DonNTU First University to Receive the Academician V P Glushko International Prize

00 DonNTU award. Donetsk. 31.03.15

Today,Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU) was the first DNR educational institution awarded the prestigious Academician V P Glushko International Prize. The son of the prominent scientist, Major General A V Glushko, handed over the award to A Ya Anoprienko, DonNTU Rector. General Glushko spoke about the DonNTU’s achievements, “It’s one of the most-recognised higher institutes in the SNG due to its compelling research in hundreds of projects for a variety of industries, from geology and metallurgy to mechanical engineering and mining. Even in wartime, in fact under conditions of blockade, it still pays special attention to promote science and technology”. In turn, Rector Anoprienko said, “DonNTU has received the first Academician V P Glushko International Prize. In time, the award will go to leading scientists, artists, and pilot-cosmonauts. We’ll do our best to continue research in our school, to train and develop higher-education science”. DNR Minister of Education and Science Igor Kostenok congratulated DonNTU’s students and faculty, “Today, the DNR is emerging. It’s important for us not only survive, but to develop systematically. In this, our foremost assistants are scientists and higher science, which since Soviet times were amongst the top ranks. We should undertake the most serious study. Awarding such high honours… that’s the best way to do it”.

The International Academy of Spiritual Unity of the People of the World UNESCO “For the Promotion of Science in Literature” established the Academician V P Glushko International Prize in 2005. Over the next eight years, the Academy gave out the award, but there are no records of who received it and what they received. This was due to the lack of a legal basis, as well as financial difficulties. After 2013, due to the efforts of the St Petersburg Foundation for Support of Education and Science, the Prize became official.

V P Glushko (1908-89) was a Soviet engineer and scientist specialising in rocket and space technology and was a pioneer in liquid rocket engines. Beginning in 1974, he became director and general designer of NPO Energiya, which designed the 11K25 Energiya booster-rocket/MTKK Buran reusable space shuttle system. He became Academician of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and the USSR, twice winner of the State Prize of the USSR, and twice Hero of Socialist Labour.

LNR Sez Junta Forces Redeployed 200 Armoured Vehicles Near Lugansk

00 Gvozdika SPH. 31.03.15

Editor:

I decided to translate this as there are mistranslations circulating claiming that the LNR alleged that 200 self-propelled artillery systems (SPAS) redeployed near Lugansk. Rather, the source said that there were 200 vehicles of all sorts, INCLUDING self-propelled artillery. I think that this is due to machine translations and to people not familiar with military terminology, usage, and doctrine. 200 SPASs would mean 50 batteries under current junta organisation (4 guns per battery), which translate out to 16 2/3 battalions, which would be fire support for 5½ divisions. I think it doubtful that the junta has 200 operational SPASs all told in its inventory, let alone 200 deployed to the area of Lugansk alone. Have a care with stuff on the web… fools and charlatans post much of it…

Last night, a VSN source in the LNR informed us that the junta forces redeployed 200 armoured vehicles from Belovodsk to areas near Lugansk, saying, “From 23.00 yesterday evening to 06.00 today, the VSN confirmed the redeployment of Ukrainian armoured vehicles from junta-occupied Belovodsk to areas near Lugansk. The equipment included self-propelled artillery systems of various sorts. This is a flagrant violation of the Minsk Agreements. We advised the Joint Centre for Monitoring and Coordination of this redeployment of Ukrainian armoured vehicles”.

Plotnitsky Sez LNR Not Concerned Over Lack of UN Humanitarian Aid… Thanks Putin for Aid in Face of Junta Economic Embargo

00 Feed the Hungry in Donetsk. 03.03.15

______________________________

Today, Chairman of the LNR Government I V Plotnitsky said at a media briefing in Lugansk that a lack of UN humanitarian aid to Novorossiya wouldn’t harm the LNR. Earlier, the UN stated that it couldn’t send food aid to the DNR and LNR due to a serious lack of funding. According to a report of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, it only received only 16 percent of the 316 million USD (18.4 billion Roubles. 1.96 billion Renminbi. 19.7 billion INR. 400.5 million CAD. 414.8 million AUD. 294.1 million Euros. 212.8 million UK Pounds) requested to help Novorossiya residents. Plotnitsky commented, “We aren’t surprised by such a statement. Compared with the volume of humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation, UN humanitarian aid was just a trickle. Our [Russian] brothers didn’t leave us in the lurch to face the economic blockade ginned up against us by the Ukraine and its allies. Today, thanks to the Russian Federation in general and to V V Putin in particular, we have all the necessities that we require. Fact is, the UN didn’t give us much, and it didn’t affect much. We thank them for their help, but we can fend for ourselves”.

31 March 2015. Thank You for the Victory! Uphold the Values of the Anti-Hitler Coalition, NOT the Values of the Nazi Monsters!

In this series, I’ve done my best to choose complementary images of the Soviet and American veterans. I’ve done my best not only to match gender and poses, I’ve done my best to match the expressions, as well… to underscore the common humanity of them all. If you want to honour the World War II vets, you have to honour the VOV vets… and vice versa.

Remember those who came before us and never forget what they endured to smash Hitler and his evil. Don’t support the heirs of the Nazis today. Support the free people of Novorossiya… it’s your duty before God and man…

Nothing is forgotten… No one is forgotten!

They all had faces… They all had names…

They cleansed the earth of a horrid evil…

THANK YOU!
