On Tuesday, the People’s Daily, the official mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, published a story on its website about North Korea‘s young leader, Kim Jong Un, being named by The Onion the “Sexiest Man Alive”. The newspaper described the organisation awarding the title as the “American website The Onion“, but didn’t mention that The Onion is a satirical outlet.
