration of Uniates with the Nazis. Isn’t it ironic that they shouted, “Sieg Heil!” at leftist opponents of fascism? This IS too much of a muchness.
