11 August 2017. Not Sick… No ISP Problems… Just Awfully Busy in the Real World

I’ve been VERY busy in the real world. Been working overtime and learning how to drive (at 63!). There are no ISP or health problems, thank the Good God. I’m going to be posting on a rather limited basis, but I’m OK and intend to get back into harness when I get things put right. Keep on fightin’, keep smilin’, and don’t give up. The plug-uglies aren’t the only game in town…

22 April 2017. The Computer is Dead! Long Live the Computer!

Well, our computer gave up the ghost on Thursday night. On Friday, Nicky went out to Best Buy and picked up another machine. It’s much like the other one, but it has more RAM and much more memory. The old one had 500 gigs of storage… this one has 900 gigs, and I have a 900 gig external drive hooked up. My images and docs were on the external drive, so I lost none of them. That’s a tip a geekly friend passed on to me, and I pass it on to you… it’ll save you much grief if you have to change machines. Everything’s ready without any poking and probing.

The cat’s back and ready to rumble…

21 February 2017. Update on Constantine’s Condition

00 Alla Dobroskikh. Grandma's Prayer. 2008

I have good news to report. Nicky’s brother Gregory (who’s a deacon at the famous St John the Baptist parish in Mayfield PA) told us that Constantine is now out of hospital and is recovering at home. He’s not completely well yet and still needs your prayers… we’re Christians; that’s what we do.

Remember, to pray for those “of the house” isn’t only a duty, it’s a positive good, not only for those we pray for but for us, too.

Your yoke is easy and your burthen is light
