5 March 2017. Why Do the Republicans Hate Syria and Decent Muslims? Why Do They LOVE the KSA and Radical Islamists?

The Neoliberals (both “liberals” and “conservatives” alike) hate decent Muslim lands like Syria and support radical anti-Christian Islamists like the KSA. The Democrats are bad in this, but the Repugs are far worse. They kiss the naked ass of the Saudis for all to see, in the most humiliating ways possible. The USA refuses to stick up for the rights of the Christian “guest workers” in the KSA. IT REFUSES… so all the Repug talk of helping Christians in the Middle East is bootless and airy propaganda for the stupid and credulous. If one doesn’t stand up for the oppressed Christians in the KSA, then, one is a hypocritical poseur if one screams about “persecuted Christians in the Middle East”.

Don’t forget… the neoliberals (both Dems and Repugs) supported and abetted the terrorist Bin Laden… they both attacked Libya and Iraq for no cause whatsoever (except for the fact that Iraq and Libya were socialist states that gave their oil wealth to the people, not American fatcat oligarchs). Now, they want you to hate Syria for no good reason. Don’t fall for it.

Seize Saudi Oil, Solve World Problems

Donald Trump didn’t ban travellers from the KSA. It tells you something about him… and his clique, too. They scream about terrorism… and don’t ban those from the foremost terrorist-enabling state in the world. It only deepens the impression that Trump’s supporters in the general population are brain-damaged and ignorant. If you wish to fight terrorism, then, you’d fight the states that support it most. I’d say that’s the KSA and the Gulf states… none of which is on Trump’s list.

None dare call it stupid…

Would you like to know how the USA could virtually eliminate global Islamic terrorism and world hunger with one stroke?

Seize the oil wells of Saudi Arabia.

If this sounds preposterous and unethical… “the USA doesn’t go on the offensive and it certainly doesn’t ‘steal’ other peoples’ natural resources, especially its allies!”… consider some facts:

First, anyone who sees the Islamic State (ISIS) as a cancer on earth that needs to be eradicated… most Americans, including US President Donald Trump, do… must also see the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in similar terms.  For the desert kingdom enforces the same kind of Islam that ISIS does… with all the religious intolerance, beheadings, crucifixions, mutilations, and misogyny we associate with terrorists.

Worse, the KSA spends a whopping 100 billion dollars (5.893 billion Roubles. 687.56 billion Renminbi. 6.735 trillion INR. 131.09 billion CAD. 130.36 billion AUD. 93.37 billion Euros. 80.24 billion UK Pounds) annually… trillions over the decades… to support and spread the vilest form of Islam (Wahhabism/Salafism) around the world. The KSA funds virtually all radical literature, radical mosques, radical websites, and radical satellite programs… all of which create radical Muslims. In other words, if you trace the “radicalisation” of Muslims… including formerly good neighbours and colleagues that suddenly got pious, grew a beard or donned a veil, and then went on a shooting spree, or “martyred” themselves in a suicide attack… Saudi money will almost always be at the end of the line.

It gets worse still… the Islamic kingdom isn’t only the chief exporter of radical ideologies; it’s also the chief financier and material supporter of the worst terrorist groups. ISIS and al-Qaeda wouldn’t exist without Saudi and other Gulf largesse. So, how is the KSA able to fuel this multifaceted and global jihad? It does so entirely from the oil reserves beneath the Arabian Peninsula. Now, in a fair world, surely the Saudis should keep the natural resources of Arabia… even if it was the West that discovered and created the technology to use oil. However, when they openly use that wealth to spread hate, turmoil, terrorism, and the slaughter of innocents around the world, surely the international community can justifiably respond… in this case, by seizing the weapon from out their hands, that is, the oil wells.

Some may argue that, whatever the merits of this argument, there’s no way the US leadership could sell such a war to the American people. Actually, they could… very easily; and all they’d have to do is tell the American people the truth for a change. Remember, the establishment has already behaved more “spectacularly”, including by going on the offensive against several Arab rulers… in Iraq, Libya, and now Syria. In every case, the real motives for war were/are hidden from the public, probably because they didn’t and don’t serve American interests (hence, why ISIS is now entrenched in “liberated” Iraq, “liberated” Libya, and still-being-“liberated” Syria). All the US leadership and media had to do was to portray Saddam, Gaddafi, and Assad as “monsters” persecuting their own people. That was enough for most Americans to agree to the waging of these wars, if not heartily support them.

In the case of Saudi Arabia, the establishment wouldn’t have to deceive the public… the Saudi régime is a monster. As in ISIS-held territories, women in the KSA are little better than chattel; it persecutes and sometimes executes blasphemers, apostates, and homosexuals; all non-Sunnis… from Hindus to Shia… are subhuman infidels and it treats them accordingly; it closes house churches and it confiscates and destroys Bibles and crucifixes, and it throws Christians caught worshipping in private in jail and tortures them. The KSA is arguably even more backwards than ISIS is… women can still drive in Mosul and Raqqa, whereas they’re forbidden in the KSA; and the Saudi government has its own special department devoted to tracking down and executing witches and warlocks.

Nor is Saudi savagery confined to the Peninsula. The KSA régime once issued a fatwa, or Islamic-sanctioned decree, still available online for all to see, calling on the world’s Muslims to hate all non-Muslims (meaning more than 99 percent of Americans; such is how “our good friend and ally” really feels about us).

KSA Determined to Crash Oil Prices Until American Shale Oil Breathes Its Last

russia-oil

______________________________

American-German economic researcher and historian F William Engdahl observed that never in its wildest dreams did the Obama administration expect that it’d face a financial disaster after it conspired with Riyadh to drop oil prices and flood the market with cheap petroleum, trying to rerun the highly successful American-Saudi deal of 1986 that weakened the USSR. Although it wasn’t  not made public, on 11 September 2014 US Secretary of State John Kerry and King Abdullah concluded a secret deal to use Saudi “oil muscle” to bring Russia and the Kremlin to its knees. Remarkably, on the very next day, the US Treasury’s aptly-named Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, headed by Treasury Under-Secretary David Cohen imposed new sanctions on Russia’s energy companies Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Lukoil, Surgutneftgas, and Rosneft and prohibited American oil corporations from participating in Russian offshore oil projects in the Arctic. Engdahl said, with a touch of irony, “Then, just as the rouble was rapidly falling and Russian major corporations were scrambling for dollars for their year-end settlements, a collapse of world oil prices would end Putin’s reign. Clearly, that was the thinking of the hollowed-out souls who pass for statesmen in Washington today. Victoria Nuland was jubilant, praising the precision new financial warfare weapon at David Cohen’s Treasury financial terrorism unit”.

Meanwhile, nothing hinted at any trouble in July 2014… West Texas Intermediate traded at 101 USD (6,460 Roubles. 627 Renminbi. 6,440 INR. 133 CAD. 136 AUD. 92 Euros. 65 UK Pounds) a barrel, and Engdahl noted, “The shale oil bonanza was booming, making the USA into a major oil player for the first time since the 1970’s”. However, when WTI slid to 46 USD (2,940 Roubles. 286 Renminbi. 2,930 INR. 60 CAD. 62 AUD. 42 Euros. 30 UK Pounds) per barrel in January 2015, American strategists suddenly realised that they’d cut their own throat. Indeed, “the over-indebted US shale oil industry” was about to breathe its last because of the plummeting oil price. Although Washington and Wall Street made every effort to artificially stabilise the dire situation (resulting in a slowly rising oil price since February to May, when it hit 62 USD (3,970 Roubles. 385 Renminbi. 3,950 INR. 82 CAD. 84 AUD. 57 Euros. 40 UK Pounds) per barrel), the American political and financial élite underestimated the Saudi factor’s importance.

Engdahl said, “Reportedly, al-Naimi [the Saudi Oil Minister] saw a golden opportunity in the Kerry proposal to use the chance to, at the same time, kill off the growing market challenge from the rising output of the unconventional American shale oil industry. Often, al-Naimi said that he’s determined to eliminate the American shale oil ‘disturbance’ to Saudi domination of world oil market”. Alas, the Saudis are very unhappy with Washington’s shale oil advance and the Iranian nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration with Tehran. Engdahl emphasised, “In fact, the Saudis are beside themselves with rage against Washington. This has all added up to an iron Saudi determination, aided by close Gulf Arab allies, to further crash oil prices until the expected wave of shale oil company bankruptcies. On 29 July 2015, WTI fell to 49 USD (3,140 Roubles. 305 Renminbi. 3,130 INR. 65 CAD. 66 AUD. 45 Euros. 32 UK Pounds)”.

Morgan Stanley, the Wall Street bank, reported in panic, “We anticipated that OPEC wouldn’t cut, but we didn’t foresee such a sharp increase. This downturn would be more severe than that in 1986. As there was no sharp downturn in the 15 years before that, the current downturn could be the worst of the last 45+ years. If this were to be the case, there would be nothing in our experience that would be a guide to the next phases of this cycle… in fact, there may be nothing in analysable history”. What makes matters even worse for Washington, is that Saudi Arabia, its longstanding and subservient ally, has begun to play its own geopolitical games. On 18 June 2015 Muhammad bin Salman, the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defence Minister and son of King Salman visited Russia and met with  President V V Putin. The parties discussed up to 10 billion USD (640 billion Roubles. 62.07 billion Renminbi. 637.48 billion INR. 13.14 billion CAD. 13.48 billion AUD. 9.12 billion Euros. 6.46 billion UK Pounds) trade deals.

Engdahl remarked, “Today, Saudi Arabia is the world’s largest oil producer and Russia a close second. A Saudi-Russian alliance on whatever level was hardly in the strategy book of Washington State Department planners”. Engdahl went on to say, “October 2015 is the next key point for American shale oil companies… banks will decide whether to keep funding fading American shale oil production or rollover their loans. At the same time, if the Federal Reserve raises American interest rates in September, highly indebted American shale oil manufacturers would face “disaster of a new scale”. Unfortunately, such a “doomsday” scenario may be accompanied with further unintended consequences for American and global financial system. Indeed, as a proverb says, “Curses, like chickens, come home to roost.”

Syriac Orthodox Bishop Issues Appeal to Publicise the Plight of the Innocent People of Qalamoun

00 The face of the Syrian opposition. 27.10.13

______________________________

For four days, villages under siege by jihadist rebels from the Saudi-backed group Jaysh al-Islam went without food, medicines, electricity, and communications. Syriac Orthodox Bishop Silwanos Boutros Naameh called for a humanitarian corridor to the besieged communities, urging the besiegers to show some “mercy”. Bishop Silwanos appealed on behalf of the 3,000 residents of Sadad and Hofar, in the Qalamoun region (An-Nabk District, in Rif Dimashq Governorate in western Syria, near Lebanon), asking that the rebels spare and relieve them from the current siege, to allow them to move to safe places near Homs. He asked that all major religious leaders and all heads of state, as well as all men of good will, to raise their voices so that the rebel besiegers would allow the residents, stuck in their homes without food or medicine, to escape the siege. The Qalamoun area is under the control of Islamist insurgents from Jaysh al-Islam, led by Zahran Alloush, backed financially and militarily by Saudi Arabia. The Jihadist rebels want to control the Beqaa Valley and the lines of communication between Homs and Damascus, therefore, occupying Qalamoun is the first phase of their new offensive against the Syrian Army and the Lebanese Hezbollah. We publish Mar Silwanos’ appeal, calling on everyone to spread it as widely as possible.

******

To all humanitarian and religious institutions and organisations, as well as to all people of good will, and to all humanitarians, I address this appeal for all the people under siege in areas that are now inaccessible, which they can’t leave, and which we can’t reach. They live in the villages of Sadad and Hofar, in the Qalamoun area in Syria. I write this so that you might appeal to the besiegers, as they’ve not allowed local residents to leave, that they might agree to talks to facilitate the safe departure of the residents, in any direction, either towards the Convent of al-Attieh or towards Homs, where we could succour them. I implore all those with influence and all those in contact with the warring parties to put pressure on and negotiate with the besiegers, passing on this request for the safe release of the captive residents, even though most of them haven’t yet suffered mistreatment.

These people were under siege for the past four days without electricity and water, or means of communication. They have little food. Amongst them, there are children who need milk and sick people who need medicines. Around 3,000 people live in the beleaguered communities. Their besiegers aren’t letting them leave their homes. Indeed, they put pressure on them to stay put, despite having held talks with them. We call on all organisations, on all the children of our Church scattered throughout the world, to give aid and active support. Help us! Work with us prudently, without making statements that could affect the safety of the besieged. Our people shall never forget. I repeat, reiterating our good intentions so as not to jeopardise the safety of our loved ones… please, post this appeal on your blogs and websites, send it to newspapers, magazines, and other media outlets. Send it also to all those who could play a positive role in finding a solution that would secure the residents’ release. For our part, in our mission, we repeat in God’s name, we call on the besiegers to show mercy to these innocent people, who aren’t responsible for this tragedy. Let them go safely and treat them well. We call upon God to give these innocent people patience, strength, hope, courage, health, and vigour.

Lord, Lord, Lord! Do NOT abandon them!

Editor’s Note:

Reflect on who backs the Saudis (and which political faction in the USA makes the most warmongering noise)… you’ll know what to do in November ’14. You’ll cast your vote against the Republican Party… this is what their “American Exceptionalism” has led to (do you want a repeat of Afghanistan, only worse?). It sickens me to no end…

The Christian people of Syria hang on the cross… and the Neocon Republicans and the Interventionist Democrats want to bomb, burn, and destroy (NOT build, aid, and feed) throughout the world (they don’t even want to help feed poor Americans, so, its natural that they wouldn’t want to help feed luckless foreigners). Something is horridly wrong with us, our political institutions, and our religion… we must either put it right or else. “We have met the enemy, and he is us“.
