8 April 2018. It’s Here… The Holiest of Holy Days for Orthodox Christians

It’s here. This day defines what we are as Orthodox Christians. As the Apostle wrote:

If Christ be not risen from the dead, your faith is in vain.

If you don’t confess this in your heart of hearts, you’re no Christian, no matter how many pro-life placards you wave, how many guns you own, how many Republicans you vote for, or how many “faggots” you’ve hated and scorned. If Christ be risen truly in your heart, people know it. Trust me, if He isn’t, people know that too. Follow real Christians like HH, who was friends with Comandante Fidel and is friends with Comrade Zyuganov and the rocker Kostya Kinchyov. He spends his holidays with the homeless, sick, and imprisoned. Now, there’s a Christian with the Risen Christ in his heart… may we do likewise! Say it loud:

Христосъ воскресе!

Воистинну воскресе!

This is why we believe and continue to believe. Stay focused, stay the course, and stand firm. The plug-uglies can’t win as long as we face forward and keep on truckin’. Take my hand… the road does twist, turn, and have its bumps and furrows…

I’m not a theologian nor do I speak for the Church. This is my opinion, full stop. You can agree or not, as you will. I refuse to take the tone of all-too-many ignorant semi-Prod konvertsy blowhards on the Net.

If you were to ask me the central fact of our Faith, I’d vote for the Incarnation. Without the Incarnation, there’s no Resurrection… without the Resurrection, there’s no Redemption. If the Apostle told us, “If Christ be not risen from the dead, your faith is in vain”, never forget that without the Incarnation, there’d be no Resurrection. These truths trump EVERYTHING else… that’s why we must care for the Incarnation of Christ on Earth, the Church… the defence of the Orthosphere, the Holy Church, and Christians trumps everything else. Do think on that. The Nativity is, pre-eminently, a feast of the Resurrection… without it, we’d have NO salvation. Christ IS born!

14 April 2015. Elder Iona of Odessa Made Prophecies About Three Easters… Two Have Been Spot-On…

Elder Iona of Odessa prophesied that the Easter after his death would be an Easter of blood… such was so. He prophesied that the next Easter after that would be an Easter of hunger… such was so. He prophesied that the Easter after that would be an “Easter of Victory”… may God grant us that, in full. May Holy Rus see peace… in all honour and dignity, with all enemies chased away from its borders.

14 April 2015. It Was Just an “Ordinary” Parish Easter in PA…

We’ve all heard the slick professional “performances” of the Easter liturgy… well, here’s a clip from a real-deal parish in PA. THIS is what most of us got for Easter… we’re right satisfied, to say the least. The older that I get, the less “fussy” I am about details (to the point where I know it’d drive one younger friend in particular to the bottle… the devil isn’t in the details, dear). I’m happy to have the liturgy, no matter how I can get it…

Christ IS risen from the dead… as the Apostle said, our faith is NOT in vain…
