Orthodox Christians have to be aware that the Church considers Mormonism a sectarian cult; they aren’t considered Christians in the least. The Church labels it a Satanic counterfeit and delusion. The Catholics and legit Protestants agree with us in this in all particulars. Notice well that American Radical Sectarians such as Southern Baptists, Pentecostalists, and other “evangelicals” are all flocking to Romney‘s banner. That’s because these sects are, essentially, identical under the skin. Again, to reiterate, the Church condemns Mormonism as a cult… and we should have as little to do with sectarians and their conventicles as possible.
That’s why Vladyki Nicholas of Detroit’s giving the invocation at the Democratic Convention tonight, and it’s why that action is God-pleasing. No Orthodox Christian should vote for a godless cultist. Remember, the worst of that ilk are those who mouth piety… remember what Our Lord Christ said of those like that… I know thee not. This year, it isn’t just politics that should guide your vote… the fact that the Republican candidate is a godless sectarian cultist should give you pause.
