Video. Gennady Zyuganov: “Jesus Christ was the First Communist”

Here is a 12-minute interview presented by Russia Today with Gennady Zyuganov, the head of the KPRF, overdubbed in English. It’s interesting to note that most contemporary communists are believers… as is Gennady Andreyevich. There is much sniping from Westerners (including ignorant konvertsy) that only a small proportion of believers in Russia are “active”. I decided to ask some RC priests of my acquaintance how many RCs are “active”… the answers were enlightening. Their replies were similar, “One in six are active and attend every week… the church is full to the gills on Christmas and Easter”. In other words, Orthodox levels of “active practise” in Russia don’t differ at all from the levels found in similar bodies in the West. Remember, only Sectarians have completely “committed” memberships… and reflect well that there are “Orthodox” who wish to import that contagion into the Church. We must fight that faction… or we shall lose the Church and become nothing but loud and clanging staroobraztsy (Old Ritualists)… people with an Orthodox exterior and a Sectarian soul. God save us from that.
