LIfeNews on the Brexit

Ex-Ukrainian Prime Minister N Ya Azarov thought that Kiev should concentrate on solving domestic economic problems, instead of dreaming of European integration:

The result of the [Brexit] referendum has no relevance to the internal situation in the Ukraine. Our trade and economic relations with the UK are derisory. Besides, we’ve never gotten anything good from them, just empty talk. We have to think about how to get the Ukraine out of its present crisis. We aren’t moving towards the EU… we’re becoming Bangladesh. All this talk about European integration is make-believe.

In the UK referendum, the number of votes to leave the EU outweighed those favouring European integration. This led to a sharp drop in value of the UK Pound by 10 percent and pulled European stock indices into the red. After they counted the votes, British Prime Minister David Cameron announced his resignation.

French President François Hollande commented on results of the UK Brexit referendum:

This event changes the situation in Europe. The EU will no longer be the same, and it’ll take us quite some time to take the measures to solve the emerging problems. It’ll take some time to bring it about, to put it into effect, for Europe will no longer be what it was before. We must recognise that the story has changed today; now, new events change the European situation.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said:

I hope that after it leaves the EU, the UK will continue to be a close partner.

President V V Putin confided that the Brexit wouldn’t affect Western sanctions against Russia:

These sanctions didn’t start as a bilateral matter; we’ve only responded to measures taken against our country. I emphasise that if our partners ever want to engage in constructive dialogue with us, we’re ready, we want that, and we’d respond positively to positive actions. At the same time, other parties can’t expect Russia to do things over which it has no control.

K I  Kosachyov, head of the RF Federation Council’s International Affairs Committee told us:

If the British authorities decide to withdraw from the EU, it wouldn’t happen overnight. According to my calculations, it’d take about two years to carry out all necessary consultations, to prepare the measures to implement it, and start the actual process. After this transition period, they’d need another five years to complete it. It’d take seven years for a complete withdrawal of the UK from the EU.

After the positive outcome of the referendum in the UK, it’s likely to see further disintegration in the EU. It’s not right to gloat about it, as Europe continues to be one of Russia’s largest trading partners. Even in a time of sanctions, trade between the EU and Russia is 49 percent of the total, some 230 billion Euros (16.8 billion Roubles. 1.67 trillion Renminbi. 17.36 trillion INR. 255.7 billion USD. 332.5 billion CAD. 342 billion AUD. 186.9 billion UK Pounds) per year. I don’t share the simplistic view that if things get worse for them, it gets better for us. If the EU remains enmeshed in problems, mired in crisis, this’d affect our trade relations.

On 23 June, the UK held a referendum on whether to leave or stay in the EU. In the end, the “Leave” faction garnered nearly 17 million votes, or 52 percent of the total number of votes. The Remain” faction scored a little more than 15 million votes, only 48 percent. Against this background, world oil prices lost about 6 percent and the UK Pound weakened against the US Dollar.

G A Zyuganov, the First Secretary of the KPRF Central Committee and KPRF Faction Leader in the RF Gosduma, told us:

The decision to withdraw from the EU taken by British citizens in the referendum showed that they weren’t willing to put up with the negative effects of globalisation. The Brussels bureaucracy engulfed them and they had to swallow its dictates; the English were the first to realise its dangers. The End of History didn’t happen, but it’s a new stage, where peoples pursue sovereign development and friendly relations with their neighbours. This is the beginning of the end of the EU, which acted as the big stick of American politicians, rather than harmonising relations.

O A Tsaryov, former Peoples Deputy of the Ukrainian Verkhovnaya Rada, told us:

The Ukraine shouldn’t count on EU accession. After the UK referendum and its possible consequences, the EU might not even be around in a few years time. Once again, this emphasised that Kiev chose the wrong path. They sacrificed their economy’s stability in a quest for “European Integration”. Everything turned out to be in vain. They want to go where it’s already impossible to enter. They try to reassure themselves that it’s possible, that they can get into the EU eventually, but this “later” may never come, as the EU can’t survive. They lost their illusory “opportunity” to get the Ukraine into the EU.

The Irish government intends to start a process of reunification with Northern Ireland. The main instrument of such an action could be a referendum, both in the north of the island, which is part of the UK, and in the south in the Republic of Ireland itself. However, Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ireland Charlie Flanagan told the Daily Mail:

The referendum won’t be in the near future. A future united Ireland is in the interests of our citizens, but to hold a referendum at the same time that the British government negotiates its withdrawal from the EU would only cause division.

Ireland’s reunification would threaten the territorial integrity of the UK, as part of the latter is Northern Ireland. At the same time, the majority of people of Northern Ireland voted in favour of remaining in the EU, but the national vote went the other way, not taking them into account, which gave rise to even more talk about a possible referendum for independence from England.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the start of preparations for a referendum on independence from the UK. Firstly, the task is to develop a bill calling for such a referendum. This vote will be the second in recent years. In the previous referendum, the Scots voted by a whisker voted to keep Scotland in the UK. Talk about Scottish independence resumed immediately after the results of the referendum on the withdrawal of the UK from the EU became clear. According to the results of the last referendum, nearly 50 percent of Scots believed that the country should be independent. The Cabinet believe that this number increased over the last two years, especially, after the announcement that the UK is leaving the EU.

The Ukraine Refuses to Admit Guilt in Shelling of Russia… Issues Egregious Lies

00 novorossiya 04. 15.07.14

______________________________

ITAR-TASS reported that the Ukraine refused to fess up that it shelled Russian territory. On Sunday, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MID Ukrainy) issued a statement saying that junta forces didn’t fire on the region mentioned by Russia. It claimed, “Ukrainian forces never shelled, aren’t shelling, and won’t shell territories of a neighbouring state or residential quarters”. The MID Ukrainy expressed condolences “over the death and injuries of Russian nationals in Donetsk in Rostov Region”. Junta forces shelled the Russian border town of Donetsk with high-explosive shells early on Sunday. A shell hit a house, killing one Russian resident and seriously wounding another two.

The Ministry of Foreign affairs (MID) filed a formal protest with the Ukrainian chargé d’affaires in Moscow over the shelling, stating, “On the same day, we summoned the Ukrainian chargé d’affaires to the Russian Federation to the MID, where the Russian side expressed a firm protest to him. The note handed to the chargé states that the Russian side regards this provocation as a regular aggressive act of the Ukrainian side against sovereign Russian territory and citizens of the Russian Federation. We emphasised that the mentioned incident testifies to an extremely dangerous escalation of tensions near the Russian-Ukrainian border and may have irreversible consequences, responsibility for which will lie with the Ukrainian side. Once again, the Russian side insists that the Ukrainian side adopt decisive steps to stop such provocations”.

Editor:

The Uniates and schismatics are apostate organisations, ergo, there’s no truth within their official structures. Therefore, nothing that comes from the junta is truthful, as it’s a creature of these false constructs. Sad… but true…

On Sunday, ITAR-TASS reported, citing TsIA Novorossiya, that Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) opolchenie took control of Lugansk airport. Eyewitnesses reported “much gunfire near the Lugansk aerodrome”. Junta forces launched two uncoördinated attacks, in the north, near Metallist (Lugansk suburb) and in the south. Official sources said, “Due to the lack of coördination, the southern group only now at about 00.30 MSK neared Roshkoshnoye (15 kilometres from the airport). The opolchenie used artillery to counter the attack”.

There were firefights around Uralo-Kavkaz, Porechye, and Goncharovka, “The enemy is trying to cut off Krasnodon from the border”. Combat near the Izvarino position, located not far from Krasnodon, continued for more than a day. Junta forces tried to break through Uralo-Kavkaz to the eastern districts of Krasnodon. “Local residents reported that artillery fire heavily damaged the settlement”. Action continues near Saur-Mogila, Marinovka, and Torez (Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR)). “According to reports, about 300 enemy troops surrendered near Saur-Mogila. Unconfirmed information said that the opolchenie shelled junta positions with artillery near Vesyolaya Gora (LNR)”.

Editor:

There are three things hindering the junta forces. Firstly, the commanders are Galician Uniate incompetents chosen for political reliability, not military ability. Secondly, all units have “morale instructors” (commissars) drawn from Euromaidantsy terrorists. Verified reports tell of junta commissars shooting reluctant troops. Thirdly, the Galician elements refuse to use Russian or Surzhik, which means that their orders are incomprehensible to the majority of soldiers. Is there any wonder that the junta forces are doing poorly? I wonder if there’s going to be a counter-coup against the illegitimate putschist junta… it’s a possibility…

Citing a source close to the Kremlin, Kommersant said that Moscow’s considering “pinpoint strikes” on the Ukraine to retaliate against Ukrainian bombardment near Donetsk (Rostov Oblast). The source said that Russia “knew exactly where the gunfire was coming from”. He noted that it wouldn’t be a massive action, but only pinpoint strikes on positions that fired on Russia. RF Federation Council Vice-Chairman Yevgeni Bushmin, a representative from Rostov Oblast, suggested a similar idea. In his opinion, precision weapons are able to stop shooting from the Ukrainian side.

Early on Sunday morning, Donetsk (Rostov Oblast) came under fire when junta forces and the opolchenie fought for over the Izvarino border checkpoint. A shell fired from Ukraine landed in the yard of 47 Baltiyskaya Street. The explosion killed local resident Andrei Shulyatyev (born 1967). Another shell hit a nearby house and injured a mother and a daughter. Emergency services took the 82-year-old woman to hospital. Her condition is serious; she has fractures and a concussion.

Interfax reported that A Е Purgin, First Deputy Chairman of the DNR Government, told reporters, “We evacuated around 500 people just yesterday in the evening from residential areas under artillery fire, so, on average, we evacuate regularly seven to eight buses from the city districts and its suburbs. The evacuation goes on in an orderly fashion, and information reporting large-scale evacuations of the entire Donetsk population is false”. According to Purgin, junta forces continually shell Donetsk suburbs and its outskirts, 15 people died in shelling last night.

Junta so-called “National Guard” (sic) Euromaidantsy terrorists alleged that they didn’t have anything to do with the shelling of Donetsk in Rostov Oblast on Sunday. They claimed, “The Ukrainian ‘National Guard’ (sic) ‘command’ {they have no real command element… they’re nothing but Euromaidantsy terrorist scum in uniform masquerading as soldiers: editor} categorically denies reports that it took part in the shelling of the Russian town of Donetsk on 13 July. Again, the ‘National Guard’ (sic) isn’t deployed in the cited district or in a territory matching the shell’s trajectory. We don’t have weapon systems that could’ve inflicted such damage “. This was a response to Moscow saying that the Russian government “knew exactly where the gunfire was coming from”.

Editor:

The “National Guard” (sic) are Euromaidantsy Uniate trash with no sense of right or wrong. They’re nothing but UPA murderer wannabes, so, nothing that they say is truthful… the same goes for the junta in general. They’re nothing but willing butchers for the West… treat their statements accordingly.

Interfax reported that LNR opolchenie HQ told reporters that they took the pilot of a junta Su-25 attack shot down near Krasny Liman yesterday into custody, saying, “We detained the pilot and are questioning him. We’ll find out what and how, what purposes and objectives there were. We’re not mistreating the pilot; we’re holding him in conditions that meet international requirements; everything is humane, without cruelty. He’s being fed, no one’s beating him”.

A day earlier, the opolchenie said that they’d captured the four crew members of a downed junta An-26 military transport aircraft. The LNR opolchenie didn’t rule out exchanging the aircrew for opolchenie supporters held as political prisoners by the junta. LNR People’s Front leader Aleksei Chmilenko said, “Of course, we’d like to have a swap for them, to release some of our comrades, maybe, Lugansk Guard leader Aleksandr Kharitonov or Lugansk regional councilor Arseny Klinchayev. Any exchange of the detained pilots depends on Kiev’s position. Very often, it turns out that there’s no one we can swap them for. Currently, we’re holding the Su-25 pilot. The opolchenie command will decide his fate. We don’t rule out swapping him, but he may also have to do some labour. We aren’t going to treat him harshly. No one is going to execute him”.

According to Interfax, the DNR opolchenie reported that junta forces resumed airstrikes on the town of Snezhnoe, leaving 11 dead and 8 injured. Konstantin Knyrik, spokesman for the South-Eastern Front, told reporters, “They’re carrying out new airstrikes on Snezhnoe. Preliminary reports say two Su-25 attack aircraft are striking the town”. Earlier in the day, a junta aircraft fired five rockets into Snezhnoe. Opolchenie HQ said, “They hit the tax administration building and one of the entrances to a nearby house”. The Donetsk administration posted on its website, “Eleven people died, according to information available by 17.00. Eight others suffered injuries, including a child. The child is now in the Donetsk regional hospital”.

Interfax reported that DNR opolchenie posted on Twitter that junta warplanes dropped bombs on Shakhtarsk (57 kilometres from Donetsk), “Enemy aircraft struck Shakhtarsk and its suburbs. We’re verifying reports of casualties and destruction”. DNR opolchenie also stated that junta forces and opolchenie had artillery duels around the town since Monday evening, “On Monday night, our forces attacked with a T-64 tank against an enemy position near Dmitrovka. We destroyed two enemy armoured vehicles. Early on Tuesday morning, enemy forces subjected Dmitrovka to a massive artillery bombardment. They fired Grads, causing fires and much damage in the village”.

On Tuesday, O A Tsaryov told ITAR-TASS that the Union of People’s Republics (SNR) Supreme Soviet had a plenary meeting, “The second plenary meeting of the SNR Supreme Soviet took place. The meeting adopted changes to the SNR Constitution. Now, we can rightly, de jure, call our state Novorossiya. This name is a part of our Constitution. Now, our legislative body is the Novorossiya Supreme Soviet. We passed a number of important laws without which a legislative body can’t work… the Law ‘On Parliament’ and on deputy status. Each deputy would be responsible for his own district, work there, help people, in particular, with humanitarian aid. We’re going to start real work with the citizens of Novorossiya. I hope that the Novorossiya Supreme Soviet will become a venue in which the People’s Republics would work out a consensus and develop common decisions. Step by step, we’ll move towards building an independent state”.

Rada Approves Arrest of Tsaryov… Ukies Threaten to Sue Russia Over the Crimea

00 Donetsk Republic 01 1918. 04.06.14

This map shows the situation prior to the Soviet-imposed borders of the 1920s. The borders of the UNR coincide broadly with the ethnographic Ukraine. Therefore, it has no viable claim to either the Crimea or Novorossiya.

The map was in Russian, this is my translation and PhotoShop change, and I added the note about the Pontic Greeks

______________________________

ITAR-TASS reported that the Rada approved the arrest of Oleg Tsaryov, one of the leaders of the opposition to the junta, who criticised the recent Ukrainian presidential election in Ukraine. 235 People’s Deputies, slightly more than the required number of 226, supported Tsaryov’s arrest. Tsaryov was a candidate in the Ukrainian presidential election, but he withdrew on his own free will. Tsaryov also called on other presidential candidates, whose base was in the former southeastern Ukraine, to quit the presidential race. He said, “We should boycott this election, as it’s happening in the midst of a civil war”. Last week, the so-called junta General Procurator Oleg Magnitsky announced that the Genprokuratura had initiated several criminal cases against Tsaryov, accusing him of “making public calls to overthrow the existing constitutional system in the Ukraine, change its state borders, and stage acts of disobedience, which entailed grave consequences and caused many casualties among security forces and peaceful civilians”.

Editor:

Fascist goons beat up Tsaryov. Tsaryov is facing charges, not the goons. Off with their heads! It seems that the Jabberwocky is the real Procurator! As for “making public calls to overthrow the existing constitutional system in the Ukraine”… the junta is guilty of that and more. I seem to recall that they took power in an illegal illegitimate extra-constitutional coup. If V F Yanukovich had done likewise to that fatuous moneybags jackass Klichko, why the shit-storm in the West would’ve have been tremendous! Note well that the USA smiles in glee and claps its hands… after all, it’s done the same, and more… see what good pupils the junta is!

On Tuesday, South-Eastern Front spokesman Konstantin Knirik told Interfax, “At around 15.00 MSK (03.00 PDT. 07.00 EDT. 12.00 BST. 14.00 local time. 21.00 AEST), Ukrainian forces started a massive shelling of Krasny Liman. We’re clarifying Information about fatalities and injuries amongst civilians. ‘National Guard’ (sic) fighters took several dozen villagers out of their houses on the southern edge of Krasny Liman, put them against a wall, and demanded, under threat of execution, to give them the names of the opolchenie known to them. However, no execution followed afterwards. Besides this, Ukrainian military aircraft carried out two airstrikes against Semyonovka near Slavyansk”.

******

On Tuesday, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) confirmed that the deadly attack on the Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) Administration building in Lugansk was an airstrike. The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission said in a statement, “On 2 June, shortly after 15.00 (04.00 PDT. 08.00 EDT. 13.00 BST. 16.00 MSK. 22.00 AEST), rockets hit the occupied administration building. Based on the SMM’s limited observation, these strikes were the result of non-guided rockets shot from an aircraft”. The strike left eight people dead and 28 injured. The OSCE added that the situation in Lugansk remains “volatile”. Kiev confirmed that it launched rockets in Lugansk. According to a Minoborony Ukrainy statement, “All in all, to fulfil combat support for Ukrainian border guards, military aviators fired more than 150 rockets, in three jet and five helicopter sorties”.

******

On Tuesday, ITAR-TASS reported that Arseny Yatsenyuk said that the Ukraine filed a suit against Russia with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) over the Crimea rejoining Russia. Pavel Krasheninnikov, chairman of the RF Gosduma Committee on Civil, Criminal, and Arbitration Legislation, said, “I’m not surprised to hear about such a suit. They’re doing what they can. They should have thought better when they organised the Euromaidan and overthrew the legally elected president. Insofar as the Crimea’s concerned, [the Crimeans] first proclaimed independence and then held a referendum on joining Russia. In such cases, from the point of view of international law, everything’s clear. However, since the Kiev authorities are now in a situation where they have to prove their ‘might’, they’re trying to show it. Our Foreign and Justice Ministries should get prepared. We have brilliant specialists in this sphere, and I think they’d perfectly cope with this task. If we’re speaking about a court case at the ECHR, we should presume that there’ll be justice. It’s important that our side is well-prepared. We have all the arguments on this matter, and we’re all eyewitnesses of history. There are many possibilities for people to defend their rights, including at the ECHR. I don’t think the subject of such suits would be the same, but I’m sure that there’ll be an avalanche of suits there with time”.

Editor:

The junta’s audacity and that of its American puppeteers is mindboggling. They’re an illegitimate government that took power in an illegal putsch, and they’re screaming “illegal” about the Republic of the Crimea rejoining the Russian Federation (the legal successor of the USSR and the Russian Empire). That is, the Crimea was part of the Russian Empire and the USSR, so, for it to rejoin its legal successor, the Russian Federation, is without legal defect, as it only restores a recognised legal status quo ante. The Russian Federation never gave up ANY claim to territory held by the Empire or by the Soviets. Anything signed by the Yeltsin gang is invalid, as the West imposed it on Russia at knifepoint, and Yeltsin couldn’t and didn’t stand against their illegal demands. The borders of the Ukraine on 21 February 2014 were only the borders of the Ukrainian SSR, a non-sovereign subject of the USSR. They had no real international reality, nor could they. It’s ironic… the Uniates hate the Soviet legacy and try to destroy it, yet, the borders that they claim for the Ukraine were those imposed by the Soviets in the 1920s (and in the case of the Crimea, 1954)! Look at the map at the head of this post… Only the territory marked “UNR” is actually “Ukrainian”… and even some of that isn’t “Ukrainian”. The eastern border of the ethnographic Ukraine is the Dnepr and none of it touches the sea. Novorossiya was never part of Kievan Rus nor was it ever under Polish occupation; ergo, it can’t be “Ukrainian”. The Uniates bite themselves in the ass! If they reject the Soviets, they reject the borders of the Ukrainian SSR, which means that the Ukraine reverts to its natural borders, which mostly coincide with those of the UNR. The real world can be odd, can’t it? In short, they have no real, legal, or moral claim to Novorossiya or the Crimea, QED.

The junta had best be careful… history isn’t on its side. The Uniate establishment are skilful liars… have a care about them, and let the informed sorts like me refute them. Many of them are nasty, pitiless, and unscrupulous. I wouldn’t want to see any of you hurt.

Regions Deputies Leave Rada Session to Protest Junta Repressions… Kolomoisky Threatens Tsaryov… All Quiet in Slavyansk

00 lugansk. donbass peoples opolchenie. 15.05.14

______________________________

The Party of Regions faction in the Rada left the hall to protest junta military repressions in the eastern “Ukraine”. Aleksandr Yefremov, chairman of the Regions Rada faction, told junta chieftain Aleksandr Turchinov, “I’ve heard one thing from the right side of the session hall for many years… that the main thing in our state is people and human rights. Now, they’re killing people in the eastern Ukraine … We asked you to halt the anti-terrorist operation (sic), but you pretended that nothing’s happening. The Party of Regions believes that to work in the session in this situation is a supreme manifestation of hypocrisy. We’re leaving the hall”. After that, all the Regions Rada People’s Deputies left the hall.

Interfax reported that Valery Blagodetelyov, spokesman of Slavyansk People’s Mayor Vyacheslav Ponomaryov, said the statement of junta chieftain Aleksandr Turchinov claiming that junta forces destroyed opolchenie strongpoints and secured the site around a TV tower was ludicrous. He said, “We deny Turchinov’s statement. All bases and strongpoints are still under our control. The statement about ‘mopping-up’ the area near the TV tower is also far-fetched. We’ve never deployed forces at that place. Junta forces occupy the tower’s site sporadically. We just keep an eye on them”.

An audio recording of a phone conversation between oligarch and Governor of Dnepropetrovsk Oblast Igor Kolomoisky and Oleg Tsaryov made by unknown persons appeared on the internet. The caption to the posted recording said that the conversation took place late at night on 10 May 2014, and former SBU officers calling themselves the Joint Cyber-Militia of Donetsk, Lugansk, and Kharkov Oblasts recorded it. In addition, another audio record posted online proves that Kolomoisky personally ordered the Odessa massacre. As Chelovek-Online reported, Oleg Tsaryov confirmed that the phone chat was authentic.

Igor Kolomoisky

Howdy!

Oleg Tsaryov

Hi!

Kolomoisky

Where are you? Same place?

Tsaryov

Yeah.

Kolomoisky

How goes it?

Tsaryov

Okay.

Kolomoisky

Listen; there was a bad mess here. Someone killed a Jew from the Dnepropetrovsk community.

Tsaryov

What’s up there?

Kolomoisky

Someone killed a Jew from the Dnepropetrovsk community. I’m in the synagogue now.

Tsaryov

What did he do there?

Kolomoisky

Never mind what he did. They say they’re promising **** big bucks for your head now.

Tsaryov

My head?

Kolomoisky

Yeah. One million bucks. They say they’d hunt you down anywhere. I’ve let you know. Stay in Moscow… don’t go anywhere.

Tsaryov

I want to tell you something. In Africa, there are some…

Kolomoisky

They’ll hunt down your associates too.

Tsaryov

In Africa, there is such a … such a poison…

Kolomoisky

Listen, bollocks to what’s in Africa. Stop spinning yarns to me. I tell you, there was a prayer in the synagogue on the eve of Shabbat. Pray for that man, comrade Shlemkevitch, a Jew killed in Mariupol, *****

Tsaryov

That’s how it is then.

Kolomoisky

They say that Tsaryov’s to blame ****. Tomorrow, your people will be the cock-shot here. You tell them to get the *****out of here. We’re going to hang them right in the square. You know, tell Markov not to come here either… to the Ukraine… under any circumstances. Got it?

Tsaryov

Don’t call me anymore, Igor.

Kolomoisky

You don’t want me to call? Okay. See ya.

Tsaryov

Bye, see ya.

RT reported that two junta APCs fired at a car carrying RT Ruptly video journalists near Kramatorsk. The team and a crew from Channel 5, another Russian TV network, were in the same car heading to the town of Dmitrovka, as APCs “came out of nowhere” and “opened fire for no clear reason”. The bullets didn’t hit the car. Earlier, junta forces shot freelance videojournalist Fyodor Zavaleykov, 23, of the RT Ruptly team, in the abdomen whilst he was covering military operations in Mariupol. According to RT, he received serious wounds on 9 May whilst trying to film junta forces’ assault on the Mariupol police building. Three days later, after negotiations with junta authorities failed to allow a German medical jet to land in Mariupol, the reporter went to Moscow for treatment.

Note well that the junta pigs didn’t allow a medical jet from the EU to evacuate a newsman. That tells you much about them, their Langley and Vatican sugar daddies, and the Americans who urge on the Uniate trash by sucking up to them (especially, certain “Orthodox” seminaries!).

If I could, I’d say to Dmitri Kiselyov that there are people amongst the VOR staff who suck up to the West. The dead giveaway in the posts on the Ukraine is that such people use the Galician hillbilly dialect names for people and places, not proper Russian usage (the Galician dialect is a backwoods patois, not suitable for formal use on a news site). Thus, it’s “Aleksandr Turchinov”, “Lugansk”, “Yuliya Timoshenko”, or “Kiev”… anyone who refuses to use proper Russian transliteration is spitting on the Russian state’s POV and supporting that of the junta pigs. Of course, one can have one’s opinions… but one can’t spout viewpoints opposite to those of the Russian state on a Russian state broadcaster… that seems logical to me. Besides, that I’d urge the use of the traditional “the Ukraine” in all English writing… “Ukraine” came about by mewling Uniate activists in the 90s, who threw spoilt-children tantrums if people continued to use the traditional and correct English usage (they’d run to their American and Vatican protectors and scream “hate speech”). It’s “the Ukraine” for the same reason we say “the Netherlands”… the first is “the borderlands”, the second is “the lowlands”. That’s what I see, any road.
