Today,Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) was the first DNR educational institution awarded the prestigious Academician V P Glushko International Prize. The son of the prominent scientist, Major General A V Glushko, handed over the award to A Ya Anoprienko, DonNTU Rector. General Glushko spoke about the DonNTU’s achievements, “It’s one of the most-recognised higher institutes in the SNG due to its compelling research in hundreds of projects for a variety of industries, from geology and metallurgy to mechanical engineering and mining. Even in wartime, in fact under conditions of blockade, it still pays special attention to promote science and technology”. In turn, Rector Anoprienko said, “DonNTU has received the first Academician V P Glushko International Prize. In time, the award will go to leading scientists, artists, and pilot-cosmonauts. We’ll do our best to continue research in our school, to train and develop higher-education science”. DNR Minister of Education and Science Igor Kostenok congratulated DonNTU’s students and faculty, “Today, the DNR is emerging. It’s important for us not only survive, but to develop systematically. In this, our foremost assistants are scientists and higher science, which since Soviet times were amongst the top ranks. We should undertake the most serious study. Awarding such high honours… that’s the best way to do it”.

The International Academy of Spiritual Unity of the People of the World UNESCO “For the Promotion of Science in Literature” established the Academician V P Glushko International Prize in 2005. Over the next eight years, the Academy gave out the award, but there are no records of who received it and what they received. This was due to the lack of a legal basis, as well as financial difficulties. After 2013, due to the efforts of the St Petersburg Foundation for Support of Education and Science, the Prize became official.

V P Glushko (1908-89) was a Soviet engineer and scientist specialising in rocket and space technology and was a pioneer in liquid rocket engines. Beginning in 1974, he became director and general designer of NPO Energiya, which designed the 11K25 Energiya booster-rocket/MTKK Buran reusable space shuttle system. He became Academician of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and the USSR, twice winner of the State Prize of the USSR, and twice Hero of Socialist Labour.

The Biter Bit! India has the Last Laugh on the New York Times… US Free Market Rocket Blows Up on Launch Pad… but the Affluent Effluent Got their Gelt!

Read this. India had the last laugh… that’s the best kind. Oh, the rocket that blew up on the launching pad was a commercial “free market” rocket… they’re inferior to NASA rockets, dontcha know… but you can be sure that the Affluent Effluent glommed their cut (you can rest assured that legerdemain added at least 20 percent to the cost… after all, they have wetback nannies and gardeners to pay and their country club dues are in arrears…). One last thing… most American rockets nowadays depend on Russian-made motors… I just thought that you’d like to know that. That’s on top of American cosmonauts having to hitch rides to the ISS on Russian Soyuz craft… the soulless GOP thieves spent all the space research money on torture, the Gitmo Gulag, warmongering in foreign parts, padded expense accounts for congressmen, TSA groping, NSA spying, bloated weapons contracts in Ted Cruz’s district, and excessive imprisonment in the USA. Fancy that…

22 September 2014. American Cosmonauts Have to Go into Space on Russian Spaceships

Art and our study of it, and faith and religion, are eternal, and as long as mankind lives, it will have a keen yearning to probe deeper into the essence of it all.

The penetration of primitive Western religious notions into our lives is a phenomenon extremely dangerous to Russian culture. A country that has given much to world culture (remember Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov, and many others), is transformed into a place where American scum congregate. Therefore, in this regard, one can understand the French, who protect their culture and language, and the Chinese, who decided to prevent the “Westernisation” of their society. Unfortunately, today, our culture and morality have become something of secondary importance, and all this is more and more worrying… it appears that people have lost their consciences. There’s a new “truism” in our lives… knocking out the maximum profit by any means, but that leads to the death of moral evaluation, ethical behaviour, and principled motivation for actions, without which, a healthy society can’t exist.

The Soyuz TMA-14M crew is cosmonauts Aleksandr Samokutyayev, Yelena Serova, and American Barry Wilmore, who stand by a model of the Soyuz-FG rocket at the Baikonur Space Centre in Kazakhstan. Note well that American cosmonauts have to go into space on Russian craft, as the USA wasted its money on useless wars, giveaways to the Affluent Effluent, and a bloated prison and police system (the USA is the Prison House of All the Nations by per capita count, by the way). This puts a different face on the rants of Rich Lowry, George Will, Patrick Buchanan, and Rod Dreher, doesn’t it? Americans have to ride Russian spacecraft to the cosmos so that the USA can pretend that it’s the SOLE SUPERPOWER. Now, kids, THAT’S an unmitigated crock o’ shit…

Puts a new light on “sanctions”, doesn’t it?

On 2 July, a Proton-M transport rocket, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodromefailed a minute after lift-off. Over the past two and a half years, this is the seventh failed Russian space launch. See our infographic for the specifications of the Proton-M rocket. The Proton-M heavy-duty Launch Vehicle (LV) is designed to launch an unmanned spacecraft into Earth orbit and then into space. The Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre developed the vehicle, which Roskosmos uses to launch Russian and foreign government and commercial spacecraft. Proton-M is the workhorse of the Russian space programme; at present, it’s carrying the GLONASS satellite system and Ekpress communications satellites, which will provide coverage all over Russia. Read more >> For now, Proton-M launches are on hold, after two or three days, it’ll be clear what happened to the rocket. Indeed, it’s a fairly straightforward and well-proven piece of equipment. A space programme source said, “It’s clear that it wasn’t a glitch with the rocket; it was human error”.
