9 July 2014. Ding, Dong… Well, the Witch Ain’t Dead… But We Did Find the Mouse!

Well, yesterday I was trying to post using the “mousepad” of this laptop… let me tell you, it was like trying to play Chopin on a kiddie piano with mittens on. I don’t recommend it to anyone… certainly, not somebody like myself with a short fuse. I think that two layers of paint on the walls melted away… you can guess what sort of language I used… yeah, it was kinda “blue”. It’s slow… it’s imprecise… it’s made for grandmas surfing the web and sending out e-mails… it’s not meant for serious posters. To make a long story short, Nicky was putting the dressers together today (we disassembled them for movement), his “bearish” nose twitched… there it was, in one of his dresser drawers. God, that’s so “Russian”, isn’t it? He packed it away carefully, to have it available when we moved… then, forgot where it was! It’s a great relief to have it… trust me, these built-in “mousepads” suck the royal red rooster and I’d tell all of you to stick to the old-school mouse (I got one of those new-fangled “tailless mice”… it works just fine).

Kudos to my Nicky Bear for finding this. He’s good to have around…

8 July 2014. Cat’s Back… But “Mouseless” at Present

I’m back online… the Verizon guy came and installed FiOS yesterday, and it’s better… not what’s advertised… but nothing ever is, is it? Unfortunately, my mouse is hidden in one of the boxes… but I’m using a laptop with a “mousepad”… it’s a bear to work, you can’t do anything fine, and everything takes six times as long to do as it should. It’s like trying to paint a portrait wearing oven mitts… yowza! Nevertheless, I’m back, and I’m going to soldier on. What’s that you say… I should’ve been more organised? Dear, “Russians aren’t Germans”… and that’s that. We’ll muddle through, as Russians do. I’ll do my best to post daily, on the Church, on leftist politics, and on the civil war in Novorossiya. As for the last, Slavyansk didn’t “fall to the Uniates”… the opolchenie withdrew in good order with all their arms and equipment. It was a fighting withdrawal, one of the most difficult military operations to carry out successfully. Furthermore, the patriots left “stay-behind” parties… it’ll be months until the Uniates secure the town… if ever. The financial, human, and psychological costs of this civil war are grinding down the junta forces. They NEED to win completely in the next 60 days. However, the fact that Uniate fanatics are shooting people in Slavyansk militates against that. The Uniates will find out that decent people hate them, their backwoods pidgin dialect, and their “Consciousness”. There’s a long road ahead, I fear… the bloodletting by the Uniate fascists has begun. That’ll lead to retribution… and the Uniate nasties will find out that there are plenty of “revengers” in Novorossiya… I’m not saying that I like what I see… but that’s what I see.
