Look at how all the “conservatives” followed Wet Willy Romney like lemmings. It didn’t matter that he was a draft-dodger in the Vietnam War… he had oodles of cash… so, all the Mammon-worshippers showed us their true deity. This time around, all the “conservatives” are flocking round Trump the Chump. Remember, Pat Buchanan was the author of Nixon’s racist “Southern Strategy” (what does that tell us about his drooling acolyte Dreher?)… they all want an America where hate is given free licence and discrimination is the law of the land. I’ll fight that… I’m not alone. The best way to fight that is not to nominate an oligarch-lover like Chilly Hilly. Both she and Trump are EVIL… if you doubt that Chilly Hilly is evil… well, I’ll simply say that anyone who bombed Belgrade on Holy Easter and piously imposed a bombing halt for Ramadan is surely that. As for Trump, look at Trump Tower… I’m reminded of Wren’s “If you require a memorial, look about you” in a VERY negative sense. Anyone who built such a monstrosity belongs in the Ha-Ha Hotel, not the White House.

I remember Wet Willy Romney’s comments about “takers” and “makers”. Do you? Well… the CREATORS of wealth have their fair share of the fruits of their labour stolen by the Crapitalist Investor Class. The workers are the MAKERS… the dronish investors and “owners” are the TAKERS. However, the most putrid people aren’t the One Percent themselves… the worst are nihilistic pundits such as Rod Dreher and Sean Hannity. They’re mercenaries with no fixed beliefs whatsoever… except for “I’ve got mine… the hell with you”. Bear that in mind as Sir Roddy bids you to feel sorry for him due to his sister’s tragic death (I find his misuse of her suffering noxious and horrid in the extreme).

Gallup Sez Americans’ Opinions of Russia and Putin Hit 20-Year Low

According to a survey released by Gallup on Thursday, with the eyes of the world trained on the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Americans’ opinions of Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin reached their lowest point in 20 years. According to the poll, both Putin and Russia registered their highest “unfavourable” ratings… 63 percent and 60 percent, respectively… since Gallup began surveying Americans about Russia in 1994. The results follow a Gallup poll in September showing that, for the first time in 15 years, more Americans view Russia as an unfriendly or enemy nation than as an ally or friend of the USA. Washington and Moscow sparred over a range of bilateral and global issues during the past two years, including the Syrian Civil War, gay rights and freedom of speech, American support for anti-government protests in the Ukraine, and Russia’s decision to grant asylum to American intelligence leaker Edward Snowden.

Gallup Managing Editor Art Swift wrote, “Whilst American sentiments were mostly favourable over the past 20 years, it’s obvious that Americans will react strongly at moments when Russia clashes with the USA”. Thirty-four percent of the respondents in the Gallup poll, conducted February 6 to February 9, had a favourable opinion of Russia, whilst 19 percent had a favourable opinion of Putin, who rose to power in 1999. Those numbers are down from 2002 highs of 66 percent and 41 percent, respectively. Swift noted, “Over the past year, Russia’s pursued a much more aggressive stance on the world stage than at any time in the new millennium. In his first term in office, the American public viewed Putin more favourably than unfavourably, but Americans now see him in a clearly unfavourable light”.

The above doesn’t surprise me… the CNN/Fox dezinformatsiya media duopoly give the American public almost no real news on Russia. In fact, they often used faked footage… Fox tried to pass off vid of Athens protests as Moscow… there aren’t any palm trees in Moscow in December! Furthermore, recently, Medvedev made Christiane Amanpour look like a fool on-air… that’s a cardinal sin! The “news machine” poorly serves Americans. In particular, Fox News is off-kilter… Roger Ailes lies about the Rodina for TWO reasons:

• He hates what Vladimir Putin stands for… after all, VVP put Khodorkovsky in the slam, which is verboten in Ailes’ book… Ailes is a big pal of Wee Willy Romney… whose actions in re the American people, economy, and government were IDENTICAL to those of Khodorkovsky in re Russia. Shitbirds of a feather DO flock together…
• Ailes uses any stick to beat Barack Obama. He lies about VVP to make President Obama look stupid. That is, it has nothing to do with Vladimir Vladimirovich, it has everything to do with the desire of the Republican Party to unseat President Obama and rape the American land and people.

Goebbels (and here) was right in many ways. He served evil… he was evil himself… however, his observations on propaganda and the moulding of public opinion are valid and merit attention. The CNN/Fox duopoly use his playbook… it works. Do recall that Goebbels DID lead the German public astray… not everyone sardonically mocked “Meyer’s Hunting Horns”*.

Yet, Ailes didn’t succeed in pushing the Koch Brothers’ agenda. See the anti-Putin/anti-Russian propaganda campaign in that light. The truth WILL set you free… aren’t you ashamed to have listened to such arrant shit? Well, we’ve all been gulled at one time or another… pass the jug… the world hasn’t got less crank in the last 24…

Some wonder why I oppose the so-called “Pro-Life movement” so vehemently. Well, it’s nothing but a figleaf for the greedsters of the Republican Party, for one. That is, most of the strident voices against abortion are also those who want to smash their boot heels full-force into the faces of the poor. Food prices went up, so these Republican greedsters CUT SNAP. That’s not very pro-life, is it? They’re also promiscuous abusers of the death penalty… that should be a very rare punishment for crimes against the state or for single instances of mass killing.

However, that’s not the major reason I oppose the “Pro-Life movement”… I find the racism tolerated by the Republican Party disgusting and beyond the pale. Allied to that is their demonisation of Muslims and their inordinate fear of Hispanics. These three things intermingle… one finds them not only in the GOP, but amongst nativist Radical Sectarianism as well. The demonisation of Muslims is recent, and the least seated of these three pathologies. We’ll leave it to the side for now. The same is true of their well-known cosseting of Southern racist anti-black sentiment… it’s serious, but it’s well-known. Let’s look at a less-obvious reason for now.

One of the major underpinnings of Republican racism is that the Southwestern USA is really Northwestern México (and it still has a substantial, and growing, Mexican population). It started with the Tejas Slaver Revolt in 1836. México decided to enforce its anti-slavery laws in its province of Tejas, and the American slavers resident there chose to defy the law and revolt… that made them criminals, didn’t it? Certainly, it puts the Alamo in a different light. Instead of freedom-loving heroes, the Tejas rebels were nasty proponents of human bondage, who’d do anything to keep their power over their human chattel. Indeed, they were 19th century Nazis, right down to a theory of a Master Race, of Untermenschtumen, and of Lebensraum (“Manifest Destiny”). It’s no wonder that the State of Texas has a crank political and business culture, given its beginnings.

President Van Buren refused to take in the slavers, but President Tyler was tireless in championing the slavers’ cause, which led to President Polk declaring war on México. To cut to the chase, the USA defeated México, and took Northwestern México as war booty. This is the only part of the USA with a large native non-Anglophone non-American population (and which was part of another country for centuries). That means that it’s an area in contention. The Mexican state (do note the difference between “México” and “Mexican”… it follows the difference between “México” and “Mexicano” in Spanish) recognises this, and does its best to keep in contact with the local Mexican population via its consular officers. That is, it’s the only part of the USA where there’s “tenuous occupancy”, where another country has a legitimate claim to American territory.

This gives the local Anglo population the willies. Not only is the Hispanic birth-rate outstripping the Anglo birth-rate, greedy American businessmen encourage illegal immigration by hiring illegal migrants to depress wage rates. That’s to say, one of the Republican core constituencies is a major cause of the very “problem” that the GOP decries. Of course, this has its inevitable outcome… the Republican Party caters to rich businessmen… rich businessmen bring in wetbacks to fatten their boodle bags… so, the Republican Party turns a blind eye to it, whilst at the same time it vociferously condemns it. Here’s an interesting wrinkle… the USA becomes less Anglo by the year… and non-Anglos mostly choose to support the Democratic Party. Indeed, had the Anglo proportion of the population stayed the same as it was in 1980, Wet Willy would’ve won the election.

Here’s the conundrum… the Republicans support the rich… but the rich bring in non-Anglos to depress the job market. These illegals stay, but their kids are native-born citizens, who saw how the Anglos treated their folks. That is, they’re not inclined to support the GOP! In order to appeal to Hispanics, the GOP has to go against THREE major blocs in its base:

• Rich businessmen
• Nativist Anglo-Saxons
• Radical Sectarian “Evangelicals”

Of course, there’s a great deal of overlap, but there’s also some tension involved, enough tension to upset the delicately balanced GOP coalition. The so-called “Pro-Life” movement is a sop to the Sectarians… as the Sectarians could sink the GOP coalition if they left it. Do note that the GOP follows NONE of the conditions that Cardinal Bernardin laid down in his Seamless Garment thesis. That is, it’s anti-abortion… NOT pro-life. The distinction isn’t minor. It means that the Republican anti-abortion plank is an hypocritical mask over a ruthless anti-working class programme meant to carry out a vicious class war to install a neoliberal dictatorship over all people and things. Ergo, no decent person can support the GOP.

Shall we have a TRUE Pro-Life movement? I haven’t seen it yet… however, the present movement isn’t what it claims to be. Therefore, I (and many others) don’t support it. It’s not pretty is it? It isn’t simple and it isn’t black n’ white. However, you must oppose those who just cut off 0.5 percent of the population… the most vulnerable Americans… and they want to cut the social safety net even more. Oppose such evil… to support someone who’s pro-choice (even though one doesn’t support that position) is less evil than to support a “Pro-Life” politician who intends to grind their heel into the face of the poor. Close your ears to their mewling justifications… look at the blood and gore on their boots. That should tell you what to do…

Oppose evil… God demands that of you…
