13 March 2014. It’s Been “All Quiet on the Church Front”… And That’s a GOOD Thing, Kids

One of the Cabinet asked me why I wasn’t posting so much on the OCA lately. Simply put, there’s been no real news to report. If there’s nothing out there, there’s nothing to say (do note how that doesn’t deter the usual cast of suspects on the better-known internet fora… they’re as prolific as ever, and as vacuous as ever). I asked a contact at the Centre who said:

His Holiness wants things quiet in America. He doesn’t care if nothing happens… he wants it quiet, as he has other more pressing items on his plate.

Another Cabineteer told me:

No one likes Mollard, but no one hates him either. He’s “meh”. None of the existing factions care for him, but no one sees him as the partisan of the other side, so, everyone’s content to let the conflict subside for the moment. It’s not over yet, but everyone’s war-weary. Mollard’s intellectual torpidity is a plus in this situation. He’s not going to do or say anything to piss anyone off. The OCA needs some peace… and Mollard’s going to give it that. He won’t give it anything else, but he’ll give it that, and that’s good enough for me.

That is, no one’s excited one way or the other about Mollard, but no one wanted the crisis that brewed in the OCA between 2005 and 2012 to continue. In no way did Mollard’s elevation solve that crisis, but it did stop the Sturm und Drang… which is what the Church needed. Mind you, there’s no unity, but there’s no open conflict either. The OCA remains as deeply divided as ever… the same tensions burble away under the surface. However, the Holy Synod tamped down the open flames. Those who wish to criticise that are cretinish juveniles. As the Russian saying has it, “All the options are worst”. The Holy Synod is a bunch of fallible bishops (remember, we DON’T believe in infallibility)… they had a gigantic shit sandwich with raw horseradish sauce on mouldy bread proffered to them. They chose a course that’d allow some of the more obvious nastiness to heal and to put an end to the continuing circus and brouhaha. I COMMEND them for that. You can call me names, but they had a plethora of bad choices, and they had to choose one of them.

THERE WERE NO REALISTIC “GOOD” CHOICES ON OFFER.

Yet, they were responsible… they had to choose something… they couldn’t just let the Church drift or let it tear itself to pieces in a pointless tussle for power. If we want a united Russian Orthodox Church in the diaspora, we need to understand that there’ll be times when we’ll have to follow Lenin’s advice, “Take one step back to take three steps forward”. This is one such time… Mollard isn’t advancing the cause of unity, but he’s not advancing the cause of the extreme Schmemannites either. There WILL be a time of decision, but not now. Tensions have a way of DEMANDING solution, as we see in the current Ukrainian crisis (that pot simmered away for the entire time of its “independence”… now, as it boils over, one sees the rats scurry in all directions). The same will happen in the OCA… but not in the immediate near term (nor in the medium term either… the OCA has at least five years of “unconflict”).

All mature people see this as a good thing, as do I. No news IS good news, in this case. Trust me, it’ll heat up again, all too soon. However, we have a respite… let’s make the most of it. Take my hand, Easter’s in five weeks, dear…

14 February 2014. oca.org Marks Anniversary of Mollard’s Consecration… But Has NO Word on the Holy Synod’s Decision in re Storheim Nor Did It Issue Condolences to the Sakhalin Shooting Victims

Talk about misplaced priorities! The layabouts at oca.org promptly posted a fluff piece on Mollard’s tenth anniversary of his consecration… but are SILENT on what the Holy Synod decided in re the convicted perv Storheim (if they decided anything at all) and REFUSED to give condolences to the families of the victims of the recent tragedy in Sakhalin.

This gives us three takeaways… firstly, it proves that oca.org is full of obsequious running dogs. Their attitude is, “Let’s all clap in unison, and let’s make sure that we mark down who stops applauding or (worse yet) those who’re only pretending to applaud!” (That is, they and their ROCOR analogues are Stalinist toadies of the most foul sort… Potapov included.) The most important thing in that piece of fluff was that Mollard became a “professor” at STS immediately upon graduation. There are interesting rumours about Mollard and Herman… this only deepens them. You don’t make an immature smarkacz of 27 as a professor at a seminary forming clergy… it’s irresponsible and reckless. Mollard was no expert in ANYTHING. Indeed, the only reason he got the white hat is that he’s so bovine that he won’t rock the boat (things will get worse due to his inattention and incompetence, but it still won’t get as bad as it could be if Fatso were still at the helm).

Secondly, the OCA isn’t “transparent” (why are you quiet, Gregory Nescott? Does power mean so much to you that you’ll do anything to keep it?). Justice Mainella threw the book at Storheim on 24 January… THREE WEEKS AGO. The OCA has done NOTHING. NOTHING… they’ve done NOTHING. The Canadian Press wrote:

Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Christopher Mainella said in an oral decision that lasted for two hours, “I don’t believe the testimony of the accused. The accused wasn’t credible about his behaviour. He … provided nonsensical answers and wasn’t consistent in his version of events”.

That’s strong medicine and big juju coming from a judge speaking on the record. In short, Judge Mainella expected the OCA to get its justice mojo going… but the OCA did NOTHING to discipline this convicted perv. It hasn’t even issued a reprimand or real statement of its intentions in re Mr Storheim… no doubt, on the advice of their shyster lawyers. It’s been THREE WEEKS, kids… you can’t say that I didn’t give ‘em enough time. Then again, they just issued personnel notices that were six- and five-months-old. In an age of smartphones, e-mail, and internet websites… it took SIX MONTHS. That’s irresponsibility and incompetence writ large… and no one dares “bell” Lyonyo or his stooge Jillions. Trust me, one could post such things in five minutes… we should post such things (at least) monthly, and we should post about ordinations BEFORE they happen, so that objections (if any) can reach the bishop BEFORE he makes a foolish mistake.

Thirdly, oca.org doesn’t acknowledge the shooting incident in Sakhalin. HH acknowledged it… his condolences were on the homepage of patriarchia.ru. Sakhalin is MUCH closer to the Diocese of Alaska than Syosset is (this diocese has the largest number of OCA parishes in any given US state), and many Alaska Native people have contacts in the Russian Far East (especially, with other indigenous folks). The OCA is a semi-autocephalous dependency of the MP… no way is it a full autocephalous Local Church… without the Centre’s imprimatur, the OCA would be a fringe group (just like the Paris Jurisdiction is). The shooting is BIG NEWS… indeed, if we believed in the catholicity of the Church, such condolences would’ve been up that very Sunday, just as HH’s condolences were. All that we needed to say was:

The Orthodox Church in America extends its condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the recent shooting in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. We ask all believers to pray for the repose of the dead and for the swift healing of those wounded. We ask all clergy to mention the victim’s names during the Proskomidi next week. The OCA shares the grief of its co-religionists in Sakhalin Oblast, which is so near to our own Diocese of Alaska.

Eternal be their memory…

That’s all that was necessary. It tells you something about Lyonyo… it tells you something about Jillions… it tells you something about Mollard… it tells you something about Lil’ Mizz Ginny… none of it good. God willing, we’ll begin to act as Christians should, for we’re not doing such now. As Archbishop Tikhon Dorovskikh said at the victims’ funeral:

May God grant that we’ve learned the right lessons from this tragedy. We shouldn’t cultivate hatred, nor should we curse the killer, for we learned a lesson about ourselves and about our society. We thought that we knew how to behave with others, that we were with Christ, that we were righteous, that we were trying to keep the commandments, that we were trying to see each person as an image and likeness of God, and that we were trying to love every person, no matter how unpleasant it seemed. Then, this love appeared… we must take it to ourselves, to place it in our hearts, only that will bring upon us God’s blessing and abundance. Then, and only then, will we have anything to give, and everyone around us will see that we’re really Christians.

You can heed this god-pleasing admonition, or you can follow the goofy arrant shit peddled over the years by Syosset, SVS, the HOOMies, and Platina (Rose and his “toll houses“… Bah! Humbug!)… that’s all that’s on offer. It’s up to you…

2 May 2013. Perspirin’ Minds Wanna Know… Is Fathausen Going to Serve with Tikhon Mollard This Weekend at St Nick’s in the District?

Got this in from the Cabinet:

JP MIGHT be invited to serve with Tikhon Mollard this weekend at St Nicholas Cathedral in DC. Fr John Perich thinks it’ll increase their attendance (and fatten the kollekta) because JP’s lot then won’t go to St John ROCOR parish. It might also be seen as a gesture of goodwill and reconciliation. Remember, he might be invited, it’s not a wrap at present. JP loves the attention and he doesn’t have to do anything.

Of course, there’s nothing up on oca.org… did you expect competent and timely reporting from Ginny Nieuwsma? Silly wabbit… it’s the usual pabulum from Syosset. You pays your money and takes your choice on this one. As for me, it does sound like the kind of California New Age goofy shit that Mollard likes to pull. I’ve heard various rumbles that Mollard wants to serve with Feodosy and Herman on Memorial Day at St T‘s (and some sources claim that Mollard wants to pull off a trifecta, serving with JP, Herman, and Feodosy). Bozhe! Will the wild shit never end?

If this isn’t proof that we need to rip up the Tomos and go home to the Centre, you’re a VERY slow learner…

23 February 2013. The Usual Unfocused Bullshit from the Monomoron Crowd… Now, They Think that Lyonyo’s on the Way Out

Michalopoulos isn’t a player in the Great Game (neither are any of the posters on Monomakhos)… nor does he know any of the real players. Therefore, take his words with more than the usual amount of scepticism.

A Cabinet member sent me the following drivel from the nappy-wearing Monomuckos set:

Two days ago, Metropolitan Tikhon and Fr John Jillions did the heretofore unthinkable… they began the phase out of Fr Leonid “Lefty” Kishkovsky, long-time Director of External Relations for the OCA. In addition to his other meddlesome duties as puppet-master of Syosset, Kishkovsky was champion of leftist claptrap, ecumenist, all-around scold, and darling of the National Council of Churches. In addition to these troublesome duties, it was he, probably more than anybody else, who tried to get rid of His Beatitude almost from the day of Jonah’s enthronement as Metropolitan {not true… James Paffhausen was his own worst enemy, being a liar, tale-teller, reckless spendthrift, and all-around scumbag (being a long-time disciple of the sodomite Podmoshensky didn’t help either): editor}.

During his Reign of Error, the OCA became a laughingstock in world Orthodoxy. Even today, the repercussions are being felt… as Syosset just reported, the OCA was invited to the enthronement of [Youhanna Yazigi], the new Patriarch of Antioch in Beirut. However no OCA clergyman was allowed to serve in the altar –a decided slap in the face to the OCA {that had nothing to do with Lyonyo… remember how Yuvenaly Poyarkov banned OCA clergy from Laurus Škurla’s funeral in ’08? I’m told that the ban has to do with the fact that the other Local Churches know of (and disapprove of) the gay blades who run the OCA… that included James Paffhausen (whose behaviour was typical of a deeply-closeted homosexual in denial): editor}.

We are uncertain as to what precipitated this long-overdue phase out, the most recent indication that Kishkovsky was told by Metropolitan Tikhon and Fr Jillions that he would NOT accompany them to a very private meeting at the Greek Archdiocese on Friday; but we are glad that these men (of whom Monomakhos has been highly critical for quite some time) are finally doing the right thing.

Michalopoulos is chock fulla shit on this one. I’ve heard nothing through my contacts, and, believe me, there are several (both priests and lay) who’d know of this if it actually were happening. Michalopoulos is smokin’ good shit… don’t believe a word that he writes. Jillions is Lyonyo’s puppet. However, it may have to do with the fact that Lyonyo is desperately trying to shore up Syosset after the Kondratick affair in Florida. Besides that, Storheim is due his day in court in June. In short, the OCA’s unravelling… and all of Lyonyo’s horses and all of Jillions’ men can’t stop it. Mollard’s grinning his usual idiot’s grin… he’s a vacuous nonentity. In any case, Mollard’s not going to make any move against the lot in Syosset connected to the TownHouse Bar… he’s that ineffectual.

By the way, Lyonyo isn’t a “leftist”. I’m a leftist… I should know. He’s a rightwinger, a neoliberal, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations… you can’t get more “Establishment” than that. Lyonyo is known to the Centre to have Langley ties… not as deep as Potapov has, but they’re there, and the FSB and SVR are aware of them. Michalopoulos is an ungrounded Hard Right fanatic who probably voted for the warmongering draft-dodger anti-Christian sectarian Romney. Michalopoulos agrees with Potapov’s lunatic claque in the District. I’d remind him that HH and Bart don’t agree with such rightwing claptrap. HH is FOR universal state-provided single-payer healthcare (as are the Catholics and other real Christians)… Bart isn’t known as the “Green Patriarch” for nothing. In short, the REAL Church opposes Michalopoulos’ fevered Hard Right bloviations.

It’s another day as the ship continues to settle into the water… it’ll reach the main deck soon enough. God do help us…
