6 January 2018. Statista Infographic. Global Nuclear Arsenal on 17 February 2017

Both the Trumpkin Munchkins and the Clintonista Stepford Wives are raising a holy stink about the DPRK’s nuclear capability. Earth to neoliberal scumtickets:

The DPRK doesn’t have a significant nuclear capability. It doesn’t even have a minor nuclear capability. It has produced material for warheads, but intel proves that they don’t have enough for more than 10-20 low-yield weapons. It hasn’t produced a survivable re-entry vehicle for a tactical missile, let alone a MRBM or ICBM.

That is, Trump’s histrionics are nothing more but him taking out his gazoo and claiming, “My dick is bigger than your dick is!” The Clintonista clucking on the issue amounts to the same juvenile thing.  By the way… do note that the USA isn’t numero uno on this chart… Russia is. Hmm… Russia DOES have the DPRK’s back. The truth is an interesting thing, isn’t it?

A Lousy Shot: Ukrainian Army Complains About Shoddy US-Made Cartridges

RIA Novosti quoted Sergei Zgurets, chief editor of the Ukrainian magazine Defence Express, as saying that Ukrainian soldiers are unhappy with the quality of sniper cartridges purchased from the US firm SBR. The Ukraine uses the ammunition in the current Donbass conflict. Zgurets, for his part, cited a military source:

The  US cartridges’ quality leaves much to be desired. These bullets “devour” our sniper rifles’ barrels. This ammunition is worse in terms of accuracy than what we buy on our own. The cores of the armour-piercing bullets just crumble when they touch an armoured barrier.

Zgurets pointed up:

Earlier this year, the Ukraine purchased four varieties of US-made cartridges for different ammo calibres for several types of sniper rifles. However, it turned out that the ammunition isn’t sufficiently accurate, and only a few of the US bullets were capable of piercing a 6-millimetre steel plate in bulletproof jackets. Armour-piercing 12.7mm and 8.58-mm cartridges have characteristics worse than the Soviet B-32 cartridge of a smaller calibre.

He quoted military sources:

The copper level in the purchased ammunition is less than what’s required; it is something that makes the bullet more “resilient”, so the wear and tear on the sniper weapons’ barrels allows them to fire only about a thousand shots. To make things worse, the US cartridges proved to be non-waterproof, and if a liquid leaked into such a cartridge, its powder can become damp. As far as sniper ammunition is concerned, the Americans got the money, which should prompt Kiev to demand that the cartridges’ quality is on a par with the price tag.

In late March, Ukrainian Defence Minister S T Poltorak said that the Ukrainian forces are now in need of some types of ammunition. He said:

The Ukraine is planning to buy ammunition from our partners while we build munitions factories in our country.

Also in March, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that US President Donald Trump wouldn’t provide any information related to sending lethal defensive weapons to the Ukraine because he doesn’t want to undermine his own negotiating strategy. At present, US military assistance to Kiev is limited to supplying uniforms and equipment, including counter-battery radars, drones, and means of secure communication.

The interesting thing about Poltorak is that he’s not a real soldier… he was a cop who specialised in protecting politicians. No wonder the Ukrainian forces can’t shoot straight… they’re led by a man who never served in a real army and who spent much of his life as a glorified bodyguard.  Such is life, though…

5 June 2016. Yanks Unveil “New” Railgun… Too Bad It’s Impractical and a Energy Hog

01 Fat Uncle Sam

Read this. Well, well, well… this isn’t exactly the newest invention on the block. It first saw the light of day as a proposal during World War I… the various War Ministries of the combatants laughed at it as being a crank Heath Robinson affair. During World War II, various German nutters got through to Hitler with this idea… Speer shot it down by observing that, yes, it’d work, but it’d require a power station equal to that needed for a small city to power it. Now, it appears that the wonks have reduced the power required… but not by much. This gun requires a 25-megawatt generator to power it. To put it into perspective, the power-unit of the Eurostar high-speed train uses 12-megawatts (6-megawatts each of the two power-cars). Now, the Eurostar gets its power from a catenary wire, which wouldn’t be practical in the case of the railgun. The gun would need a diesel power-generator, which would use at least 8 tonnes of fuel per hour. That is, one railgun would require a large power unit, a large diesel generator unit, plus ordnance to fire. Yowza… it still ain’t very practical, is it? It couldn’t travel off-road… indeed, most such units would have to be in fixed locations to take advantage of power from ordinary civilian power stations.

In short, this is utter rubbish put out by the Yanks. They don’t have a worldbeater here… they have a turkey that rises up every now and again, it gobbles away, and the sane people shoo it away. Sad, ain’t it? The all-powerful Yanks are down to boasting about non-existent superweapons. It sounds a lot like the last days of the Third Reich, doesn’t it? Hmm… Trump and Chilly Hilly… taken together, those two have LESS of a grip on reality than Hitler did. Now, THAT’S scary…

George Zimmerman, Acquitted of Murdering Trayvon Martin, Arrested for Aggravated Assault

00 Politics. Zimmerman again. 02.01.14

Florida police arrested George Zimmerman, acquitted in the murder of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin, on an aggravated assault charge. Zimmerman had multiple encounters with the law in the last eighteen months since his acquittal. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said that they arrested 31-year-old Zimmerman in Lake Mary FL on Friday night; now, he’s at a local gaol. His scheduled court appearance is at 09.00 EST on Saturday. No further details were forthcoming on the arrest.

Friday’s arrest isn’t the first run-in Zimmerman had with the law since his acquittal. In November 2013, Zimmerman faced charges of aggravated assault with a weapon, domestic violence battery, and criminal mischief following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. Two months earlier, cops detained Zimmerman after his estranged wife called police, claiming that he’d threatened her and her father with a gun and punched her father in the face. In both cases, the alleged victims declined to press charges.

In 2005, Zimmerman’s ex-fiancée also filed a restraining order against him, alleging domestic violence, prompting him to file a reciprocal restraining order. The judge who presided over Zimmerman’s initial bond hearing called the 2005 incident “run of the mill”. In September 2014, Orlando FL Channel TV news reported that police said Zimmerman threatened to kill a driver during a road rage incident in Lake Mary, and he later showed up at the man’s workplace. The man claimed Zimmerman, who was carrying a gun, asked, “Do you know who I am?” before threatening, “I’ll fucking kill you”. The unidentified driver also opted not to press charges.

On 13 July 2013, a jury acquitted Zimmerman on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter after shooting Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old black teenager, dead in the streets of Sanford FL. Zimmerman, who was in a physical scuffle with Martin at the time of the shooting, claimed he acted in self-defence. The prosecution argued that Zimmerman racially profiled the unarmed teen and instigated the fight that led to the shooting. The incident sparked a national debate on race and self-defence laws, which led to the current “Black Lives Matter” protests across the USA.

Zimmerman acquitted of Trayvon Martin murder

George Zimmerman in police custody after gun-related incident

If Zimmerman had trouble with the law before the Martin Incident, why was he in the Neighbourhood Watch programme, and why did the Police Department involved wink at his carrying a gun (such things tend to get known rather quickly on the street)? Would Zimmerman have avoided serious slam time for these violent incidents if he’d been a black man? Perspirin’ minds wanna know…
