Syrian Rebels Seize Ancient Christian Town of Ma’loula

On Sunday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights watchdog and residents said that Syrian rebels took control of the ancient Christian town of Ma’loula, north of Damascus. Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said, “Overnight, Syrian government troops moved into the village, but rebel forces sent reinforcements and were able to take control of the entire town”. A resident of the town, reached by phone, also confirmed that government forces withdrew from the area and rebel forces were in control of Ma’loula.

Russian Forces on Heightened Alert

According to Deputy Minister of Defence Anatoly Antonov, the Russian Federation raised the combat readiness of the Central Command Post of the General Staff and the control centre for troops in Aerospace Defence due to missile tests in the Mediterranean. He called the region a powder keg and warned that if a fire starts there, “it may spread not only to neighbouring countries, but also to other regions of the world”. The launches in the Mediterranean Sea were part of joint tests between Israel and the USA. The first reported detection of two ballistic missile launches in the Eastern Mediterranean area came from the Minoborony. Antonov added that the Russian forces are closely monitoring everything that happens in the Mediterranean region.

2 July 2013. A Picture IS Worth a Thousand Words… THIS is Why Russians HATE War

This was an all-too-typical scene in Russia in the VOV. There was a massive amount of rebuilding necessary after the war; it was why Russians had “lower” living standards than Americans did. When you factor in the damage from World War I and the Civil War, why, what the Soviets did was nothing short of miraculous. They did beat the loudmouthed crapitalists into space, didn’t they?

THIS is why Russians hate war. Since the American homeland didn’t suffer in its foreign wars, the Republicans LOVE war. One attitude is human and understandable; the other is demonic and twisted. One wonders why Southerners vote Republican… their land was the only part of the USA ravaged by a major army… is racism and greed that important and central for them?

Oh, one last thing… the USA and the USSR were allies in World War II… both had socialistic systems that allowed them to mobilise society’s resources (human, economic, patriotic, and spiritual) to win the war against Hitler. Don’t attend to Republican historians… they lie… with malice aforethought. Never cease to ask “cui bono“…

6 May 2013. A Picture of the Nefarious DPRK… Watch Out for the Kid with the Balloon!

This is a family on the Pyongyang Metro… the image was taken by Russian tourists. It sure doesn’t look like the shit peddled by Washington, Langley, the Washington Times, and Fox News… what’s the kid gonna do? Hide a bomb in the balloon? Let’s keep it simple… the leadership of the DPRK noticed that the Americans leave people with “the bomb” alone. Ergo, they built some bombs. Look, the DPRK doesn’t have the industrial or financial oomph to build more than a few weapons. However, that’s all that they need. The Americans don’t want a nuke coming down on one of their bases in Japan or the ROK… and there’s no practical defence against modern MRBMs.

America is doing its best to demonise the DPRK. It’s not getting ready to go to war… however, can we say the same of Washington? After all, the corporate oligarchy’s failing, and wars in foreign parts are a classic dodge of clueless ruling classes. It’s a dangerous time… on the banks of the Potomac, not the Korean peninsula. Jim de Mint, one of the most feral of the American Right, recently resigned his Senate seat, commenting that the GOP couldn’t count on “angry white men” for much longer. That means that the Right’s in the deep kimchi… that’s dangerous. They won’t shuffle off quietly into the dark night. They’re the rouges, not the DPRK… God do help us.
