On Thursday, citing sources and eyewitnesses, OstroV news website reported that junta forces launched a large-scale military operation involving artillery and combat aircraft in Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. A post on the Free Slavyansk Twitter stated, “They say that people aren’t allowed to leave Cherevkovka, where an offensive is underway using helicopters and airplanes. One can hear explosions and gunfire near the railway. They say that there are weapons on the premises of the 66th and 70th kindergartens”. Social network websites report that there are disruptions to mobile phone services in the area due to traffic overload problems on the cellular network.

Witnesses told RIA-Novosti that the opolchenie shot down a junta helo near Slavyansk, saying that it crashed near Chervonny Molochar. There are no further details.

Eyewitnesses told RIA-Novosti that the opolchenie used an anti-aircraft gun to shoot down two junta helos. Fourteen junta personnel, including a general, died in the shootdown of the second helo {that sounds like a Mi-8 slick: editor}. The news coincided with UNIAN reporting that junta forces suspended their operations against Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

On Thursday afternoon, the Slavyansk opolchenie HQ stated, “At this moment, the town is under fierce howitzer and mortar shelling, but no air strikes so far. However, the enemy turns back cars and buses at checkpoints, not letting civilians leave town. They turned back a bus evacuating children from Slavyansk after detaining it at a checkpoint for five hours”.

On Thursday, Aleksandr Borodai, the Chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) Government told journalists, “All those dead [in the fighting at the airport] are now identified. Today, we’re sending 33 bodies from the morgue to relatives. We’re in touch with all the families”. Some 100 people died in clashes with junta forces in Donetsk on Monday. Over 50 were opolchenie, with nearly the same number of civilian dead. Most of the opolchenie died when junta irregulars opened fire on two KAMAZ trucks carrying wounded to hospital. Some 15 corpses remain near the airport as the so-called “National Guard” (sic) prevents people from removing them by shooting at all those who try to do so.

It’s clear to all comers that the Uniate terrorists are beyond the pale. One of the recognised customs of war is that one allows the enemy to remove their dead. Another is that one doesn’t fire on wounded in transit to treatment. This shows you the absolute depravity and outright diabolicalness of these bastards. They’re an abomination… one can’t negotiate with them; one can only kill them when one finds them. What I find reprehensible is that rank n’ file Uniates REFUSE to condemn these sorts. That’s why I recommend that you avoid contact with them at all costs. You can’t tell if your interlocutor is innocent or a fanatic, so, it’s best to err on the side of caution. At the least, it avoids open conflict.

I fear that the enormities of the so-called “National Guard” (sic) are building up hatred in the region. When the junta loses, bands of revengers will spring on the local Uniates, seeing them as traitorous quislings. I’m not spreading hate, I’m reporting what’s there… sometimes, “what’s there” is feral and ugly… on ALL sides. I call ’em as I see ’em.

The dramatic events of recent days in the former southeastern Ukraine, in the Donbass, should no longer only be the subject of public debate, of parliamentary “round tables”, or of expert comments or diplomatic assessments; indeed, it should lead to political statements and actions in Russia. The monster of Nazism revived in the Slavic land of the Ukraine after the great USSR fell apart. It’s now on the rampage, killing Russians, Jews, and Ukrainians; its firestorm burns civilians, the elderly, women, and children. Let’s face it, for seventy years, there wasn’t any death, grief, or tears on this scale in our Russian home, in Russia. It pierced many of our families to their heart and soul. Gradually, we’ve become aware of the reality and irreversibility of the loss of relatives, close friends, and colleagues there. Oligarchic-Nazi criminal bastards took over the power structures of the state, including the army. The new president supported their move to shed the blood of innocent Ukrainians and others in the southeast, in nascent Novorossiya.

It’s impossible and unacceptable to wait for a miraculous peaceful resolution of the bloody conflict between the illegitimate junta and the people’s protests. It’s impossible to stand with the West after watching the carnage taking place in Lugansk, Donetsk, Odessa, Kharkov, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Mariupol, Lisichansk, Andreyevka, and in dozens of other localities in the former southeastern Ukraine. Clearly, diplomatic and economic measures are fruitless against the illegitimate Ukrainian junta. Its leaders are nothing but puppets with no honour or conscience, whose enormous bloodshed and massive killing led to establishing systemic evil. The inertia of the Russian leadership is incomprehensible, especially, after its public promises in February of support and assistance to Russian and other peoples in the Ukraine who suffered from Banderovtsy death squads and Kolomoisky’s thugs after their peaceful protests against the Nazi junta’s coup d’état.

It’s time to wake up! The Bandera junta isn’t only the enemy of the people of the Ukraine. These Nazis are our enemies, too! If we Russians still bear the blame for the death and blood of our compatriots involuntarily stranded on newly alien soil after the treacherous 1991 Bialowieza accords, then, the blame for those killed in the Ukraine will fall on us. Remember the words of the great Generalissimo A V Suvorov, Russia’s famous military genius, “If you’re a true patriot of the Motherland, you must kill the enemy wherever you find them. If they survive, the enemy will engage in a new war, and sooner or later find a way to kill you and your people”. Russia passed through the fire of German Nazism and defeated it at the cost of the lives of thirty million Soviet citizens. It can’t and won’t tolerate the threat of a Fascist revival on our borders!

In this regard, I consider the following necessary:

• the President and Russian government should promptly provide comprehensive political-military assistance to the fraternal people of Novorossiya
• the state leadership and RF Federal Assembly, on the basis of the recent referendums, should recognise the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics as sovereign independent states through appropriate legislation

Life does go on in the Hero-City of Slavyansk. For six weeks, it’s been under siege by junta forces, with almost constant attacks and shelling. Note well that the junta pigs can’t take the city. I think that the regular junta soldiers don’t want to fight… and that the Right Sector Uniate terrorist filth don’t know how to (they do know how to brutalise and bully, but they’re snivelling cowards unable to fight real men who stand up to them). Every day that Free Slavyansk stands condemns the American pro-fascist policy in the former Ukraine (that country is now a dead letter… it’s only waiting to collapse). Look at these pictures… the opolchenie fights with superhuman vigour because they know that the Right Sector terrorists would rape their women, brutalise their children, and destroy their homes. There’s no room for compromise. The Uniate junta has to leave Novorossiya… full stop. You don’t negotiate with evil… you expel it.

Note well that there are elements amongst us in the American Russian Orthodox diaspora who still support the Republican Party and its warmonger policies. Such people are traitors to our ancestral Motherland, to our Orthodox faith, and to the justice-seeking people of Novorossiya. We should expose those who work for American intelligence (even associated bodies like the bogus “Radio Liberty”) and those who give aid and comfort to the enemies of the Orthosphere by hanging around neocon/rightwing venues (like Rod Dreher and Paffhausen). These people spit on the podvig of Hero-Slavyansk. They need to face our obloquy and disapproval.

If you love justice, you’ll stand with Slavyansk… if you love truth, you’ll stand with Slavyansk… if you love God, you’ll stand with Slavyansk. Don’t let them fall!

An ITAR-TASS correspondent reported that the Euromaidan squatter camp in the centre of the Maidan wouldn’t break up. The squatters claimed that they wouldn’t disperse until they’d vetted the new President, Poroshenko. One boasted, “We aren’t going to go away. We’ll give him (Poroshenko) a chance. Let’s say, one month”. The situation there is quiet today. The squatters prepared meals and played music, and local merchants laid out tables with souvenirs. Now, this part of city is one of the most popular amongst tourists. Only 8-10 “Maidan Self-Defence” terrorists were visible, but there was one additional barricade.

On Wednesday, opolchenie sources told Interfax that junta forces near Rubezhnoye (Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR)) fired artillery at opolchenie positions. Eyewitnesses heard explosions and small arms fire. On Tuesday, the MVDU claimed that it seized the Donetsk airport, previously held by patriot forces. Furthermore, they claimed that they suffered no losses in doing so {if that isn’t a lie: editor}. The Mayor of Donetsk said that there were about 40 dead. A opolchenie source told RIA-Novosti that junta so-called “National Guard” (sic) forces used explosive bullets, saying, “Apparently, the ‘National Guard’ (sic) doesn’t know that international law bans explosive bullets”.

Interfax reported that Donetsk coalminers marched in protest against the junta repressions in Novorossiya. They marched from the Eternal Flame monument to Lenin Square in the city centre. The marchers completely blocked Leninsky Avenue and Universitetskaya Street. Several thousand miners chanted, “We won’t forgive, Donbass” and “Fascism won’t pass”. They carried the flags of Russia, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR), and the Donbass People’s Opolchenie (DNO). Many of them wore orange miner’s helmets and cars passing supported the miners by blowing their horns. Official DNR sources tweeted, “Around 3,000 protesting miners are marching from the To the Victims of Fascism memorial to the DNR government building (the former Donetsk Oblast OGA* building) in Donetsk”.

On Wednesday, the DNR administration wrote on their Twitter microblog, “Information appeared in the media about shooting near the SBU building in the centre of Donetsk. Opolchenie fired at a drone and shot it down”.

Slavyansk opolchenie sources told Interfax, “As of now, there’s chaotic firing in Artyomovsk from the Slavyansk refinery”. Junta armed bands fired at opolchenie positions near Khimyuk Raion and firing continues in Semyonovka.

Semyon Semyonchenko, the “commander” of the so-called “Donbass Battalion” (composed of Right Sector terrorists… a group of murderers much like the SS Dirlewanger Brigade), wrote on Facebook, “Talks are under way with the Minoborony Ukrainy and the SBU about the creation inside the Donbass Battalion (sic) of a special unit with official status, heavy weapons, and modern equipment to ensure reliable protection of the state border, destroy mobile groups of terrorists (sic), and perform reconnaissance and counter-subversion (sic) tasks”. By the way, by “terrorists” he meant the patriot opolchenie of the LNR and DNR. The arch-terrorist leader of the Right Sector, Dmitri Yarosh, formed the Donbass Battalion.

On Wednesday, Chairman of the LNR Government Vasili Nikitin told reporters in Lugansk, “I’ve proposed that we hold a parliamentary election on 14 September. We may also hold local elections on that same day”.

On Wednesday, the Kiev State Administration announced that the junta announced a new call-up of conscripts; it plans to draft 1,308 recruits. The recruits are to go from Kiev to military units from 4 June to 31 July 2014.

On Wednesday, LNR President Valery Bolotov told reporters in Lugansk that junta’s massing forces around Lugansk, but the opolchenie is ready to repulse the aggression, saying, “There’s been skirmishes and gunfire. The enemy continues to mass troops and hardware. They constantly change locations and sometimes line up in battle formation. The opolchenie had the time to prepare for a possible attack and have several fully combat-ready units available”

On Wednesday, Interfax reported that LNR President Valery Bolotov told a press conference, “We should stop legal chaos within the shortest time possible. LNR legislation would follow the principles in the Russian Federation legal code, for Ukrainian legislation doesn’t suit us, as Ukrainian laws favour the oligarchs. Our laws would help the dismantling of the oligarchic system, enable economic de-monopolisation, and prevent corruption. We’ll have two official languages, Ukrainian and Russian”.

Note well that the LNR takes care of the Ukrainian-speaking minority (frankly, if left alone, Ukrainian would die out within two generations, as it lacks the necessary structure for a major modern language). On Wednesday, a opolchenie spokesman in Slavyansk told Interfax, “Today’s howitzer and mortar shelling destroyed a kindergarten and residential buildings. It injured seven civilians, including a child. Enemy forces are still shelling Slavyansk, and people are taking shelter in building basements”.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MID) posted a statement on its official website that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his US counterpart John Kerry on the Ukrainian situation. The MID statement noted, “They discussed various aspects of the acute internal crisis in the Ukraine in the context of the presidential election on 25 May. Lavrov emphasised the need for the immediate cessation of Kiev’s punitive operation in the southeast and the early start of a national dialogue, including direct talks with southeastern representatives for a peaceful settlement”. The MID pointed up that the Americans initiated the conversation, stating that Lavrov and Kerry agreed “to continue working closely together”.

Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin said at a UN Security Council meeting that the UN Secretariat must put a lid on the use of UN-labelled vehicles in the junta repressions in Novorossiya. He stated, “We urge the UN Secretariat not to be a detached observer of this flagrant violation of UN regulations, to look into this question, and to take efficient measures for stopping these discrediting practises. A simple denial of these facts by the Kiev authorities is definitely insufficient”.
