Carla del Ponte
The International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia should investigate the abductions of Kosovo Serbs by Albanian extremists and the selling of the abductees’ organs on the international black-market as set forth in a book by Carla del Ponte, the Tribunal’s former Counsellor for the Prosecution. This came in a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Yakovenko on the VESTI TV channel. He said the Foreign Ministry has officially asked the Tribunal whether it has reports in its possession about the crimes in question. Ms del Ponte’s book contains numerous accusations of the current leaders of the self-proclaimed Kosovo “republic” such as Hasim Taci and his former associate Ramush Haradinaj. The Hague-based Tribunal fully acquitted Mr Haradinaj of war crimes.
