At a media briefing today in Lugansk, DNR First Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Tourism (Minmolsporta) Aleksandr Gromakov invited LNR citizens to come to coastal resorts on the Sea of Azov shore after the war ends. He said that an agreement signed today in Lugansk between the LNR and DNR Minmolsportas provides for coöperation in tourism, saying, “We know that the LNR lacks a seacoast, but we do have one, and we invite all of our friends in the LNR to visit our seacoast resorts. Come to our Sea of Azov, not the Red Sea or the Black Sea. It has wonderful holiday spots; we have such places. Given the difficult situation, even on the part of the Sea that we occupy, we’ll have to wait until the situation comes back to normal. In the meantime, we’ll propose specific solutions, I think sometime this week. We’ll nail down tourist accommodation, and plan how our activity could help to realise this”.

LNR Minister for Family, Youth, Sports, and Tourism Stanislav Vinokurov explained that it’s is a kind of tourist barter, “We have, regardless of the fact that we lack a seacoast, many wonderful places worth visiting. We have historical and architectural monuments, along with natural landscapes. We should develop tourist destinations for domestic travellers. Of course, we considered issues of foreign tourism, not only foreign travel per se, but also contacts with our brothers from the DNR, which has places worth saying”.

Gramakov concluded by saying, “The DNR Minmolsporta is ready to implement joint tourism projects, we’re ready to talk, we can say, ‘Today, you come to us; tomorrow, we go to you”.

Local news website CdM reported that a man from Kazakhstan and a woman from the Ukraine, who were both on a bicycle tour across south Montenegro, were forced to spent a night in a tree saving to escape from a bear. On Thursday, police and residents of Virpazar went on a search and rescue mission after the two tourists used to their mobile to call a friend, saying that they were in a tree in a nearby forest hiding from a bear. The search lasted for several hours, complicated by the fact that the tourists’ mobile went dead, then, the cops decided to take a break. Ultimately, both travellers emerged safe and unhurt in Vilpazar on their bicycles. The website added that the Montenegrin government strongly advised tourists against travelling without a local guide in remote areas.
