A Plurality of Ukrainian Believers Belong to the UPTs/MP

A poll conducted by Ukrainian Sociology Service found that 67 percent of Ukrainians call themselves believers. The largest group of believers (39.4 percent) belong to the UPTs/MP. The self-proclaimed (uncanonical) Kiev Patriarchate had 25.3 percent, the Ukrainian Greek Catholics had 21.3 percent, and the uncanonical Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church had 4.6 percent. In addition, the Ukraine has 1.9 percent Muslims, 1.3 percent Pentecostals, 1.2 percent Baptists, 0.6 percent Roman Catholics, and 0.2 percent Jews. Over the past 13 years, the number of religious believers in the Ukraine significantly increased (50 percent in 2003 to 67 percent in 2016).

Editor:

Both the Uniates and so-called “Kiev Patriarchate” showed gains against the UPTs/MP, but as virtually all of these “gains” came about as the result of armed seizures by nationalist thugs since the American-fomented coup in 2014, the above figures are notional, to say the least. That is, the bulk of believers are still faithful to the canonical UPTs/MP… the Uniates and uncanonical schismatics will have a major deflation after the fall of the present pro-American fascist junta. May that day come soon, to cut short the suffering of the ordinary people (note well that the suffering doesn’t move the “Ukrainian” diaspora, nor does it move their political sugar-daddies such as McCain, Bolton, and Clinton… evil, isn’t it?).

10 August 2016. Here is What the Unia Truly Thinks of Us… Read n’ Heed, Orthodox People!

00 Uniate billboard ukraine russian orthodox 100816

“The Russian Church is the weapon of the occupiers. A Ukrainian Church for the Ukraine”… This is a Right Sector billboard… the local authorities got antsy and took it down, but it illustrates the true disposition of the Unia, its leaders, its terrorist stooges, and its American and Curial paymasters and puppeteers. No Orthodox Christian can have ANYTHING to do with the Unia, its clergy, or its official doings. If we were to do so, we’d be consorting with open enemies of Christ’s Church…

______________________________

We have quislings amongst us. Potapov and Paffhausen mingle with the Uniates… their rightwing political pals tell them to… God knows what they truly feel, but their public behaviour is a scandal to all. Vassa Larina and Freddie M-G schmooze with Uniates and stroke them like pets… Vassa is a mercenary (she does so to please her Jesuit paymasters at a Catholic university), whilst Freddie is merely stupid and uncaring (a typical Upper Middle suburban moralist). John Jillions used to work for the Uniates… he willingly took the Pope’s shilling, that gives you his measure. Lyonyo Kishkovsky is a “Paris is worth a mass” sort… he hobnobs with Uniates because his Establishment minders do, and he’s a slobbering obedient running dog of the Affluent Effluent (it allows him entry to all the “right” places).

Have a care… the Unia is a deception designed to fool the simple amongst us. However, most Uniates are blameless… they were born into it, and didn’t choose it, to be fair. Yet, whenever you hear those telling you to kiss up to Uniates, remember this image. It’s what they really think of us. HATE IS HATE… don’t feed it or collaborate with it… we’re Christians; that’s what we do…

MP is Going to Point Up Uniate Misbehaviour in its Dialogue with the Vatican

00 Uniate blasphemy. 12.03.15

This is a blasphemous Uniate “icon”… I need say nothing more… it’s depraved and utterly repulsive…

______________________________

The MP shall insist that dialogue with Roman Catholics include the problem of the Unia, especially, in light of harsh Uniate criticism of those taking part in the all-Ukrainian religious procession for peace and national reconciliation. On Tuesday, in Moscow, the MP Synodal Department for External Church Relations (OVTsS) released a statement saying (in part):

In view of the unprecedented belligerent rhetoric of S Yu Shevchuk (Major Archbishop of the UGKTs) and L Ya Guzar (former Uniate head) in relation to the canonical UPTs/MP and the MP as a whole, the OVTsS believes that its most urgent for us to bring up the subject of the canonical and pastoral implications of the Unia at the next plenary session of the Joint Commission for Orthodox-Catholic Dialogue.

The next session of the Commission will be on 15-22 September in Chieti (Italy). The all-Ukrainian religious procession for peace and national reconciliation took place from 3-27 July, with columns coming from both the east and west, ending in Kiev on the eve of the feastday of the Baptism of Rus (28 July). In all, about 100,000 Orthodox believers took part in the procession. Meanwhile, the opponents of the peace march claimed that it was really a political action. In particular, Shevchuk likened the procession to a “human shield made up of civilians”. He blustered, “If the marchers utter anti-Ukrainian slogans and provocations, it’d mark the end of the MP in the Ukraine”. In turn, former Uniate head Guzar said, “[The UPTs/MP march] is a vile trick. It’s cynical; you really can’t imagine anything worse”.

The OVTsS statement said:

From these hateful statements, it’s clear that canonical Orthodoxy remains the target of fierce attacks by Uniate leaders. For centuries, when possible, the Uniates tried to oppose Orthodoxy with assistance from friendly civil authorities, or, if not, they used various insinuations, frauds, and deceit. Today, once again, with their politicised statements, the Uniate leadership is trying to drive a wedge between Orthodox and Catholics. We wonder whether it’s possible to conduct a dialogue with Roman Catholics on other theological subjects at a time when the Unia remains a bleeding wound, and when the Uniate leadership won’t stop blasphemous and politicised rhetoric against the canonical UPTs/MP. Thus, immediately, we must resume dialogue on the canonical and pastoral implications of the Unia, stopped because of Uniate complaints.

Lvov Church Decorated With “Icon” of “Holy Punishers”

00 Lvov blasphemous icon. 05.04.15

______________________________

Images of soldiers wearing balaclavas with halos around their heads and guns in the hands shocked parishioners; a Lvov resident posted the image on her wall in a social network with the caption, “No comment”. Such” fine art” has become quite common in the Ukraine. In 2014, the artist Roman Bonchuk painted an “icon” of the “Heavenly Hundred”, which depicted Evromaidantsy activists killed in clashes with police. He painted it in the style of the Royal Doors of the iconostas with portraits of “Heavenly Hundred”. Bonchuk put the Mother of God and archangels over the portraits.Lyubomir Guzar, the former head of the UGKTs, blessed the artist and his work; Bonchuk had painted Gusar as part of the work.
