Ex-Finance Minister sez the Ukraine Already in Default

00 Grivnya down the hatch. 21.02.15

______________________________

On Saturday, ex-Ukrainian Finance Minister V M Pinzennik admitted that since the Ukrainian government is trying to restructure the state debt, it means that it’s already in default. Pinzennik, now a Rada Peoples Deputy (Vitaly Klitchko’s UDAR bloc), said on Kiev-based TV outlet 112 Ukraina, “Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko botched negotiations with creditors, but even if she hadn’t, this wouldn’t stave off the inevitable. I think that the main problem that the Ukraine now faces is the cause of the current economic crisis. Restructuring the debt won’t solve the main problem, which is the budget deficit. Everyone believes that by restructuring the debt we’d solve all our problems. I don’t think so. The main trouble is that this country spends more than it earns”.

Don’t Mess With Uncle Sam: USA in Total Control of Ukrainian Government

00 Igor Kolga. The Ukrainian Government. 2014

______________________________

Ukrainian Prime Minister A P Yatsenyuk announced that he’d propose a new list of cabinet ministers in September for the Verkhovnaya Rada to approve. Rada Deputies said that all future personnel decisions must go through the US Embassy in Kiev. RBK Ukraine reported that Rada Peoples Deputy Nikolai Tomenko said, “We notice that the Americans rate our [Ukrainian] ministers. We understand that amongst those who please the US government are Natalie Jaresko (American investment banker and current Finance Minister), Minister of Economic Development Aivaras Abromavicius, Minister for Agriculture and Food Aleksei Pavlenko (who promised to privatise public land), and Minister of Infrastructure Andrei Pivovarsky. American and European businesses have interests, and they don’t hide them”. According to a staffer of a Ukrainian minister, US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt regularly visits the offices of Kiev politicians. The source told RBK, “Ambassador [Pyatt] took out his notes and told us the things that we had to do in a stern tone, then, my boss briefly told him what we’ve done so far”. American lobbyists also regularly visit the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers. Martin Nunn, CEO of Whites Communication, constantly hangs around the Rada. Most expect that September will be hot for the Rada. In addition to Yatsenyuk’s expected announcement of a new cabinet ministers list, the Rada will vote on new constitutional amendments, including federalisation of the Ukraine and special autonomous status for the LNR and DNR.

Zakharchenko sez Poroshenko Signed Law Glorifying UPA Because He Fears Galician Nationalists

00 a v zakharchenko. 01. 11.05.15

______________________________

DNR Chairman of the Government A V Zakharchenko told us that Poroshenko signed an anti-communist and pro-nationalist law because he and his junta fear Nazis and nationalists, saying, “The current deputies, ministers, and ‘President’ of the Ukraine are simply afraid of the Nazis and thugs that they brought in via the Maidan. They’re afraid that [the Nazis] will kick them out of their luxury villas and offices. Signing this law is nothing but a sop to the Nazis, done out of fear to appease them. This law considers heroes those who hung children on telegraph poles with barbed wire and who slaughtered tens of thousands of Poles… what do you think is the future of a country that does that? Such a country doesn’t have a future. It’s on the verge of disunity and chaos. They make executioners into heroes. In Donetsk, we wouldn’t allow such a thing. We have our perspective, and we aren’t ashamed of it”.

Last night, Poroshenko signed the law “On the Legal Status and Honouring the Memory of Fighters for Ukrainian Independence in the 20th Century”, which recognised the OUN and UPA as “Ukrainian freedom fighters in the country”. At the same time, he signed a law banning the use of the term “Great Patriotic War” in the Ukraine. The Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) was a fascist integral nationalist group operating mostly in the western Ukraine. To achieve its goal of creating an “independent” Ukraine, the OUN resorted to extremism, including terrorism. It had an intense deep-seated anti-Polish, anti-Soviet, and anti-Semitic orientation. During the Great Patriotic War, the OUN cooperated with Nazi German intelligence against the Soviet government. In 1943, it organised the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). The OUN gave active support to the formation of the Waffen-SS Volunteer Division Galizien. According to scholars, the UPA killed at least a million people, including about 200,000 Poles.

Polish Cosmonaut Hermaszewski: Impossible to Recognise UPA and OUN Killers as “Heroes”

monument-to-poles-killed-by-the-upa

Monument to the Poles murdered by UPA terrorists in the VOV… oh, the Galician Uniate nationalists deny that it happened… do tell that to the Poles from the Kresy…

_______________________________

The Verkhovnaya Rada’s recognition of OUN-UPA militants as “fighters for Ukrainian independence” deeply shocked Mirosław Hermaszewski, the first Polish cosmonaut. The UPA brutally murdered 18 of his family members during the Volyn massacre. On 9 April, the Verkhovnaya Rada adopted a law, “On the Legal Status and Honouring the Memory of Fighters for Ukrainian Independence in the 20th Century”, authored by Yuri-Bogdan Shukhevich {a relative of one of the most murderous terrorists: editor}. The law included the OUN and UPA in the list of organisations fighting for Ukrainian independence.

Polish President Bronisław Maria Komorowski said that official recognition of the OUN and UPA as “fighters for independence” might adversely affect Polish-Ukrainian relations, saying, “The misfortune of this law is that it makes it impossible for a Polish-Ukrainian historical dialogue, without which there’s no reconciliation and no way of addressing important issues. The case isn’t closed, if we’re talking about relations between Poland and the Ukraine, but we should seek a positive outcome”. In turn, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Grzegorz Juliusz Schetyna didn’t consider the Rada’s recognition of the OUN and UPA activities a threat to Warsaw.

To find out how Poles thought about the Rada’s glorification of the OUN and UPA, our correspondent interviewed the first Polish cosmonaut, General Mirosław Hermaszewski . During the VOV, his father, Roman Germashevsky, was one of the leaders of the Polish self-defence group in Lipniki (Kostopil County in Wołyń Voivodeship, now Bereznovsky Raion of Rovno Oblast). In March 1943, UPA thugs and assorted gangsters from neighbouring Ukrainian villages burnt down the village, killing part of the Polish population, including some of the family of the future cosmonaut… the UPA stabbed his grandfather seven times with a bayonet in the chest. In August 1943, a neighbour of the family, a Ukrainian nationalist, killed his father.

How does Poland react to the Ukrainian law recognising OUN and UPA militants as “fighters for independence”?

Mirosław Hermaszewski

I usually never talk to reporters on the phone, but I’ll answer this question… I’m shocked that such a thing could happen. How can those who killed, and all are they aware that they’re terrorists, how can you make them heroes? I have many friends, Ukrainians, who’re now ashamed that it happened.

Drugova

Pan Mirosław, your family suffered from the actions of Ukrainian nationalists. For you, it’s also a personal tragedy…

Hermaszewski

My whole family lived in the east. They killed my father, killed my grandfather… they killed 18 of my family in terrible ways. These “heroes” killed my family with axes and knives. Here are heroes for you! How can anyone accept them as heroes?

Drugova

Shall these laws may affect the relations between our peoples?

Hermaszewski

I have many Ukrainian friends; I love the Ukrainian culture and people. The fact is that we had scary things happen in the past… it’s terrible. This simply shows you how some people deal with the past… “We didn’t do it”. Why did they do that… I don’t know. Why the Ukraine did it, I find difficult to understand. We helped the Ukraine; our country was the first to recognise its independence. Poles supported the Ukrainians, as you acknowledge, in response, they named killers “heroes”.

Editor:

Reflect on this… Ukrainian nationalists lie up and down, claiming that the Volyn massacres never occurred… I’m NOT kidding you! You can believe the Ukrainian nationalists or you can believe those whose family members died at the hands of Ukrainian nationalists. If you support the Ukrainian nationalist liars, you’re on the hell-bound train, and there’s no more to say on this topic…
