Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society to Create White Book Commemorating All the Christians Killed and Tortured in the Middle East

On Friday, Yelena Agapova, Vice-Chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS), stated that the IOPS would create a White Book containing the names of all the Christians killed and tortured by the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation and other radical militant groups, saying at a press conference at Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, “The IOPS community centre for the protection of Christians in the Middle East and North Africa has begun preparing a White Book, where we give the names of victims and glaring instances of harassment and persecution of Christians, which we’d pass to UN structures and present for the judgement of the world public”. She spoke of the situation in the Iraqi city of Mosul, which now has almost no Christians, despite the fact that under former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein they accounted for 40 percent of the population. Agapova said, “Today, for the first time in 16 centuries, there are no worship services in Mosul’s churches”. She stated that IS militants forced local Christians either to convert to Islam, or pay a special tax of 250 USD (11,450 Roubles. 1,530 Renminbi. 15,400 INR. 280 CAD. 288 AUD. 202 Euros. 160 UK Pounds) per month for each family member, or leave the city. The IS, also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), has fought the Syrian government since 2012. In June 2014, the group extended its attacks to northern and western Iraq, declaring a caliphate over the territory that it controls.

I’m not in complete agreement with Mr Roberts… he refuses to see the evil in Reagan’s unleashing of the Neoliberal Monster… but most of what he says is true and you should attend to it. His pointing up of the dangers of the present world situation is all too real… we should attend to the fact that the USA is the main author and source of this evil. The main evil is Neoliberalism and Reaganite pseudo-economics (along with “Evangelical” pseudo-religion that’s nothing but an apologia for it)… everything else flows from that. Mr Roberts doesn’t go far enough… but he does go a long way down the right road. In short, never disregard the truth, no matter who speaks it… otherwise, you’re a thrice-damned fool.

The consequences of Washington’s reckless and irresponsible political and military interventions in Iraq, Libya, and Syria unleashed evil. The various sects that lived in peace under the rule of Saddam Hussein, Gaddafi, and Assad are butchering one another, and a new group, ISIS, is in the process of creating a new state out of parts of Iraq and Syria. The turmoil brought into the Middle East by the Bush and Obama régimes meant death and displacement for millions and untold future deaths.  As I write, 40,000 Iraqis are stranded on a mountain top without water awaiting death at the hands of ISIS, created by US meddling. The reality in the Middle East stands in vast contradiction to the stage-managed landing of George W Bush on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln where Bush declared “Mission Accomplished” on 1 May 2003.  The mission that Washington accomplished was to wreck the Middle East and the lives of millions of people and to destroy America’s reputation in the process. Thanks to the demonic neoconservative Bush régime, today, the rest of the world regards America as the greatest threat to world peace.

The Clinton régime’s attack on Serbia set the pattern.  Bush upped the ante with Washington’s naked aggression against Afghanistan, which Washington clothed in Orwellian language… ”Operation Enduring Freedom”. Washington brought ruin, not freedom, to Afghanistan. After 13 years of blowing up the country, Washington is now withdrawing, a few thousand lightly armed Taliban defeated the “superpower”, but it left a wasteland for which Washington won’t accept responsibility.

Another source of endless Middle East turmoil is Israel, whose theft of Palestine is Washington-enabled.  In the middle of Israel’s latest attack on civilians in Gaza, the US Congress passed resolutions in support of Israel’s war crimes and voted hundreds of millions of dollars to pay for Israel’s ammunition. Here we witness Great Moral America 100 percent in support of unambiguous war crimes against essentially defenceless people. When Israel murders women and children, Washington calls it “Israel’s right to defend their own country”… a country that Israel stole from Palestinians… but when Palestinians retaliate, Washington calls it “terrorism”.  By supporting Israel, declared to be a terrorist state by the few moral governments that still exist, and accused of war crimes by the UN General Secretary, Washington violates its own laws against supporting terrorist states. Of course, Washington itself is the leading terrorist state. Therefore, it’s illegal under US law for Washington to support itself.  However, Washington doesn’t accept law, domestic or international, as a constraint on its actions. Washington is “exceptional and indispensable”.  No one else counts. No law, no Constitution, and no humane consideration have authority to constrain Washington’s will. In its claims, Washington surpasses those of the Third Reich.

As horrific as Washington’s recklessness toward the Middle East is, Washington’s recklessness toward Russia is many orders of magnitude greater.  Washington convinced nuclear-armed Russia that Washington is planning a nuclear first strike. In response, Russia is beefing up its nuclear forces and testing US air defence reactions. It’s difficult to imagine a more irresponsible act than to convince Russia that Washington intends to hit Russia with a pre-emptive first strike. One of Putin’s advisers explained to the Russian media Washington’s first strike intentions, and a member of the RF Gosduma made a documented presentation of Washington’s first strike intentions. By marshalling the evidence, I’ve pointed out in my columns that it’s impossible for Russia to avoid this conclusion.

China is aware that it faces the same threat from Washington. China’s response to Washington’s war plans against China was to demonstrate how they’d use their nuclear forces in response to any attack by Washington on China to destroy the USA. China made this public, hoping to create opposition amongst Americans to Washington’s war plans against China. Like Russia, China is a rising country that doesn’t need war to succeed. The only country on earth that needs war is Washington, and that’s because Washington’s goal is the neoconservative one of exercising hegemony over the world.

Prior to the Bush and Obama régimes, every previous US President went to great efforts to avoid telegraphing any nuclear threat. US war doctrine was careful to keep nuclear weapons limited to retaliation in the event the USA suffered a nuclear attack. The purpose of nuclear forces was to prevent the use of such weapons.  The reckless George W Bush régime elevated nuclear weapons to pre-emptive first use, thus destroying the constraint placed on the use of nuclear weapons. The overriding purpose of the Reagan administration was to end the Cold War, and, thereby, the threat of nuclear war.  The George W Bush régime, together with the Obama régime’s demonisation of Russia, overturned President Reagan’s unique achievement and made nuclear war likely.

When the incompetent Obama régime decided to overthrow the democratically elected government in the Ukraine and install a puppet government of Washington’s choosing, the Obama State Department, run by neoconservative ideologues, forgot that the eastern and southern portions of Ukraine were former Russian provinces attached to the Ukrainian SSR by Communist Party leaders when the Ukraine and Russia were part of the same country… the USSR.  When the Russophobic stooges that Washington installed in Kiev demonstrated in word and deed their hostility to the Ukraine’s Russian population, the former Russian provinces declared their desire to return to Mother Russia. This isn’t surprising, nor is it something that we can blame on Russia. Crimea succeeded in returning to Russia, where Crimea resided since the 1700s, but Putin, hoping to defuse the propaganda war that Washington mounted against him didn’t accept the pleas from the other former Russian provinces. Consequently, Washington’s stooges in Kiev felt free to attack the protesting provinces; they followed the Israeli policy of attacking civilian populations, civilian residences, and civilian infrastructure. The presstitute Western media ignored the facts and accused Russia of invading and annexing parts of the Ukraine. This lie is comparable to the lies that US Secretary of State Colin Powell told the UN about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction in behalf of the criminal Bush régime, lies that Colin Powell later apologised for to no avail as his lies destroyed Iraq.

When the Malaysian airliner crashed, before anyone knew the facts, they blamed Russia. The British media was especially primed to blame Russia almost the instant that it knew that the airliner crashed.  I heard the BBC’s gross misrepresentation and blatant lies on American National Public Radio, only the Daily Mail’s propagandistic account was worse. The entire “news” event appears orchestrated prior to the event, which, of course, suggests that Washington was behind it. The airliner deaths became all-important for Washington’s propaganda war. The 290 casualties are unfortunate, but they’re a small fraction of the deaths that Israel inflicted on Palestinians at the same moment, without provoking any protests from Western governments, as distinct from Western peoples in the streets… Western security forces conveniently suppressed the people’s protests against Israel. Washington used the downing of the airliner, which probably was Washington’s responsibility, as an excuse for another round of sanctions… and to pressure its European puppets to join the sanctions with sanctions of their own, which Washington’s EU puppets did.

Washington relies on accusations and insinuations… it refuses to release evidence from satellite photos, because the photos don’t support Washington’s lies.  They don’t permit facts to interfere with Washington’s demonisation of Russia any more than facts interfered with Washington’s demonisation of Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Iran. Twenty-two reckless and irresponsible US senators introduced the “Russian Aggression Prevention Act of 2014,”  US Senate bill 2277, sponsored by Senator Bob Corker, who well represents in his ignorance and stupidity what appears to be the majority of the American population or the majority of voters in the state of Tennessee.  Corker’s bill is a mindless piece of legislation designed to start a war that would be likely to leave no survivors.  Apparently, idiotic Americans will elect any fool to power. The belief that Russia is responsible for the downed Malaysian airliner has become fact in Western capitals despite the total absence of even a tiny scrap of evidence in behalf of the claim. Moreover, even if the accusation were true, is one airliner worth a World War?

The UK Defence Committee concluded that a broke and militarily impotent UK must “focus on the defence of Europe against Russia”.  The military spending drums, if not the war drums, are beating and the entire West joined in. A militarily impotent Britain is going to defend Europe from a non-existent, although much-proclaimed, attack from the Russian bear. American and NATO military dignitaries and the Pentagon chief are issuing Russia Threat Warnings based on alleged (but non-existent) Russian troop-build-ups on Ukraine’s border.  According to the Western Ministry of Propaganda, if Russia defends the Russian populations in Ukraine from military attack from Washington’s stooge government in Kiev, its proof that Russia is the villain. Washington’s propaganda campaign has succeeded in turning Russia into a threat. Polls show that 69 percent of Americans now regard Russia as a threat, and that Russians no longer trust the American leadership.

Russians and their government observe the same demonisation of their country and their leader as they observed of Iraq and Saddam Hussein, of Libya and Gaddafi, of Syria and Assad, and of Afghanistan and the Taliban just prior to military assaults on these countries by the West.  For a Russian, the safest conclusion from the evidence is that Washington intends war on Russia. It’s my opinion that the irresponsibility and recklessness of the Obama régime is without precedent.  Never before has the US government or any other nuclear power’s government gone to such great efforts to convince another nuclear power that it was setting it up for attack.  It is difficult to imagine a more provocative act that more endangers life on earth.  Indeed, the White House Fool has doubled up; convincing both Russia and China that Washington plans a pre-emptive first strike on both. Republicans want to sue or to impeach Obama over relatively inconsequential issues, such as Obamacare.  Why don’t Republicans want to impeach Obama over such a critical issue as subjecting the world to the risk of nuclear Armageddon? The answer is that the Republicans are as crazed as the Democrats are.  Their leaders, such as John McCain and Lindsay Graham, are determined that “we stand up to the Russians!”  Wherever one looks in American politics one sees crazed people, psychopaths and sociopaths who shouldn’t be in political office.

Washington long ago gave up diplomacy.  Washington relies on force and intimidation.  The US government is utterly devoid of judgment.  This is why polls show that the rest of the world regards the US government as the greatest threat to world peace.  Today (8 August 2014), Handelsblatt (Germany’s Wall Street Journal) wrote in a signed editorial by the publisher:

The American tendency to move from verbal escalation to military escalation… the isolation, demonisation, and attacking of enemies… hasn’t proven effective. The last successful major military action the USA conducted was the Normandy landing [in 1944]. Everything else… Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan… was a clear failure. Moving NATO units towards the Polish border with Russia and thinking about arming the Ukraine is a continuation of relying on military means in the absence of diplomacy.

Washington’s puppet states… all of Europe, Japan, Canada, and Australia… enable Washington’s unrivalled danger to the world by their support of Washington’s agenda of exercising hegemony over the entire world. The 100th anniversary of World War I is upon us.  We’re repeating the folly that caused this war.  WWI destroyed a civilised Western world, but it was the work of a mere handful of scheming people. The result was Lenin, the USSR, Hitler, the rise of American Imperialism, Korea, Vietnam, the military interventions that created ISIS, and now resurrected conflict between Washington and Russia that President Reagan and M S Gorbachyov had ended.

As Stephen Starr pointed out on my website, if we only use 10 percent of the nuclear weapons in the US and Russian arsenals, life on earth ceases to be. Dear readers… ask yourselves, when has Washington told you anything that wasn’t a lie?  Washington’s lies have caused millions of casualties.  Do you want to be a casualty of Washington’s lies? Do you believe that Washington’s lies and propaganda about the Malaysian airliner and the Ukraine are worth risking life on earth?  Who’s so gullible that he can’t recognise that Washington’s lies about the Ukraine are like Washington’s lies about Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction, Iranian nukes, and Assad’s use of chemical weapons? Do you think that the neoconservative influence that prevails in Washington, regardless of the political party in office, is too dangerous to be tolerated?

Gosduma Deputy Sez American Chemical Weapons Report in Syria “Fabricated”

On Friday, RF Gosduma Deputy Aleksei Pushkov, head of the RF Gosduma International Affairs Committee, stated that a US government report concluding that Syria used chemical weapons against rebels, crossing what US President Barack Obama has previously described as a “red line”, is a fabrication. He posted on Twitter, “Information about the usage of chemical weapons by [Syrian President Bashar al-] Assad is fabricated in the same way as the lie about [Saddam] Hussein‘s weapons of mass destruction [in Iraq]”. US intelligence reports presented to the UN and the international community prior to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 claimed Saddam Hussein’s régime possessed weapons of mass destruction including nerve agents, ballistic missiles, and a nuclear weapons programme. The USA claimed the threat posed by those weapons justified the invasion of Iraq, but after the country was occupied, the alleged weapons of mass destruction were never found. Pushkov said that President Obama “is going the same way” as former President George W. Bush did then.

On Thursday, the White House said that it now believes with “high confidence” that Syrian government forces used chemical weapons many times during the two-year conflict there, and vowed to boost American aid to the armed opposition fighting to remove Assad from power. White House Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said Obama had decided to provide further support, including military support, for Syrian opposition forces as a result of its conclusion that government forces has used such chemical weapons. Rhodes declined to clarify whether this support would entail providing arms to the Syrian opposition, but he said that American aid to armed opposition on the ground would differ greatly “in scope and scale” from assistance Washington had previously provided to the rebels. Rhodes said that the American goal is to “strengthen their effectiveness”. Syrian government officials have accused opposition forces of using chemical weapons against President Bashar al-Assad’s military in a March attack in outside of the northern city of Aleppo. Some 93,000 people are believed to have died since fighting broke out between Syrian government forces and rebels in March 2011, according to the latest UN figures.

Let’s start with a quote from Frank Rich:

The country has a larger problem… “intellectual nihilism,” as the writer Noam Scheiber recently labeled it. Since 9/11, often, but not always, under the right’s aegis, truth has been destabilised in America. The Bush administration’s contempt for what it dismissed as the “reality-based community” was vindicated when it successfully ginned up a war by convincing Americans that the 9/11 hijackers were Iraqis and that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Our susceptibility to elaborate, beautifully wrought myths remains intact… whether we’re being spun by politicians, captains of finance pumping up a bubble, or sports heroes like Lance Armstrong and Joe Paterno. The news business, which we once counted on to vet hoaxes and fictions, is now so insecure about its existential future that it was cowed to some extent by the Scarboroughs, Noonans, and Roves, with most of the networks, not just Fox, ignoring the statistical data of Silver and others and instead predicting a long, nail-biting Election Night. In reality, the election was called for Obama at 23.12 EST on NBC, just twelve minutes after it had been in 2008. Our remaining journalistic institutions have even outsourced what used to be the very core of their craft, fact-checking, to surrogates relegated to gimmicky sidebars (awarding Pinocchios and “pants on fire”). The fact-checkers have predictably become partisan targets, only further destabilising the whole notion of what is meant by “news”.

Daniel Patrick Moynihan might be surprised to learn that he’s now remembered most for his oft-repeated maxim that “everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts”. Yet, today, most Americans do see themselves as entitled to their own facts, with one of our two major political parties setting a powerful example. For all the hand-wringing about Washington’s chronic dysfunction and lack of bipartisanship, it may be the wholesale denial of reality by the opposition and its fellow travellers that is the biggest obstacle to our country moving forward under a much-empowered Barack Obama in his second term. If truth can’t command a mandate, no one can.

Much the same is happening in the OCA Succession Crisis (Part Deux)… some parties are paying no attention to what goes on right in front of their noses, so much so that the coming result may be just as much a shock to them as President Obama’s convincing victory was to the rightwing blogosphere. For instance, the Blunder was recently in the USA. The konvertsy all go gaga over this POS pseudo-intellectual. Trust me, he’s nothing but a powerless vicar bishop… indeed, he used to be a ruling bishop, but he fucked up so royally that HH demoted him (especially after his tits-up in England over the Osborne Affair). He has ONE PARISH in Bolshaya Ordynka under his jurisdiction, that’s all (there are archpriests with more parishes than that under their care).

HH took away two-thirds of the old DECR away from him, and he made sure that Vsevolod Chaplin and Mark Golovkov were out from under his thumb. All real people know that the real “foreign minister” of the MP is Mark, who’s HH’s kinsman to boot. I don’t know why the konvertsy blowhards fall for him… the evidence to the contrary is there for all to see. One of the closest confidants to HH is Varsonofy Sudakov, but you never hear the konvertsy speak his name, ever. As an MP source told me, “They’re so close [HH and Varsonofy] that you couldn’t slip a piece of paper between them”. Vsevolod Anatolyevich is the closest confrère of HH, and Mark is obviously his “anointed”. Yet, none of the konvertsy experts at Monomuckos speak of that… could it be that they’re ignoring reality?

The Blunder’s visit to Villanova University (a papist institution… the Catholics have more regard for this quasi-papist twit than the Centre does) in Philadelphia had been on the burner for quite some time… it had nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy. He met with Tikhon Mollard and with the Syosset/SVS set… not with anyone else. However, this visit did clear up one thing… it proved that Tikhon Mollard is the cat’s paw of the Syosset set, who’ve made a shaky truce with Bobby (as was shown by Mollard’s signing on to the appointment of Perich to the District).

Nothing has changed. Yustinian Ovchinnikov served with Mel Pleska at St Nick’s… not with Tikhon Mollard (nor was Fathausen present). Don’t be fooled by Fathausen’s closeness to Potapov. Potapov’s been ploughing his own furrow for years. He’s always had an independent source of income due to his job in the Langley apparat… that’s meant that he’s had the money to pursue an “independent” path. Do bear that in mind. Most of all, he wasn’t named to the “Gang of Four” (Lebedeff, Gan, Balashov, Dudko) charting the course and outline of the New ROCOR.

The Centre’s nod is still for Mel Pleska. Do your duty…
