Ukrainian synchronised swimmer Marina Golyadkina joined a Russian team. “F-Sport” reported that Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee (OKR) Anastasiya Davydova said, “She was from Donetsk, she had Ukrainian citizenship, but since August 2014 she trained in Russia under my guidance and will represent Russia in future”. Davydova pointed up that Golyadkina couldn’t be part of the Russian national team at the European Games in Baku, which start on 12 June. The International Swimming Federation issued a ban, despite no opposition from the Ukrainian side, as there’s a mandatory 12-month waiting period if an athlete changes their citizenship (this period will expire this August). According to Davydova, synchronised swimmer Marina Goldyadkina is a Master of Sport (International Class); she was a bronze medallist of the World Championship in 2013 in Barcelona and the winner of the European Cup.

9 July 2012. What a Day! I’m Glad It’s Over…

Well, this crazy day is over, thank the good God. I think that we can put things to bed (including me)… I only napped a couple of times last night to keep up with the news, and it’s catching up with me. However, it’s no time to relax… the day’s events actually raised more questions than they answered. Be sure of this… JP didn’t resign anything of importance. It was classic First Family Kabuki, and if you take it at face value… don’t say that I didn’t warn you. I fear that things will actually get WORSE for a bit…

As for you and me, besides exercising due care and vigilance to make sure that no First Family schauspieler makes off with any parish movables, it’s summer… as the above image indicates. It’s on the banks of the Yenisei River near Krasnoyarsk… a 30 degree (86 degrees Fahrenheit) day at the beach. Things aren’t really going to kick into gear until the autumn. Enjoy the summer. That’s why God made it…
