In Zamora (Zamora Province. Castile and León Autonomous Region), in Northern Spain, members of the brotherhood “Cristo de la Buena Muerte” (Christ of the Good Death) make a penitential Holy Week procession. Lest their title be misunderstood, it means that the members believe that Christ is the enabler and sponsor of a “good death”, of a “good” passing into eternity… they don’t glorify or worship death by any means. This is obvious to all grounded Christians, but there’s so much contamination from pseudo-Christian Sectarian sources nowadays that I had to be more precise. The members are hooded so as not to excite sinful pride in the participants… that, too, is obvious to the grounded observer.
