Graham Phillips, an independent British journalist, concluded that experts investigating the crash of Malaysian Airlines MH17 only listened to those witnesses who confirmed the version that a Buk SAM hit the aircraft. Phillips undertook his own investigation into the crash starting in October 2014. According to his preliminary findings, many witnesses to the tragedy that occurred on 17 July 2014 still haven’t been able to give evidence to the Dutch investigative team of and OSCE representatives. No Western journalists have interviewed them either. Phillips told us, “I have witnesses who said that the special international experts never interviewed them. For example, a woman from Rassypnoe (the village near the MH17 crash site) stated that a dead body fell directly on her house, on the roof; it laid there for hours. However, no one came; no one took down her testimony, an eyewitness. In the end, she didn’t have a chance to give her evidence to the official investigation; none of the experts deigned to speak with her. How is it possible that they didn’t pay attention to such an eyewitness? At the same time, no foreign investigators interviewed those witnesses who disbelieved the scenario that a Buk SAM hit the plane. The facts that I unearthed don’t support that conclusion. The facts suggest that a fighter plane was in the area”.

“17.07.2014. On this spot, 283 passengers and 15 crewmembers of a Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, enroute from Amsterdam to Kula Lumpur, died in an airplane crash. Eternal Memory to those who died. We grieve. The villagers of Rassypnoe”

Graham admits that it’s difficult to establish the truth about what really happened to Flight MH17. He didn’t exclude that there’s questions about what actually happened, that such debate would continue for a long time. He said, “However, that’s why these eyewitnesses are so important. I want to make it clear that the people of Rassypnoe and Grabovogo (another village near the crash site) observed the moment when the tragedy occurred. One man saw two fighters in the sky on the day of the crash… one flew toward Saur-Mogila and the other in the direction of Debaltsevo. This man claims to have seen them quite clearly. I support the official investigation and I’m ready to provide it with my material. Now, every day, I talk with the Dutch experts investigating the crash; I tell them about Kiev’s allegations, how they’re all twisted. I’m in constant contact with the experts, collecting materials, and sending them on to them. This continues every day, and I want to believe that it’d result in an objective conclusion. At the same time, I don’t exclude that something may bar the way to the truth. If the investigation leads to an incorrect result, to a biased conclusion, then, I’d have the facts to prove those conclusions wrong; I could speak with the facts against the investigation. In the coming days, I plan to interview a number of eyewitnesses to the crash, even inspect the crash site using a drone. I want to make a maximum contribution to ensure a truthful investigation. As a journalist, I have to make every effort to do this”.

A Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, enroute from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on 17 July 2014 near Ugledar in the DNR. All 298 people on the aircraft died in the incident. Not even waiting for the first results of the investigation, the Kiev junta and the West made unsubstantiated accusations that blame for the affair laid on patriot Novorossiyan forces or the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, the DNR authorities did everything possible to carry out an objective investigation and provided all necessary assistance so that forensics experts from the Netherlands and Malaysia could examine the crash site. For their part, the SK RF* opened a criminal case on the MH17 crash. Their main witness is a former Ukrainian Air Force mechanic, Yevgeni Agapov, who voluntarily came to Russia and expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation. According to Agapov’s testimony, a Ukrainian Su-25 took off on a combat sortie; it returned to base with its ammunition expended. The pilot of the aircraft told colleagues, “That plane was in the wrong place at the wrong time”.
