8 March 2017. Finding of the Relics of St Matrona the Blessed of Moscow

The wonder-working power of Matrona of Moscow was directly due to her suffering, to the endurance of her anguish as she bore her salvific and life-giving cross. May the Lord help us all; call upon the Holy Righteous Matrona, ask for her aid in solving your life’s problems. At the same time, ask her to fill your heart and your mind with the power of her example, with the understanding of what it means for you to carry the cross that God imposes on you.

On 8 March 1998, Patriarch Aleksei Ridiger of Moscow and all the Russias authorised the uncovering of the relics of St Matrona Nikonova the Blessed of Moscow. This is the second holy day for this saint (the other is on 2 May, the date of her death). Today, her relics are in the Pokrovsky Stavropegic Convent in Moscow… one can venerate them every day from 07.00 until 20.00… on Sunday, the relics open for veneration at 06.00. Thousands of people daily come to Matrona to venerate her relics. Easily, she’s one of the most “popular” saints in Moscow. The fact that International Women’s Day and this holy day of St Matrona coincide is a coincidence, but a happy one.

22 August 2016. What are Martyrs?

The 21 Coptic Martyrs of Libya are true Martyrs in the Church sense. That is, they died precisely because they were Christians and they showed great courage and endurance until the end. The Royal Passionbearers aren’t Martyrs… the Church rejects that. The Imperial Family didn’t die because they were Christians… they died because they were the Imperial Family. Passionbearers are those who suffer an unjust death at the hands of enemies and who show Christian forbearance unto the end. There is no “ranking” involved in being a Martyr or a Passionbearer. They’re equal. However, the terms recognise a difference in the objective reality of how the subject met their death. In the one case, they died because they were Christian. In the other, they met an unjust death in a Christian manner. It’s clear to all but the most pigheaded rightwing apologist that the Imperial Family didn’t die for the Faith… they died as they were representatives of a particular social and political order. To call them Martyrs is to blaspheme Martyrdom and spit on the Church’s Judgement.

Martyrdom is what it is… the Imperial Family aren’t Martyrs (it’s equally true that Lenin didn’t order their deaths… ROCOR rightwing lies to the contrary notwithstanding). Have a care… there are charlatans and poseurs afoot…

Fr Nikolai Balashov Believed that the Words Attributed to an EP Bishop about the Canonical Status of the Ukraine were Just “Journalistic Fiction”

The MP doesn’t believe that EP Archbishop Iov Gecha stated that the Ukraine was the EP’s canonical territory. Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, Deputy Chairman of the MP Synodal Department of External Church Relations (OVTsS) said:

Archbishop Job is highly educated and expert in canon law; I can’t believe that he’d really claim, “The Ukraine is the canonical territory of the Church of Constantinople”. Such a statement is contrary to historical truth, as well as the official position of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, confirmed many times. Furthermore, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople sent an official notification to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all the Russias that Archbishop Iov would be visiting Kiev.

The well-known Ukrainian sectarian activist Sandeya Adeladzhi, of the Embassy of God cult, a supporter of the schismatics, released the interview with the mentioned statement. It also appeared on the Religious Information Service of the Ukraine (RISU) website, a Uniate-backed enterprise. Don’t forget that the head Uniate recently slandered Orthodox Christians… his fellow Ukrainian citizens. Vladyki Iov took part in services in Kiev at the personal invitation of Metropolitan Onufry Berezovsy of Kiev and all the Ukraine. I think that demonstrates whom the EP recognises as the only canonical Church jurisdiction in the Ukraine.

Journalists “tarted up” the facts; they published them without a twinge of conscience. Any road, attempts to deny the legitimacy of the reunification of the Kiev Metropolia with the MP are more journalistic fiction than a solemn statement of the Orthodox hierarchy. In any case, it’s absolutely devoid of both historical truth and canonical reason. Ecumenical Patriarch Dionysios IV and 21 of his Metropolitans signed the Conciliar Gramota of 1686, all the Eastern Patriarchs recognised it, and no one ever questioned it over the centuries.

A View of the Great March for Peace and Reconciliation in the Ukraine

In the above image, we see two priests from the two columns of the great march for peace and reconciliation in the Ukraine. Fr Ioasaf led pilgrims from Svyatogorsk Lvara and Fr Viktor came from the Pochaev Lavra. Together with them are two 11-year-old girls, Margarita from Kramatorsk and Feodotiya from Rovno. Margarita walked 700 kilometres, and Feodotiya came 400 kilometres. All this time, “Ukrainian” media and social networks poured out filth upon them, spouting hatred and slander, generated by fear. One understands that such slanderers lied about hundreds of “Kremlin agents” and weapons caches. Not one of them responded normally… nationalist activists, state officials, and other scum tried to move people with new lies. However, we’ve breached the media blackout. Now, we can see the motivation and the fruits of the actions of all the players. People are waking up.
